ds2 is currently asleep using one of dd's (clean) slinki minkis as a pillow!

AnnVan · 29/08/2008 14:52

Oh dear. I'm so tempted to buy just a few FLuffles. DP isn't keen though. He says 'if they're so good why are they discontinuing them??

sunflower78 · 29/08/2008 15:15

lollipop - yes, due on Wed... soooo tired of this, and been nauseous and headache all day on top of painful kicks and joints... Had curry and hot spicy pasta, but all I got was sleepless nights with heartburn ...

And I can't wait to try those Sandy's (bamboo ones are sooooooooooo soft, got them on BBM's advice) and the pink wonderoo, and the fluffles!!! they look so cute and soft... really, have to stop looking at nappy sites, or I'll give in soon and spend money I don't have on so many I have on my wish list ....

Sunflower - Uhhhg, I can't wait to never have heartburn again! I had never had it once before getting pg, I've got it now even though I haven't eaten anything for hours, you can't win!

I like the look of the Sandy's the most too, although I really like the pink rainbow totsbots that i've got, but it's just a shame that a wrap has to go over the top, makes it a bit pointless imo, like with the Ella's House designs, I'm right in thinking they are on the inside? I just don't get it!

AnnVan · 29/08/2008 16:00

Sunflower and Lollipop think of me, suffering heartburn, insomnia, restless legs, sickness and SPD. Due tomorrow. There's really no sign that anything is going to happen soon

I feel your pain.

lollipopmother · 29/08/2008 16:01

BBM - Thanks for the link, just what I was looking for.

sunflower78 · 29/08/2008 16:31

Lollipop - Yeah, know what you mean, there are so many pretty ones, but then you need to cover them up with a wrap. Pocket ones at least are just as they look (that's why I got a nice btp pink one), but they are more expensive... really like the fabrics of pocket bots, so I think once baby's bigger I'll invest on a few of those for special occasions (not much point really on a newborn, but on a crawling baby they'd look so cute ...)

Thinking of both of you anyway, lollipop and annvan... off to scrub the bathroom now, you never know...

MatNanPlus · 29/08/2008 17:52

MatNanPlus · 29/08/2008 17:55

AnnVan - Oh God, I have your list of ailments minus the SPD and the sickness so I totally feel for you.

Matnan - I am making my reusable wipes tomorrow, my mum is kindly bringing her sewing machine round. I was thinking of cutting the fleece and the flannels into the same sized squares and then sewing one of each together on three sides so that it's a sort of mitt, with one side fleece and one side flannel. No idea if this is what is normally done. What were you planning to do?

MrsJamin · 29/08/2008 18:36

sunflower78 - the prettiness of the pockets with the practicality of 2-parters is what drew me to Itti Bitti D'Lishes, they are lovely and soft on the outside, and break down in price (£13) like £5.75 for the nappy and £7.25 for the wrap - very economical too. I too thought that it was pointless having nice nappies if you covered them up in a drab plasticky feeling wrap! In hot weather DS is just in a t-shirt and his Itti Bitti D'Lish - soooo cute and fluffy!

LackaDAISYcal · 29/08/2008 18:39

lollipopmum, I think that's a great idea for the wipes.......you should start making and selling on ebay or the likes. I'm sure they would sell like hotcakes

MrsJamin · 29/08/2008 18:45

Ooh actually that is an interesting idea lollipopmum, minimises the risk of poo on your hands!

LackaDAISYcal · 29/08/2008 18:47

and you can "dig" out those stuck to the bottom poos with impunity

FrannyandZooey · 29/08/2008 18:48

hello would it be ok to ask a question without reading the whole thread please?

LackaDAISYcal · 29/08/2008 18:49
