Despite the fact that my house never seems to look really clean or tidy, i am amazed at how much i have got done already today.

  • Took DS to doctors/chemists
  • Emptied dishwasher
  • Made us both lunch, then picked DS's up from the floor
  • re-filled dishwasher
  • Put washing on line
  • Washed more clothes
  • Picked up CDs and DVDs after DS (again!)
  • Picked up toys (again!)
  • Made some bottles up and not forgetting, found time to potter on the net.

No wonder the days where i go out to work seem soooooo much easier!

Got up, got myself ready, made ds his breakfast, read him 3 stories, played on his railway with him for a bit, put a load of washing on, got ds ready for pre school, took him to pre school, went to tesco, did the shop, came home, put it all away, tidied up, loaded dishwasher, put the dry clothes away, had lunch, ordered some stuff from amazon & am now on mn.

This afternoon I am mostly planning to sleep and have a bath....getting over whooping cough at the moment so still feeling a bit rough.

VERY busy day tomorrow - dh will be away on business - and next week is half term here so got to plan some "adventures" for me and ds

Feeling a bit like a low achiever in comparison with largeg&t... Hope you are now putting your feet up and doing something relaxing like having a baby.

I on the other hand, have barely scratched the surface of busy-ness today in comparison.

Got up. Got dd & ds up. Went to the dr for pill prescription whilst dh did the remainder of breakfast. Faffed around all morning unpacking and packing the dishwasher and loading and unloading/hanging out a million loads of washing. Children went feral around the garden and redecorated the downstairs loo with sand from the sand pit. Hurrah. Unpacked the shop that the nice Ocado man brought. DH raised eyebrows that I had taken the expensive approach to doing the week's shop. Dropped dd off at nursery late. Picked up prescription from chemist. Read Thomas and the Fogman to ds many times before convincing him that a nap was the way forward, but he is now "reading" Thomas to Minnie Mouse in his cot. Now on MN (self evidently admittedly) and winding myself back up to go and pick dd up, cook supper, go to the recycling place etc etc..

Lact8 - good to hear from you, and that your ds2 is still doing brilliantly. Well done him. DD is doing really well and today went in for the first time without a look back - and yes, I am hoping to fast forward half term because I LOVE my afternoons (does that make me a mean mummy?!). What ARE we going to do when the summer holidays come along?

TenaLady · 22/05/2007 14:34

Bugger all, bit of telly, bit of food, bit on the computer. Oh yes I washed up and plumped the pillows in the front room

SueBaroo · 22/05/2007 14:58

a menu is something that means I don't buy shedloads of unneccessary crap when I do the shopping...

TenaLady · 22/05/2007 15:00

Very good, Ive tried that before but always go off the rails by Tuesday

SueBaroo · 22/05/2007 15:09

Oh, bloody hell, I don't stick to it. It's just there so that I have some clue what I might be able to make from what I've got in the freezer...

I've been on a rally down the seafront with dd1 and ds4 calling on the RCN to support Independent Midwives. Quite exhilirating actually.

EmilyandLola · 22/05/2007 16:18

can I join in waves hello I'm Emily...

Today I have put away washing upstairs, done 2 loads of washing myself

done 2 loads of my mums washing (her machine is broken)

hoovered out my car and washed the windows

sorted out bathroom and scrubbed bath

hoovered downstairs

banked some cheques from ebay sales

took DD to my sisters and played in the garden

about to cook dinner...

lou33 · 22/05/2007 16:22

given kids breakfast and got them off to school, then accompanied ds2 on his swimming lesson (he needs help in the pool) as i do every tuesday.

got back from that, and drove to portsmouth to get the nintendo wii fixed, drove back, went to sainsburys, unloaded that on the doorstep and drove to collect kids from school

once they were collected i tried in vain to find a working car wash, then dropped dd2 to her friends for tea, and i have just got in.

now i am going to tackle the kitchen

PeppermintStick · 22/05/2007 19:19

Today, not much!

DS with childminder so I should have been a whiz studying and cleaning, but couldn't be bothered! Instead enjoyed lazy time alone, and now must study this evening while dh cleans!
