The money spent will be b'day money!

oggsfrog · 29/07/2009 11:41

Just adding these links as they are useful and I will lose them otherwise...

Oh it's in Nottingham, I could go!....or rather I could go if I could walk any distance.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/07/2009 17:49

Feeling any better today? And have you weaned yourself off those narcotics? I'm liking the sound of them, I have to say. Do they make you feel all floaty?

Berrie · 29/07/2009 18:27

I had to have some this morning but no more thereafter.

Yes floaty and nice but could also be unpleasant. I remember one time being quite out of it and having strange and disturbing 'mini dreams.'

DH says I said I told him I could make his head float off and kiss me if I wanted Don't remeber that but do remember the ability to conjure up things I wanted to see.

I couldn't imagine me using my stash in a recreational way.

oggsfrog · 29/07/2009 20:42

That's why I posted it. I was looking to see if there was a shop anywhere near you so that you could have a mooch around and buy bits and pieces without having to buy a load.
The 3-in-1 pliers look like a good thing. You don't have to spend loads before you see if you actually enjoy doing it.

You should be on your feet by your birthday shouldn't you? Hopefully this injection on Thur will do the trick. How frequently do they need doing?

OP posts:
Berrie · 29/07/2009 21:26

Don't know.
I suppose it depends on whether or how much it works.

LyraSilvertongue · 30/07/2009 10:24

Good luck with the jab today Berrie.
Having spent all of yesterday doing load after load of washing (and it's still not all done) and tidying and hoovering the bedrooms, I'm taking the day off from chores and taking the boys swimming. It's nice and sunny here.

LyraSilvertongue · 30/07/2009 15:37

Well, I spoke too soon. Shortly after posting the rain started bucketing down. Me and the boys spent the morning dancing wildly around the living to very loud rock music then went for a swim. Now they're in the media room at the gym, playing on the PS3, while I MN on the laptop. Having a nice time

oggsfrog · 30/07/2009 21:37

Sounds like you had a fun day Lyra.

Berrie, hope the injection has provided some relief and wasn't too much of an ordeal.

Was told last night that an Uncle has died. Not close but am still busy with family matters so may not be here very much in next week or so.

Take care.

Berrie · 30/07/2009 22:01

Oh sorry about that Oggs. Hope everything goes ok.

It wasn't exactly painful but rather unpleasant and the operating theatreness of it all was rather scary. I'm told it will hurt tomorrow and that if it is going to work I should feel some relief by Saturday.

Glad you had a good day Lyra.

LyraSilvertongue · 31/07/2009 09:47

Oggs.
Any change Berrie?

Berrie · 31/07/2009 16:49

Mmm...hard to know. I've been on bed downstairs reading The Host all day. Have you tried it? It certainly seems less painful but I've not put it under any strain today.

LyraSilvertongue · 31/07/2009 17:03

Haven't read The Host. Is it any good? Another friend said it's rubbish. They have it in Sainsbury's.

Berrie · 31/07/2009 17:29

Well... I wouldn't call it rubbish.
It was a page turner I only started it yesterday.
It was slow to start.
I couldn't read it again.
I really enjoyed it.
I say read it!

LyraSilvertongue · 31/07/2009 18:13

OK, boss.
Having very interesting chat with best friend in Australia via Facebook.

LyraSilvertongue · 31/07/2009 19:34

Yikes! We've been chatting for 3.5 hours. Poor boys have been neglected.
Right, off to the shop for pink fizz and fags...

Night x

LyraSilvertongue · 31/07/2009 22:55

We've got a billion channels that I never watch because I'm too busy reading. I did watch the Kevin Bishop show on Ch4 tonight though - the man is hilarious (the guy that does Star Stories).

Berrie · 01/08/2009 19:30

Ahhhhhh..funny old day.

Got up back not feeling so great. Took some painkillers which once they'd jiggled together in my stomach a bit made me retch. Then I got terrible shivers (so now I know which pills do it) and felt terribly sleepy and slept until lunchtime.
After lunch I decided to risk a trip to the supermarket. Hobbled for a few minutes until I could walk no more. DH got me an electic scooter but it was still incredibly painful. Got home and slept again for a couple of hours and that was my day.

How are y'all?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/08/2009 21:02

Not good Berrie, not good.
Has the jab made no difference?
Why did you get that post withdrawn? I can't remember what it said.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/08/2009 21:03

I meant not good about your back.
We had a nice day. Went out for lunch then took the boys bowling and did a bit of shopping. I'm about to get into bed early and read Eclipse.

Berrie · 01/08/2009 22:20

It was about watching True Blood.

Glad that you had a nice day.
Hope Oggs is ok.

Nah don't think it's done a thing.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2009 09:44

That's a shame. Do they have another plan of action if this fails?
