@Kj1010 aw thank you. She was mesmerised by the balloons ha. Lenny sounds adorable. Totally agree with being lucky that we have all night sleepers.
I'm not up as early as you but going back to work after all this time with covid etc when I wasn't allowed to work was a definite shock to the system. Now how do we get to the new thread. Is there a link?. I love checking in on everyone and this has been such a great sounding board over this last year .... I don't want to miss out lol

Jwl45 · 11/11/2021 23:58

Oh ignore that. That was in April .... Not sure why I had a recent notification.... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Kj1010 · 12/11/2021 07:51

@Jwl45 oo o was gonna say there's a new thread I never knew lol

Ahh happy birthday Elsi. Hope you had the most lovely time. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Noah is almost 11 month, still not crawling.. I know they all do it at their own pace but you can't help but worry. I think we might be going through a sleep regression stage too as he is usually such a great sleeper but not the last week or so... God it makes you tired doesn't it how are you all doing??

Yellowbeansontoast · 15/11/2021 12:54

Lovely reading everyone's updates! My LO is turning 1 next weekend, time flies. He's taking lots of independent steps, says mama, dada and banana, loves animals, waving at people, reading books, being outside and playgrounds. Sometimes he sleeps through, sometimes not but has transitioned to one nap only.
Still has 3-4 bottles/day + three meals and plenty snacks and most recently loves feeding himself with a spoon.

Kj1010 · 16/11/2021 14:48

Brilliant hearing updates lenny is near on walking now he is letting go and walking more and more each day he loves feeding himself and the animals lol I finished his birthday presents at the weekend so that's out of the way we are just going too do a little party indoors with family for him but I am going to do my own little smash cake photo shoot and dress him as a peaky blinder lol how quick a year has gone

Hi everyone, how are you all? Lovely to see the chat is still going.
Can't believe the babies are turning 1, where has the year gone?!
Hope you are all doing well x

Jwl45 · 17/11/2021 22:41

We had the dreaded 💉💉💉💉😳 4!!!! Poor baby. Oh how she screamed. Got over it pretty quickly mind. Had a nap, and has danced and played all night.
She weighs 20lb 14oz.
HV said to try and drop the bottle now... This will be quite easy I think ....even though she loves it when she has it, she doesn't cry for it or anything.
I'm still boiling and cooling water... Don't think we have to any more ?! But it's a habit lol.
My kitchen counter tops look all clean and tidy without tommee tipee and the steriliser!
Elsi says mami dadi ydw(yes in Welsh) , and right de...(right then in Welsh) as well as a load of other babbles and sounds. Loves dancing to Beyonce 🤣

kkr168 · 19/11/2021 21:48

So nice seeing everyone's updates.

@Jwl45 Happy belated birthday to elsi, I can't believe our babies are turning 1 😭

Tommy has been walking for almost 8 weeks now, he has mastered it & is now trying to run, resulting it lots of falling over! He's on his 2nd pair of Clarks shoes, after going from a 4g to a 5g in 4 weeks, my god they are expensive!

@Kj1010 we did a DIY photoshoot, wanted the pics ready for his birthday on the 2nd December. It was alot harder then I thought it would be & considering he is always smiling, he would not smile 🤦🏻‍♀️. His cake was a nightmare to make as he's dairy free, the buttercream just wouldn't thicken & was literally melting off the cake whilst we did the photos.

Tommy still wakes once or twice a night, last week I cut his night feed in the hope he'd sleep through. It hasn't worked but he settles easily back to sleep. He is eating so much better now that he's having less milk, he's currently on 3 (6oz) bottles a day but I don't think he'd miss his midday bottle, any idea when they should go down to 2 bottles?
He still hasn't been seen by the allergy clinic or dietitian for his milk allergy, on chasing it up we found out his Dr hadn't completed his referral properly. She has now done it but his appointment isn't until end of February & we've been told not to start the milk ladder until he's been seen.

Jwl45 · 19/11/2021 22:31

@kkr168 aw thanks. Walking? Oh waw. Keeping you busy then.
Elsi has decided to wake once a night too this last week... Hoping it will pass. She quickly goes back to sleep after a cuddle.
We are on 2 bottles of cow's milk now. She hasn't been asking for them these last few days in the evenings as such. She's been dropping off to sleep without.
The thumb goes in the mouth....
I asked the HV on Wednesday about how much milk she should be having. She said roughly half a pint a day.... But this could be in the form of breakfast e.g. Weetabix , yoghurts, cheese. Etc. She's loving her water too.

