have sent him to nursery today in pants. with 4 spare pairs of shorts - though not entirely sure that will be enough.

Aefondkiss · 17/07/2007 10:33

well we are well passed the 5 day mark and still feel like it is goig slowly... ds will go to the loo, but he will also pee wherever he is, aware that he is peeing but not telling me...

mazzystar I hope the shorts come back dry...

I have been thinking of starting to use re-useable pull ups at night.... ds seems to be dry most nights and it is only if we don't get him to the loo early that he is wet...

we have had no pee success this morning... I just need to stay calm?

fishie · 17/07/2007 12:08

not too bad with cm yesterday, one accident first thing, one big wee in pot after nap but then held it until back home with me. i am treating this as a step forward, holding on for 4 hours! is developing loo phobia now, oh the therapists bills to come....

oh eys

fishie · 17/07/2007 12:22

god yes he is on super special sweets, shrimps jelly crocs white choc mice etc. i cannot tempt him onto that loo nor get him to drop his trousers. apart from the holding for four hours we are no further forward than when we started.

coddy · 17/07/2007 12:23

how old?
id say no pants or toursers at home

fishie · 17/07/2007 12:27

2.3 that is what we already do with 95% success rate hence onto next step. or not!

cm has her own of 23m so there are limits to her saintliness.

penguinmum · 17/07/2007 12:29

i think choc AND a comic were the turning point for me - dd out to get as much as she can from me! stickers ok, but choc works better. and grapes - she will do anything for a grape!

fishie · 17/07/2007 12:36

he really wants the car (for a poo on the loo) and bravely tries but won't sit down.

one wee on loo in four days of trying, compared to countless wees on pot and a few puddles. he is very resistant. is he NOT READY?

penguinmum · 17/07/2007 12:54

would just like to recommend snibston discovery museum in Leicestershire for a day out - potty provided in baby change room!

fishie · 17/07/2007 13:11

someone pinched a potty from outside cheapy shop near me, we saw it beside the fishmonger's shop with a big wee in it

robinpud · 17/07/2007 13:28

Well maybe here

daisybo · 17/07/2007 17:03

cod and other experts - i need some advice. on day 2 of potty training, all bar 1 wees in the potty but all poos in the pants
also i ask him every half an hour if he wants to go and he always says yes and produces a wee in the potty, so we have gone through hundreds of chocolate buttons!!
just wondering at what point i don't ask him and let him work out when he needs to go, or does this not happen for a while yet?
am a bit concerned about his chocolate intake! lol!

mazzystar · 17/07/2007 19:57

am fuming with the nursery

apparently he wet himself twice. but hten he said he needed a poo and they put him in a nappy. fgs

am going to ring them tommorrow in case dh hasn't got the story right but as he has brought home lots of dry clobber i suspect that they just couldn't be bothered.

very strange as they are usually incredibly good

fishie · 17/07/2007 21:38

ooer four wees with cm, three in pot one in trousers. one poo in pot at home, one wee in pot one attempt at standing up completely missing pot. he is still running around upstairs, sweetie overload.

mazzy that is really annoying. luckily cm is very keen so my hopes are renewed.

daisybo i believe there was another pants pooer at bottom of thread.

Aefondkiss · 17/07/2007 23:38

my ds pre pants was regular, twice a day poo in nappy... now we get poo every two days when he can no longer hold it in, pants or no pants... he refuses to sit on loo or potty... the poo is so infrequent now it is hard to guess when it is coming... it is no harder to deal with than a nappy, but the stress is we haven't been anywhere since the 8th of july... will we ever go out again?

my life as a recluse...

I am working up the courage to go out, honest.... I did go to the post office last week.... and we had a brief trip in the car on saturday..... the weather hasn't helped
