Do you know that mine have never asked for a scooter? Bizarre, isn' it? Dd would like rollerblades. I might save them for her birthday in the spring.
I bought Playmobils (have you seen there is the school now?), sylvanian families and a lunar station for ds.

Touching base then I am off to bed. Another bad night not with high febbre but waking every 40 mins screaming ....A bit snotty today so off we trotted to paed as not doing a weekend like this .. SHe had gola rossa and ears a bit red and chest filling up so a light anti b for her. I was / am not too happy but doc basically said minirosa had a very nasty infection a month ago and her defences are giu vedrai there will be another antibiotic needed before winter is out ...Gee thanks Doc . Then swapped daughters and off to hops to see Ottarino ! He was running late had not fed dd in fear of vomit over hysterics.. She had her ears washed out and had lots of tappi.SO looks as we will be frequent visitors to see him . She screamed and I was almost in tears ! She then fell asleep as we were coming out of hosp so I got back home at 4pm !
Its Madonna del Salute in Venice domani and so Dh is going mega early and will light 25,0000 candles for good health in this family for the next year !!! Its a true tradition and of course dd will have a huge balloon that will sit on the door handle until it deflates!
P.S Seen my first fur coat - was a short minky ( I think ) jacket with hat.. Lady must have been steaming !
I think I might change my name to Rosa Bindi ??????
Baci to you all .....

PippiHasALifeOfRiley · 20/11/2009 19:42

Oh Rosa.... don't know what to say. I feel for you and the dds and I hold your hand! Lots of hugs.

Sputnik · 20/11/2009 20:54

Here's wishing you and MiniRosa a better night.

Love the new name AG
I am in denial about a tory govt after the next election. DC was in that infamous dining club at Oxford where they got roaring drunk and probably threw up over unsuspecting plebs, wasn't he?

Camomilla · 20/11/2009 21:01

oh, Rosa, DD2and my DD must have been in it together, we had the same cry-non-stop for an hour 2 nights in a row now, guess mix of jab and blocked nose (there she goes again... will she ever fall asleep tonight?). hopefully you won't have to take dd1 back too soon

lol at the 25000 candles!

don't know what we're getting the DC. we'd really like a new play kitchen as they both love the tattered one we have, but we're getting a wooden one in the hope it'll last longer (though the one we have was well pre-loved, so can't complain). Ikea have a new one, if it ever arrives... boh..

gio71 · 21/11/2009 07:01

Rosa what a time you are having!!! How is everyone this morning? I hope the candles work!Camo how is your DD-did you get more sleep?
Agree with all the comments re DC. Background shouldn't mean that someone's politics lie in one field or the other but in the UK with very few exceptions (Tony Benn I love you) it does tend to be the case. The classes are still too divided from education onwards. And however much DC promotes his caring sharing Toryism they are still the same party behind that, still got the 1922 committee and George Osborne repulses me! Antonio (love the name) we always were dragged around door to door leafleting and canvassing as kids and my Dad still does it. That's the easiest way to get involved- there will be so many floating voters and people who aren't naturally Tory but are pissed off with Labour voters this election that I think it'll be crucial this election. Although the pessimist in me thinks there is no point as result is a done deal .

Oh Rosa, your poor dds!!! And poor you . I hope that the candles of the Madonna della Salute work .

Gio, hello! Yes, totally agree with you. My aunt used to take me to manifestazioni when I was a child. I also vaguely remember, when I was around 9, that she took me to Rome for a weekend and even took me to a meeting of cgil . That wasn't exactly good fun

Dh has just took ds to his football match, so it's me and dd alone... Peace reigns

Pippi, how was your night out? I had a great time, even got a little bit drunk.

OP posts:
Rosa · 21/11/2009 13:51

Minirosa now a bit better thanks but I don't like the cough hey ho at least she is eating again ..... It must be the candles !!
Xmas I am behind and dh for once has my regalo sorted plus I have ordered myself one of those fingerprint bracelets.
DD1 will be getting a bike and a few other bits. Minirosa building bricks and some useful things ....feeding spoons , cups etc.Dh said I am to start looking at the Canaries again for Jan as he feels the dd's need sole ...I haven't got the energy to start .....
I have a bed ful or ironing and dh is in lavoro so I better go and be useful or the dd's will be naked next week.....

