Hi, hope you find this thread. The old one was too big.
Varifocals eh? Not sure I'd fancy that.
DP took me out to lunch today, to The Ivy. Twas really nice, good food and service, great decor, lovely stained glass windows. I only saw one sleb - Trisha Goddard with (I presume) her daughter.
I had seared scallops with bacon, followed by the rib-eye with chips and creamed spinach (with too much nutmeg in it).
It's been a funny old week. The house is a tip because I've hardly been in it (except to catch up on sleep). We're off on holiday on Saturday morning and I've organised nothing. Gulp!

OP posts:

We have a port for a pen drive on the front.
Do you have one?

oggsfrog · 03/01/2010 17:10

Oh look! It's brandy cofee o'clock

Berrie · 03/01/2010 17:28

Not for me.

Berrie · 03/01/2010 19:35

Hang on...that was ten past five!!!

oggsfrog · 03/01/2010 21:59

It's been a hard day

MattBellamysMuse · 03/01/2010 22:05

We have one on the back but apparently it doesn't do anything.
Oh well.
Hope tomorrow's a better day for you Oggs.

Berrie · 04/01/2010 07:34

What makes you think it does not do anything? Why would it be there?

Berrie · 04/01/2010 08:55

Boooo, just typed a long message about my plans for the day and lost it.

Frosty walk this morning
Do something about heap of clothes in bedroom
Post next dvd to Oggs (dh has put QI on again by mistake)
Get everything ready for ds back at school tomorrow - project about heroes, pe kit, uniform, sandwiches, bath him (has become rather bath shy!)
Think about going back to work on Wednesday (ow! ow!
Wonder whether pre school in fact opens next week or will have problems going back to work anyway!
DH taking us out for £4 pizza (diet starts tomorrow then!)

MattBellamysMuse · 04/01/2010 10:36

I had a quick google and it appears that it's disabled. Not sure why they put it there in that case.
You've just reminded me, I have to wash PE kit.

MattBellamysMuse · 04/01/2010 10:37

It's super cold and frosty here today but bright and sunny. Taking the boys swimming later. Back to school tomorrow.

oggsfrog · 04/01/2010 10:39

Thank you to Mr Berrie. Hope you have a nice day!

No sign of a thaw.
Bloody cold.
Running out of hay, straw and chicken food. Will be killing all but one of the cockerels to conserve food.
Dh has stated whistling the theme to the A Team

oggsfrog · 04/01/2010 10:40

Mmmmmm. Swimming. In warm water.

My hair looks like Medusa's and I could fry chips in it.

Berrie · 04/01/2010 11:28

Nevermind Oggs, few more weeks and your hair will be restored to its natural balance.

So much for frosty walk, dd was sobbing with cold by the time we got back...bad Mummy! I enjoyed it though. Am going to organise some ice sculptures in a bit.

MattBellamysMuse · 04/01/2010 11:38

I'd take my two for a wintry walk but DS2 always ends up complaining and crying about being cold/having tired legs/frozen hands etc.

Berrie · 04/01/2010 20:42

I am trying very very hard not to have high hopes of snow tomorrow.

(sorry Oggs)

oggsfrog · 04/01/2010 21:04

I'd send you some of ours if I could get to the Post Office. We have more than enough to go around

Dd's head teacher phoned earlier. There is no school tomorrow anyway and she will try and email me some stuff for dd on Weds.

Berrie · 05/01/2010 08:00

Sorry Oggs. Didn't mean to sound like I was wishing snow on you!
There bloody isn't any. I'm not going to listen to the news as there will be snow all around. We are in a broad valley which I think has something to do with it. They seem to get it all around and we see cars loaded up with it. I know that if we did get it a lot we'd be fed up with it too and I am grateful for last year but that was the first proper time in around 15 YEARS! We have bloody ice though which means it will be dangerous to walk up the hill to school. Better get m act together defrosting the car. DH had to climb in through the boot yesterday as he couldn't get the doors open!

MattBellamysMuse · 05/01/2010 09:12

It's very frosty here but no snow yet either. London's always the last to get the snow.

Berrie · 05/01/2010 11:13

Few.poultry.flakes...

Berrie · 05/01/2010 11:17

...which have stopped.

crystalfishes · 05/01/2010 11:50

Well hello ladies!!!!! And a Happy New Year to you one and all xx

crystalfishes · 05/01/2010 11:51

It's vvvvveryyy snowy here in Blackpool

Berrie · 05/01/2010 12:02

Poultry! Remebered that for some reason on my return from the Co-Op!

Berrie · 05/01/2010 12:03

Binkle?!?!

Berrie · 05/01/2010 12:04
