Ok, the thread's too long for me to something similar has been covered, but you seem quite impressed with it, so.......

DS2+3, 10 and 8, can sometimes be a pita at bedtime. (Sometimes aided and abetted by DS1).

They're loud and boisterous lads, and tbh most of the time they're only sitting talking, but they're soooo loud.

The problem is DH sometimes has vvv early starts and often goes to bed before them, and then is kept awake by their nattering.

What should we be saying to them to get them to show some consideration, be quieter, and ultimately go to blardy sleep?

the nasty one is something something grudges something

I can't see it now

ahundredtimes · 03/06/2007 22:04

Oh dear Franny. No not really, but I have good front and stylish clothes, so you'd never guess at the panic inside. DID you notice how I was nice about you? DID YOU?

Interested in this thread?

I'll tell you what my dh says to me about once a week, 'This isn't about you'. Are you going to say that now Franny? I hear it alot.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 22:05

well.....I thought you could have leapt in and ripped her head off, actually

I was disappointed at the lack of bloody corpses by the time I arrived

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 22:06

I would never say that [shocked]. It is always about me

unknownrebelbang · 03/06/2007 22:07

No no, this is about ME (or rather my boys).

ahundredtimes · 03/06/2007 22:09

Oh sorry. I even put a wink emoticon in and stuck up for you in brackets. Yes, I probably should have, but I thought she was a bit of a nutter and a mad grudge bearer, so I went for a disdainful smile and moved quickly on. Have learnt my lesson. Will be FEROCIOUS from now on.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 22:15

Cod for a sensitive soul such as myself that was DEVASTATING

If 100x hadn't done her winky thing, and her brackets, and all, I doubt I would have been able to get over it, ever

HELP - If anyone is about how do I get DD dressed for pre-school. She is 3, naked, and wants to stay naked all day

P.S - saw that thread Franny. I'd have been hurt too. Hope I didnt contribute to your stress yesterday, and btw, I have bought a mooncup for when af comes back after b/f

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2007 09:06

Glass Slipper no you certainly didn't! I never mind having a discussion or people disagreeing with me when people are as polite as you were

As to your naked dilemma I have really not got the hang of this HTT thing but I think you could say

"if you don't put on your clothes, you'll be cold when we go out and when you get to playgroup, everyone will be very surprised to see you with no clothes on, and you won't feel very comfortable sitting down on their chairs with no pants on" etc etc

or the other HTT technique is "Wouldn't it be great if we could all be naked all the time? We wouldn't have to ever put clothes on and we could see everyone's bottoms all day long" etc

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2007 09:07

and

GlassSlipper · 04/06/2007 09:50

well, before I read your advice

I said : I'd love to wear no clothes all day to but do you think all of the other boys and girls at pre-school would think we were very silly.

dd: yes, it would be funny. Ok, can I wear the dress I wore yesterday.

me : that's a great idea but it is dirty.

dd: i want to wear it

me : I'd love to wear yesterdays clothes all day but do you think all of the other boys and girls at pre-school would think we were very silly.

dd : ok, if i go round the house twice on my scooter i can get dressed into todays clothes

filthymindedvixen · 04/06/2007 09:55

F&Z, I missed that thread, was it while I was away? What's with personal attacks on people on here? Twunts. (Haven't seen it BTW don't think I want to read it.

GlassSlipper · 04/06/2007 11:31

lol, we painted toenails at the weekend for a week of dry nights! The scoot around the house seemed to work so might go with that...

I always give a warning but she is getting darn good at distracting me

unknownrebelbang · 04/06/2007 16:25

Mine do a good line in distraction.

Cod did you have a good time? Not been on for a few days either - can't catch up until everyone goes home - dd1s party today and people staying.

100 i was very helpful! pulled in punters, and dished out advice when you left me on my own. Not my fault i didn't read the book, i think my advice may have been very helpful actually. I'm thinking of writing a book.
