I'm on the second one now Oggs.

LyraSilvertongue · 05/09/2009 11:08

What did you think of the first one Berrie? It may seem a bit tame compared to True Blood with all its sexual shenanigans.

oggsfrog · 05/09/2009 11:23

Gah! I'm forever playing catch up. I only bought the first one.

OP posts:
Berrie · 05/09/2009 14:43

It certainly is a lot tamer! It doesn't have the sexual tension of Twilight either. I enjoyed it though.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/09/2009 11:05

I'm on to series 2 now. Poor Lafayette . And I'm not liking this new-look Jason at all.
We spent yesterday at a double header Rugby match at Twickenham stadium with the boys and a big group of DP's friends. Was pretty good. So much more fun than football.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/09/2009 12:43

Oggs, I've just put five albums of photos on Facebook if you fancy a peek.
Berrie, you really ought to join, even if you just have me, Oggs and Zeb as friends. It's so much easier to share photos etc.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/09/2009 18:06

And today we went to Kingston Carnival, which was great fun, especially the Bollywood dancing.
Despite my plans for a quiet last-weekend-of-the-holidays its been pretty busy.

Berrie · 06/09/2009 19:19

You are always busy Lyra!

I can't be doing with the requests to be a friend...

Book two better than book one! Nearly finished it.

oggsfrog · 06/09/2009 19:36

Gah! I've not even had time to start book 1 yet...

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 06/09/2009 20:12

Great photos Lyra.

Think my eyes are starting to go...went distinctly fuzzy after reading all afternoon. Also can't read so close up any more.

Very good but better not start book 3 just yet...got work to do tomorrow!

oggsfrog · 06/09/2009 22:27

I had an eye test on Friday. I need bifocals or varifocals. Eek!

LyraSilvertongue · 06/09/2009 22:30

Are you officially an old lady now Oggs? Will you wear them round your neck on a gold chain?

LyraSilvertongue · 06/09/2009 22:31

Oops, that's reading glasses, isn't it

oggsfrog · 07/09/2009 07:47

cuffs the cheeky young whippersnapper 'round the ear

OP posts:
Berrie · 07/09/2009 10:40

That's my lesson done for today.
Dd at playschool all day.

Shall I...
Do my paperwork
Read book 3 in bed!
Go to my Dad's and get him to write my letter comlaining about our holiday.
Tidy up

Berrie · 07/09/2009 11:41

Ok paperwork tick (but not planning)
Off to Dad's in a mo tick

Half an hour left...tidying up? ...Nah!

LyraSilvertongue · 07/09/2009 11:46

I would have gone for the book in bed option.
I'm aching this morning - I spent an hour yesterday extracting the old dead battery from my car (Chrysler conveniently bury it under the air filter so that had to come out too) and the nuts were all rusted tight. I've wrenched something in my neck trying to undo them. Owwwwww. Then found the new battery I ordered online was much too big and I'm going to have to send it back and get them to send a smaller one. Meanwhile I can't use the car
Still, the boys are back at school today. Yipeee!!! (But I'm working today - boo)

Berrie · 07/09/2009 14:34

Oh bum about the car.

I reckon we were tweeting on here before it was invented!

LyraSilvertongue · 07/09/2009 14:53

Definitely. Do you think we should sue them for nicking our idea? Do you go on Twitter? I never have.

Berrie · 07/09/2009 18:35

No I can pour out my mind numbingly boring day to day stuff right here!

LyraSilvertongue · 07/09/2009 23:47

I don't find it mind-numbing at all. And you put up with my daily ramblings.
Oggs, are you there? Are you catching up on Mortal Instruments/True Blood?

Berrie · 08/09/2009 07:47

Yeah she'll be all caught up by now I bet.

oggsfrog · 08/09/2009 15:27

Pfft. Bloody cheek.

I'll have you know I collapsed into a coma caused by an excess of mind numbingly boring drivel....

The electric has been off all day and the transmitter for the mobile is down. I've spent all day clearing out the kitchen shelves and cleaning the oven .

Still haven't started City of Bones. I got sidetracked with a trio of Torchwood books from the library .

OP posts:
Berrie · 08/09/2009 15:55

Cleaning the oven? I have never cleaned my current oven.
I may have cleaned out the cupboards a few times. It becomes compulsary once things start falling ot on your head...(Berrie considers how long this has been happening recently and decides that compulsary was the wrong word.)

Today I went to my brother's thereby not having to tidy any of the disgusting mess about the place.

I need some party ideas for ds. I don't want parents at the house. I don't want to go to a playbarn, I cant afford to pay an entertainer...could maybe hire a church hall but what then? Party games I suppose. Don't fancy that much...groan.
