Watched four more episodes of True Blood last night. DP watched two with me (till he fell asleep) and he really liked it.
I'm just about to drop the boys off at my mum's so I can spend the entire day in a hairdresser's chair having my hair braided. Oh joy.

That does not sound fun...
I don't like going to the hairdressers much.

I'm trying to print out stuff so I can do my paperwork for tomorrow but nothing is happening...

I now have almost bum-length hair, dark brown with goldish highlights. It'll take some getting used to.

Think we've watched the first 3 episodes but have obviously not retained much memory of it (other than of her brothers abs )

The Host. Hmm. Really enjoyed it on the whole but think it petered out at the end as if she couldn't think where to go with it. Predictable ending.
Bit of a let down after the cracking pacing of the rest of the book.

I was annoyed at the ending. Typical. I hadn't noticed the last bit and was congratulating S. Meyer on her brave ending.

Right, kids a bobo, I'm opening the wine...notice I'm not asking this time. It's a riesling which is a dangerous choice as it might not be dry enough but when it's good it's good. I'll let you know.
I went on a 3 1/2 mile bike ride this evening. It only took 20 mins which I was disappointed about as it is only the minimum daily exercise isn't it? I'll have to go further next time. It's the bloody hills that piss me off though.

The Host - I was disappointed that the ending was so neat and happily-ever-after, but on the other hand was glad that poor Wanderer didn't die. Putting her in the body of a tiny teenage blonde was a bit though. SM does like her happy endings, doesn't she.
Today I have been for a lunchtime picnic with some mums/children from DS2's class. One of them brought a bottle of pink fizz for a birthday treat, which was lovely.
Then we got the train into town to meet DP and all went for sushi followed by a walk along the south bank. DSs have just gone to bed.
Now I shall have a glass of wine and watch episode 12 of TB.

I made the mistake of wearing my Kickers and now my feet hurt like hell. I had to walk home from the station in just my socks.

Berrie, I'm rather partial to a Riesling too. Drinking Sauvy tonight (as usual).
Thanks for the tulips and cake. I didn't have a real cake so bought myself some chocolate fingers instead.
