Despite the fact that my house never seems to look really clean or tidy, i am amazed at how much i have got done already today.

  • Took DS to doctors/chemists
  • Emptied dishwasher
  • Made us both lunch, then picked DS's up from the floor
  • re-filled dishwasher
  • Put washing on line
  • Washed more clothes
  • Picked up CDs and DVDs after DS (again!)
  • Picked up toys (again!)
  • Made some bottles up and not forgetting, found time to potter on the net.

No wonder the days where i go out to work seem soooooo much easier!

moodlumthehoodlum · 21/05/2007 23:21

Is it too late to tell you what I did today?

Got up before dcs. Changed two horrible nappies. Breakfast all round. Made pack lunch to eat in car after Monkey Music and before nursery. Packed up stuff to go to post office. Drove to PO on way to Monkey. Monkey Music with dd and ds. Drove to nursery and then had sandwiches and pears in the car outside nursery. Dropped DD off to nursery. Then did Ocado shop whilst DS asleep. DH picked dd up. Teatime. Tidied toys. Realised I hadn't put washing out. Bath time. Bed time. Cheeky curry. Lots & lots of ironing whilst watching awful Au Pair programme which made me pleased to be a SAHM.

Lact8 · 21/05/2007 23:37

Hello moodlum, was just admiring your name, then read post and found out it's really you!

DS2 has been great for the past week or so. Yay! Still doing the day planning sheets with him but as long as it works I don't mind.

How's your DD getting on? Or should that be how are you getting on?

I'm not looking forward to halfterm next week, I relish my 'free time' without him in the afternoon How fickle I am, def no danger of tears in the playground now

Sakura · 22/05/2007 07:26

I feel like I should be doing more (but I do have a tiny flat and theres no space to own anything, so that saves on tidying up)

7:30 wake up with DD (8 months)
7:45 I check my e-mails then go on MN for my morning meditation
I`m attempting early potty training (an experiment) so that keeps me on my toes for the morning.

8:45 DD has her bath, then I get her to sleep for her nap at about 9:30

Then I put the washing on then hang it out, and eat breakfast (usually whilst on MNet )

10:00 am I start getting busier. A quick tidy up and then I take her to a mum & toddlers group

12:00 Have lunch with other mums with kids twice a week/buy lunch and go for a walk

2:30 Go home for DD`s afternoon nap. I usually have a cup of tea and do some study (trying to learn Japanese)

3:30 usually go for a walk (I`ve not got a garden and DD is very restless by the afternoon)

4:00pm every day, I go food shopping (the country I`m in is designed so you basically must food shop every day- no freezers, and tiny portions of things, not frozen food available)

5:00pm prepare dinner

It basically the same every day, but I like it

PregnantGrrrl · 22/05/2007 08:29

i can't believe how much some of you get done in a day! if i spent less time being bored and asking what everyone else was doing, perhaps i'd get more done too.

I'm doing faff all today. I'm going to be a SSAHLM (A sick stay at home lazy mother) Lovely DS has given me his delightful cold. Still, it's a day off my paid work. Hoorah!

OP posts:
elsieanjoanne · 22/05/2007 09:38

i think some of you have accidently put your to do lists on! lol

cupcakesgalore · 22/05/2007 09:48

wow. I thought this was a thread started topday and couldn't believe how much you all got done before 10am! Feel more adequate now i've realised that it was y'day!

eidsvold · 22/05/2007 09:55

itis almost 7pm here and so far today:

got 3 dds up and breakfast, dressed for kindy (dd1) dd2 and 3, dressed for the day.

dropped dd1 off at kindy

stopped at shops for nappies and bits

made biscuits with dd2

ironed some clothes

washed some clothes

made dd2 and my lunch

picked dd1 up from kindy

done a photocopy run of a flyer for 80 kindy families and put it in pockets

emptied dd1's kindy bag

done a huge wash up, unstacked and restacked dishwasher

made dinner for dds and dh and then myself. Dh had to go out early

got dds ready for bed, put dd1 and 2 in bed

also during that time - changed however many nappies have all 3 in nappies, taken dirty nappies out to bin, breastfed dd3 four times or maybe 5.

now just having my dinner and mumsnetting.

did pop on mumsnet around lunchtime when dd2 was having her afternoon sleep

gosh that does not look like a lot but I am knackered - guess having a heavy head cold doesn't help.

eidsvold · 22/05/2007 09:56

oops forgot to add - put away two laundry baskets full of laundry.

LadyTophamHatt · 22/05/2007 10:01

So far today,
showered all 3 bigs Ds's (and myself with hair wash)
made packed lunches
breaskfast for kids
taken ds1+2 to school
rinsed all washing up stuff
taken ds3 to nursery

Hassled · 22/05/2007 10:05

So far: packed lunches, dealt with DS3's diarrhoea, shower, school run, dealt with DS3's diarrhoea, loaded washing machine, washed up, made lego spaceship, dealt with DS3's diarrhoea, found Star Wars video, sorted recycling, and here I am waiting until the next time I deal with DS3's diarrhoea! This SAHM lark is great, isn't it?

SueBaroo · 22/05/2007 10:34

pottering about this morning, done quite a bit of tidying, sorted out a menu and shopping list, trying to get back into following the routine, ha de blinkin' ha. All the children have colds and runny tummies, so everything has to be flexible today.

that's me, bendywoman!

largeginandtonic · 22/05/2007 10:41

Was up at through the night with dd as she had her adenoids out and gromits in on sat. Also up to ds#4 as he does not sleep through yet, and myself up for a wee 3 times as am 9 days overdue! Not been to sleep yet, feel like it is still yesterday!

Got all 5 up and brekkied, took dh to work for 8am.Made the pack lunches. Got them all dressed and walked them all to school, leaving 3 there. DD and ds#4 home with me.

Hoovered and sorted out the first load of washing. Dashed up stairs to do my hair and door went, mother in to look at me for a while to see if i showed any signs of labour today (wtf?)

Have just fed the 2 home a snack and am now on here.
