Bad news - my MacBook has died. My whole LIFE was on that laptop. All our family photos. 1,500 songs. Everything. Bah.
Fortunately, I have the photos and music on my iPod. I can transfer the music to my work laptop but not sure about the photos. Why oh why didn't I back everything up to disk? Let that be a warning to y'all ladies.
I have an appointment at the Apple Store genius bar on Tuesday so maybe they'll be able to save it. Otherwise it will be £900 for a new one

We have two external hard drives for our laptop to back them up.
Hope it can be saved.

DP's gone to hospital today for his heart thing. Prob be in overnight. He's still determined that we're going camping tomorrow

It's raining here. Not camping weather.

It was hot and sunny here this morning so I told the boys I'd take them to the open air pool, invited my brother, made a picnic. Now it's cloudy and looks like it's going to rain and I'm still waiting for my brother to turn up. He's always late for everything.

The place looks pretty good for saying there were 5 kids here until just recently. Now, do I get my two to clear up or just do it myself?

Prob quicker to do it yourself.

DP's op got cancelled at the last minute after wasting the whole day in the hosp. Bloody NHS.

The good news is that my bathroom is (nearly) finished. Finally. And it looks amazing. Like something out of an interior design magazine. And all for just over £2,000. I'll post pics on my profile when I work out how to upload pics to this crappy Dell laptop. My neighbour came in to see it and said wow. I just have to fit a light fitting and paint the door, then it's done (at last).

28th. No guarantee it won't get cancelled again though.
Going camping tomorrow. Oh joy. It's not my favourite thing - I prefer a luxury hotel - but the boys will enjoy it.

S'me. I'm back.

Had various probs;
Intestacy problems (which are still ongoing)
Computer probs
Pain in the bum dh probs (not literally... not pains in his bum.... ... he was being a pain in the bum). All sorted and jolly again.
Computer probs again (will hopefully be rectified when I can work out how to fit the new hard drive I've got)
... and a general self-imposed abstention from the computer for a while (I was spending rather too much time on here what with one thing and another).

But here I am. Back again.

Sorry about dh Lyra. Hope that it is all rescheduled soon and that in the meantime you have a great time camping.
Where are you off to? (haven't caught up with all I've missed yet)

Berrie, glad your back is on the mend. Maybe the injection wasn't in quite the right spot this time. Will you have another one next time it gets bad or will they give you another one regardless so that it will be working in case back goes again?

Good to 'see' you Oggs. I'm off to bed now but catch up tomorrow hopefully. We're only away a couple of nights. Somewhere between here and the south coast (DP knows where he's going).

Been out getting a car as our old ones MOT runs out at weekend and there is no way it will pass. It's taken all day. Over two hours each way.
Just got food sorted and dd in bed.
Next I have to try to tax car online and cook chicken for dd's packed lunch tomorrow.

Are you in a tent by now Lyra?

Where is dd going?

She was going out for the day with friends but isn't now.
I've packed us each a lunch and I'm off for a mystery drive with her now. We'll stop by the coast for lunch I think.
