No. They've talked about trying a series of the injections. I checked if I could get in touch if it didn't work and was told I'd have to wait for my follow up in 6-8 weeks. I had to wait 4 weeks after the appointment last time so nothing for 3 months I reckon.

Anything nice planned for next week?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2009 16:37

Not really. Keeping it simple and chilled out. DP finishes work for 3 weeks on Thursday and chilling out isn't in his vocabulary, so we've got to make the most of the peace while we can

Berrie · 03/08/2009 08:34

Will you do anything in the three weeks he's off?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/08/2009 10:37

Three days camping, a week on a boat on the Norfolk Broads, days out, DIY. It'll be all go and no rest.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/08/2009 16:44

DP's got to have a heart op on Monday. Seems they now think he's an urgent case, which is worying. It was scheduled for October.

Berrie · 03/08/2009 16:52

Oh dear what will it involve?
How are things in general?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/08/2009 17:12

Calming down a bit in general, but still not brilliant IYSWIM.
He'll have to have an angiogram and then anangioplasty if they think he needs it. All done by inserting cameras and stuff through his veins, so no open heart surgery.

Berrie · 03/08/2009 19:03

General anaesthetic?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/08/2009 19:20

Yes, for the angioplasty. We're supposed to be going camping next week.

Berrie · 04/08/2009 07:22

I remember dh's Mum having it 20 years ago now. I'm sure they've had lots of practice by now!
Sorry about the camping. (It would probably have rained)

DP's decided to start his holiday early so we're supposed to be going camping on Thursday instead, if we can find a site at such short notice.
DS1's got his first sleepover tomorrow night (the builder's son) which he's beyond excited about . So we're going to my mum's later to pick up a spare mattress and car booster seat. I plan to take the three boys to crazy golf if the weather's dry.
I think I might let DP take the boys camping and I'll stay here and get on with some painting or wallpapering or something.
What's on your agenda for today? And where are Oggs and Zeb? This thread is slowly dying

Berrie · 04/08/2009 17:10

So what was that all about Lyra?

Zeb has been gone ages! I'm sure Oggs will be back though.

I hope that it doesn't rain on the boys and Dp!

LyraSilvertongue · 04/08/2009 23:26

Poster said something rude, I said something rude back. Messages deleted

Berrie · 05/08/2009 18:12

Who decided to delete them?

Berrie · 06/08/2009 09:20

...and then there was one...

lyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2009 11:35

I asked MN to delete mine and they deleted the other one too.
I think Zeb's got swine flu. She posted on Facebook.
My mum's also got it. Me and the boys were at her house on Tuesday so I hope we haven't caught it...
DP and the boys are gone (to Brighton instead of camping) so I'm here putting off getting on with the bathroom wallpapering.

Berrie · 06/08/2009 16:31

Oh dear how do you know it's swine flu...in each case?

lyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2009 18:47

Zeb says she has swine flu. Mother was told by GP and is now taking Tamiflu.

Berrie · 06/08/2009 19:17

Oh bum...are you scared?
Have you stocked up on calpol etc?
I hate to be ill. Hope when we get it we don't all have it at once.

Wht isn't Zeb talking to us?

Berrie · 06/08/2009 19:18

Our tumbledrier died today...bugger!

lyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2009 19:24

I don't know. I know she's online because she's on Facebook.
Looks like Oggs has deserted us too. Maybe we need a new mutual obsession to get things moving

lyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2009 19:25

How's your back now? Any improvement?

Berrie · 06/08/2009 20:04

Feeling quite good actually. Took the children swimming and out today. Feeling a bit stiff and it always hurts but much much better.

Would you believe it? I bought my sister Twilight and she's only leant it to my mother. Tut!

MFL'sF is in Blackpool with Joseph. Wonder if Binkle is going. Thought about texting.
