SAHM's...what have you actually done today?

Despite the fact that my house never seems to look really clean or tidy, i am amazed at how much i have got done already today.

  • Took DS to doctors/chemists
  • Emptied dishwasher
  • Made us both lunch, then picked DS's up from the floor
  • re-filled dishwasher
  • Put washing on line
  • Washed more clothes
  • Picked up CDs and DVDs after DS (again!)
  • Picked up toys (again!)
  • Made some bottles up and not forgetting, found time to potter on the net.

No wonder the days where i go out to work seem soooooo much easier!

DeviousDaffodil · 24/05/2007 20:18

I owuld rather be aet work.
Find the days at home just one long chore.

BrummieOnTheRun · 24/05/2007 20:48

I'd normally rather be at work too. But today was sunny

Trying to set up a business, so lots of online research to try and do, but other than that it's mostly domestic crap I wish I could still afford a (much more competent) Romanian to do.

Laugh at myself as I reel from one domestic disaster to the next with baffled 11 week old looking on. Fortunately for the other 2 kids, they are at nursery 2 days/week.

Upside was 1hr in a playground near the seafront in the sun.

pinkspottywellies · 24/05/2007 21:17

*Had lunch with old work colleagues
*Had hair cut

(DD and I both washed, dressed, fed etc)

Got kids to school and nursery, and was then off to ride (a horse) for 2hours in glorious sunshine in beautiful Ashdown Forest. Rushed home to meet daughter at swimming pool (she gets picked up by another mum who joins us for kiddies swimming lesson) then put supper in the oven on timer before rushing off to my daughter's tennis lesson. DS1+2 were picked up from school to join me at my friends house where they then had their tennis lesson.
Rushed home to rescue supper and am just about to whisk them off for a bath and bed. Might see dh by 9pm, finishing late yet again after yet another over-running NHS operation list.
Now dreaming of that cool glass of wine, planned for about 8.30pm tonight.

StinkyPete · 25/05/2007 18:58

fed me and 2 los breakffast, cleared up.
supervised them playing in garden while i did 2 loads of washing and hung out on line; cleaned 3 toilets and 2 toddler seats; vacuumed downstairs throughout.
did some baking with ds
went to play-date for lunch (she'll come to us next week). supervised 4 los playing while other mum prepared lunch.
sat and nattered with a cuppa for a bit
got home in time to host 4 mums and toddlers for play session in our garden; served fresh baking from this morning [smug smiley]!
made salmon, pasta and veg for family tea and cleared up after.
cleared up mess left behind by 6 los playing in garden for the afternoon.
7pm - after being up and on the go for 12+ hours, am having a little time by myself on here!!

lou33 · 25/05/2007 19:01

Dogsby · 25/05/2007 19:02

NuttyMuffins · 25/05/2007 19:05

Normal morning school stuff, then came home and did some washing, tidied kitchen junk draw and one cupboard (only cos i opened it and stuff fell on my head).

Had lunch, sorted cardboard boxes with ds, made a list of stuff i need to buy to make his robot and that was about it. Watched Ds watching tv, which is highly amusing sometimes.
