Hi, hope you find this thread. The old one was too big.
Varifocals eh? Not sure I'd fancy that.
DP took me out to lunch today, to The Ivy. Twas really nice, good food and service, great decor, lovely stained glass windows. I only saw one sleb - Trisha Goddard with (I presume) her daughter.
I had seared scallops with bacon, followed by the rib-eye with chips and creamed spinach (with too much nutmeg in it).
It's been a funny old week. The house is a tip because I've hardly been in it (except to catch up on sleep). We're off on holiday on Saturday morning and I've organised nothing. Gulp!

Mooooaaaaaan!

Berrie · 26/10/2009 16:50

Slice of kids bacon omlette to keep me going...

Berrie · 26/10/2009 19:09

Arses, stood next to a mother and daughter in the playground with effing swine flu. The son is in Ds's class. That'll shift a few pounds.
Will they be calling asthmatics for the vaccine do you know?

Berrie · 26/10/2009 19:09

I know the front line health workers were last week and the pregnant women this week.

oggsfrog · 26/10/2009 20:21

I had heard that people with asthma would be offered it. I don't think I'll take them up on it though.

4 lamb chops for tea. Just having brandy coffee .

Berrie · 26/10/2009 20:56

Chicken wrapped in bacon, carrots, cabbage, broccoli. It would be easier if we could have that at lunchtime.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 07:07

Morning. I told myself I wouldn't weigh myself much. That way obsession lies. Anyway I weighed myself last night and this morning! Not that I have anything to report though dh had lost 2lb but then he did run last night.

LyraSilvertongue · 27/10/2009 08:59

Good morning. Still having a good time. Yesterday we went to the beach and today we're off to explore the medieval city of Carcassonne.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 09:22

Lucky you, hope you have a great time. Carcossone looks spectacular though we didn't go in.

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 10:54

Have a nice day Lyra! Carcassonne looks spectacular. I'm not at all . Oh no. Nope

Final remains of curry for breakfast.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 12:04

Muesli
carrot
Mackrel salad
apple

It's not as bad today. No boozing was easy last night when all I could think about was wanting food.

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 12:31

Sounds good.

Don't think I'll be having any lunch - I'll just have a coffee.
I have to leave at 2pm be at the school by 2:30 for a meeting.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 13:30

Satsuma.
If you can go without lunch I am doomed to failure. No wonder you have lost so much.
How is the puppy?

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 13:52

Nuts.

Puppy ace. Bouncy, bitey, lovable and a sure fire cure for broodiness

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 13:53

The lb's I've lost were fluid. If I ate potatoes/bread tonight they'd be back on by tomorrow!

Berrie · 27/10/2009 13:57

Was dog broody on holiday, there were loads on the beach. At one point a greyhound convention came by. They were really quite beautiful. Did you see the Portugese water dog on the front of the Weekend section of the Times the other day? Dh says that if I can find a breed that doesn't poo we can have one. I reckon it wouldn't have to want a long walk in the cold and dark at night either if her were to be honest.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 13:59

Three dried apricots...they just slipped in....

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 16:24

Cup of coffee.

Saw the dog. He'd recently had a haircut hadn't he and was wearing a seat belt?

Hmmm. A dog that doesn't poo...
Pip is actually very good now and cries to go out. She has started going right through the night. Clocks going back haven't helped, as now she cries at 6:30am instead of 7:30.

Berrie · 27/10/2009 17:09

That's the one! It looked quite big in the picture but I think they are fairly little.

Chicken, lentil...and chickpea stew with cabbage. Perhaps a more generous portion than was wise. ..

oggsfrog · 27/10/2009 18:56

Bacon

Mmm... stew sounds tasty.

They don't moult and need regular trimming.

Berrie · 28/10/2009 07:05

You really are no carbing.
Porridge with raisins.

They poo so it's no good

oggsfrog · 28/10/2009 07:30

Coffee

And need walking.

Need to re-think as have fallen into trap of consuming far too much fat which although fine for losing weight does not get me into good habits for regular eating.

Def need to avoid processed and white carbs (potatoes, rice, bread, parsnips etc) but need to allow stuff like oats for breakfast.

Am thinking of porridge or boiled agg and grapefruit for breakfast.
Soup for lunch (either tin of tomatoes with onion, bacon, celery, ham stock and chilli or leek, celery, bacon and lentils with ham stock)
Then normal evening meal but without the carbs.
No alcohol until Christmas (eek)
Lots of water.

Trouble is when I eat oats my appetite returns. The joy of this way of eating is that I'm not hungry. My stomach never rumbles.

Hmm.

oggsfrog · 28/10/2009 07:41

What are you up to today?

How was Carcassonne Lyra?

oggsfrog · 28/10/2009 10:41

2 boiled eggs

Chairman's report and various other paperwork to do for tonights AGMs. Bah!

Berrie · 28/10/2009 11:26

I've been and done a lesson. I nearly didn't as my back is really painful today. I found my first trigger point, returning from a lesson! I was suddenly looking forward to a cup of coffee and something sweet. Was most grumpy for a moment, thought about giving up, thought about giving up not drinking and then came to my senses.
Why are you giving up all alcohol? I am wondering how I'll be able to stop noshing if I have a drink at the weekend. Don't know what to have for lunch...
