Despite the fact that my house never seems to look really clean or tidy, i am amazed at how much i have got done already today.

  • Took DS to doctors/chemists
  • Emptied dishwasher
  • Made us both lunch, then picked DS's up from the floor
  • re-filled dishwasher
  • Put washing on line
  • Washed more clothes
  • Picked up CDs and DVDs after DS (again!)
  • Picked up toys (again!)
  • Made some bottles up and not forgetting, found time to potter on the net.

No wonder the days where i go out to work seem soooooo much easier!

after getting 2 children up and breakfasted and dropping DD at school I have:

Put washing away and another load on
cleaned bathroom
hoovered 6 rooms
picked up DP who dropped the other car off for its MOT
been to visit next doors cat (just had an op so keeping an eye on him whilst neighbour at work)
made some phone calls
playd with DS
checked emails, MN etc
made lunch
cleared away lunch

Bagpuss30 · 21/05/2007 13:34

Today I have:

Made breakfast and then cleared away
Taken ds1 to school
hung out two loads of washing
emptied dishwasher
made vast quatities of play dough for kids to play with later
swept floor
put ds2 down for nap
made lunch and cleared away
mn

Slightly limited as to what I can do at the moment as dd has chickenpox and so we can't really go anywhere. Will get round to proper housework later in the week though I promise!!

PeppermintStick · 21/05/2007 13:35

Built a makeshift den in garden for ds
Played football with ds
Read a chapter for my Open Uni work
Worked on some photographs for Open Uni short course
Ordered a rebounder
Printed out some colouring sheets for ds
Chatted to dh on googlechat about news and interesting genetics article from yesterdays Times
Ignored washing up/laundry/cleaning
Now wasting time online while ds plays on Sesame Street website on the laptop

Still to come:
More studying
Working on novel
Playing with ds
Rush round at 4-5pm doing all boring housekeeping stuff and not having time to finish it before starting on tea

Oh, we WOHMs know that all you SAHMs have sat on your fat bums all morning, eating custard creams and watching Jeremy Kyle!

PeppermintStick · 21/05/2007 13:58

cruisemum1, exercise is for evenings

We have an elliptical and multigym in the conservatory and between 8 and 9 dh and I exercise together as we're both fatties! But I get bored doing more than 20 mins on the elliptical so I bought the rebounder for variety.

Do I seem busy or was it sarcastic?! I can't tell online I certainly thought I was less busy than everyone doing housework!

PetronellaPinkPants · 21/05/2007 13:59

Thank god I am at work

All that sounds so tiring!

percypig · 21/05/2007 14:01

Got DS and myself dressed!
Got breakfast for DS and did some dishes
Stripped our bed and put bed linen in wash
Took DS to mums and toddlers
Emailed a few people
Made lunch for DS and put him to bed
Mnetted...

I had PLANNED to also have made some necessary phone calls, tidied and cleaned kitchen and done a wee bit of ironing by now...time to get off the computer.

princessmel · 21/05/2007 14:05

*Took ds to Nursery
*Went to my friends for a cup of tea with dd. She plays with her dd.
*Collected ds and a friend from nursery and took them to another friend for lunch. I stayed too.
*Took dd home to bed for a nap
*Done a load of washing

Later I will

*Hang out washing
*Make tea. 2 separate things for my 2 and the (fussy) mindee
*Collect ds from the friends house
*Take ds to Football
*Collect mindee and his friend from Cricket
*Empty dishwasher
*Tidy kitchen

And after the lo's are in bed I'll coook dh and my dinner and sit down!

sohappyicouldcry · 21/05/2007 14:08

Unfortunately, I have had to do most of that (although only have 1 dd of 10 mths) AND have got to go to work tonight for 12 hrs .....

Jelley · 21/05/2007 14:08

So far I have done

breakfast x4
supervised dds getting ready for school/listened to reading
school run x 2
bank
tescos
library
cooked spag bol x6 to go in freezer/eat tonight
defrosted freezer
been in loft to store assorted junk
clean etc in kitchen
washing x 3
sorting/dryin/putting away of more washing
all between mumsnetting, nappy changing, cuddling and playing with ds.

I have lots more cleaning and cooking to do today, plus two school runs (why can my children not do after school clubs on the same day, I wonder?)

am a tad at the thread title tbh

"actually done" ????

GameGirly · 21/05/2007 14:13

I know what you mean, Tutter, but I guess it's just one of those phrases that doesn't translate well in writing. It obviously wasn't meant "like that".
Am exhausted reading about what everyone else has been up to, although admittedly I have to go home and do most of it later. Oh well, c'est la vie, it could be worse. MN often makes me feel very lucky indeed.

ScottishThistle · 21/05/2007 14:14

Is this Xenia bait or what???

GameGirly · 21/05/2007 14:15

Oh, I don't think it was meant in "that" way, was it? (perhaps I'm being dense . The OP's been quite busy, IMO.