Francasaysrelax · 21/11/2009 14:05

Oh yes, I agree with your dh, sounds like the dds need a bit of sunshine and dry weather . (Actually, I'll be very of you going to the Canary islands )

I used to be sent to Liguria with my grandmother for a few weeks in February when I was little. I loved it

OP posts:
TheMysticMasseuse · 21/11/2009 19:28

gosh rosa what a horrible time you're having, so sorry! i agree that a bit of sole and mare sound like the best possible cure at this stage. you could go to Madeira like Sissi

feeling a bit down today. don't know why really as i had a good week, yesterday in particular was a lovely day, dd1 off for lunch at a friend's house, dd2 on best behaviour, lovely friend came for lunch, dh home at last... but today, boh it must be the rain, or the overwhelming feeling of "salto nel buio"... i feel stressed, deflated, scared for the future... franca i may be on that train to Milan within weeks if not days!

sorry. although i bought a pair of very hard ass mid calf biker boots whcih are so un-masseuse as to be almost ludicrous. but i liked them and they are comfy and they cheered me. think i will have to cheer myself further by watching X factor [brainless emoticon]

PippiHasALifeOfRiley · 21/11/2009 20:00

Honestly MM if the biker boots make ia a spanish one we seem to own the same things!!

I am off to watch The Changeling.

Francasaysrelax · 22/11/2009 10:33

Oh I love mid calf biker boots! I think they are very stylish and look lovely with "romantic" dresses as well.

Sorry to hear you are feeling down MM, I think you are allowed some ups and downs with the moving being so imminent.
Have you heard about the school for the dds in G?

Oh yes, come and see me in Milan! I hope this will cheer you up

OP posts:
minervaitalica · 22/11/2009 10:47

Rosa,

I hope your DD's recovery is continuing... MiniMI has also come down with a cold and a cough, but so far it does not look like it's anything too serious - but we did not get much sleep either so .

Camo... My apologies to your DS... Will never suggest tinsel in hair ever again!! Great idea about the foam though.

MM, I may join you in Milan when you come down (if you want me! You may prefer to spend the time with Franca ).

On the DC discussion, I will happily slag him off because of his lightweight and dangerous cabinet/policies etc, but I will not accept the argument he is not suitable for office because his dad was rich. Where do you stop - no black PMs because they would not be able to understand the difficulties faced by working class white families? Far too close to BNP type of thinking for me to be comfortable.

TheMysticMasseuse · 22/11/2009 13:11

ok Minerva, it's a deal- milan meetup sometime in 2010!

mind you, i have never managed to do a London meetup so not very reliable

biker books are more ankle length/slouchy... in fact...here they are... what think we?

Rosa · 22/11/2009 13:44

Boots like....
Meet up sounds like fun only 3 hrs o na train !!
Minirsoa threw up last night, nasty cough then had temp again this morning .Poor love - she has picked a bit at food and hopefully she will have a good rest - she has coughed a few times so far.
Wanted to take Dd out so could give her a run before possibly sending her back to school domani as she is starting to get bored ...OH well speriamo bene.....

Francasaysrelax · 22/11/2009 18:43

Oh yes, lets have a big meet up in Milan!!! .

Rosa, poor minirosa. I hope she gets better very soon very soon.

I love the boots.

Francasaysrelax · 23/11/2009 13:24

OP posts:
AntonioGramsci · 23/11/2009 13:24

Lucky you, reading short books. Will bring you Guerra then....I want to read Anna too, but have 200 hundred pages of Guerra left...

I went on the C Brooker webchat and told him he is cute..[fainting emoticon], and asked the other mnetters to stop asking if DC is a premature ejaculator, being lunch time and all that.

When shall we meet then?

DD singing Heidi in bed, off too now..

AntonioGramsci · 23/11/2009 13:26

Oh, Franca, were you there too? Oh, I think the guy is VERY hot, folashfvakjshfvfd, xvnblkcxnvlkxznvlakshgladkshgkjhfsfhlkhfskjbdnakhvflksjflkasjf