Jwl45 · 19/11/2021 22:37

@Nic2908 thank you. We had the day celebration... Which was only little due to work etc.
And a tea party for family on the Saturday.
I'm cross with myself for not taking enough photos! I'm normally such a click happy person... I mean thousands 🤣
Look out when he is crawling... And yes all these gorgeous little people are all different and develop at their own Pace. I wouldn't worry. ☺️

Asianchick6693 · 24/11/2021 11:55

Hey guys, lovely to see updates from everyone 💗 my daughter turned 1 on Monday, where has the time flown!! I think she's a little slower on the physical side of things. She literally started crawling a couple of days before her birthday but has been cruising since about 10.5 months. She has her boosters booked for a fortnight. I think it will break my heart watching her cry especially because she's more aware.

She can say mum, dad, dada for my MIL and nana for my mum. She does a lot of gasping when she sees something nice. She comes gives you kisses if you ask for it or if she feels like it, she can show you the light, play peek a boo, clap hands, wave bye bye and raise her arms up to show you how tall she wants to be. She also scrubs herself in the bath and pretend to put cream on her face and rub it in 🤣. It's crazy seeing her grow and change pretty much daily.

I'm so happy this thread has carried on for the year. I've not been as active on it the last couple of months but I do always like to have a read to see how everyone is getting on. Safe to say my PPD has gone as well, I didn't take any treatment just therapy but I think it was all I needed, helped me massively.

I also start work in 2 weeks, using a KIT day next week and the week after. I'm super nervous! I hope everyone has enjoyed/enjoys their LOs birthdays. Mine had 2!! One in Wales with my family and one up north with my husband's.

Jwl45 · 25/11/2021 21:47

@Asianchick6693 so glad to hear you're well. These little milestones are fab aren't they...these new tricks that they're learning. Although I still find it hard to believe they are turning 1! Like you, it's lovely to hear how they're all getting on. 🥰

Kj1010 · 01/12/2021 18:27

Evening ladies hope everyone is OK my lo has got molars coming through and oh my god the soreness moods and waking up of a night is a killer and to top it off at my work there is only me and my manger cleanig a whole school at the moment and looks like it will stay like this till after Christmas so I am basically shattered getting up at 3.30am I'd a defo killer but on the upside my lenny turns one on Tuesday his taking more steps every day but stills prefers the crawling his also now clapping his hands together I've been giving him one formula bottle first thing then cows milk throughout the day and currently doing well as I think as soon as he turns one the prep machine is gone but I'm not sure on the steraliser j might still use that even though he picks up things from the floor etc lol what have you guys done who's babies have turned one or are about to

OP posts:
Jwl45 · 01/12/2021 19:11

@Kj1010 hia
When Elsi turned 1 a couple of weeks ago, I went straight to cow's milk. Prep machine washed and away! We had 2 cartons to finish which we did in-between somewhere! I kept sterilising for a few days and boiling water to put in her cup out of habit. Soon stopped mind.... I don't sterilise now and she drinks water from the tap. 😊 These big teeth are a pain.... We're ok so far but she has had the odd awful scream which must be the teeth. I can see the 2 bottom ones popping through. I'm not sure I could get up at half 3 to go to work.... 😏

Kj1010 · 02/12/2021 07:16

@Jwl45 I am thinking why sterlise when he has cows milk normal hot wash should be fine we have a tiny bit of formula left and that's it won't be buying again when gone he eats more than enough to get nutrients just need to get some vitamins for vitamin d etc he has his top molars coming no bottom ones yet poor babies and I am struggling slightly but it is only temporary and my managerbis giving me overtime so the extra pennies will come in handy even though won't gwt till January

OP posts:
Jwl45 · 02/12/2021 07:34

@Kj1010 yes I just do a normal hot sink wash and no problems. HV told me 1/2 a pint of calcium is more than enough whether it be milk... Cheese.. yoghurts or milk. She also said to begin weaning off the bottle now. This won't be hard as she's not calling for it at all and goes to sleep without. So I'm aiming to do that. She drinks plenty of water too in a cup .. haven't tried milk on a cup yet to be honest.

Kj1010 · 23/12/2021 17:44
