I have a pole in my lounge for exercise, it takes up less room than my airwalker or a bike.

Apparently only whore, sluts and dirty women pole dance.

OK I am not very good yet and I find it all difficult but I want to do it and the himself has no such thoughts other than where he was fitting it.Yes I would like to be able to get off the ground but it will (hopefully) happen eventually.

ds1 loves being on the pole. He climbs, inverts, spins, but nothing he does looks inappropriate or suggestive. I only do suggestive for dh late at night.

And the pole is in the front room because I wasnt blessed with a huge house, mores the pity. I'd like it in the bedroom, but we have a slooped roof (no loft) so nothing to fix it to.

Funnily I was told by a fitness freak friend that pole dancing and belly dancing were both excellent forms of exercise for women.

Gyms have pole dancing lessons these days. The belly dancing class I went to was full of middle aged women, it was like a Victoria Wood sitcom.

Dittany, perhaps you'd like to swear hand on heart that you have the ab strength to pull your feet over your head and invert yourself. Of course its exercise. you cant do it unfit. Some people get a buzz from playing tennis. I like my pole and my running/boxing/combat.

Goodness better get the gyms closed down by the police then....
