LyraSilvertongue · 15/07/2009 18:55

Oh and I need to make a playlist for the iPod and get changed/do hair. Why oh why do I leave everything to the last minute?

Playing catch up with the thread...

Lyra - Hope things are better. If you ever need to chat or vent you have my email address. Please don't hesitate to get in touch. I might be able to offer some support/comfort/advice. Dh and I have a lot of history under our belts. Figuratively as well as literally. Is that the right term??
Hope DP's heart probs aren't serious.
I've not read Midnight Sun. I need to have a supply of Edward fest in store. Sort of in case of an emergency.
Sympathies on your big butt, skinny seat problem
Hope your end of term bash went?/is going okay

Zeb - Hope your roomy is still keeping you well fed and watered.
I haven't yet seen the Torchwood episodes so NO SPOILERS please . I have yet to work out how my Mum managed to fit five hour-long episodes onto a four hour tape. It doesn't bode well...
So, so, sorry about ex-dh. It can't be easy for any of you. Fingers crossed for a happy/peaceful/pain-free outcome. Again, please don't hesitate to get in touch - you have my email address if you need it.
You are a sailor?!?! Can you arrange an intoduction to Capt Jack Harkness Sparrow???

Berrie - Tsk! No, no, no, no, no. You can't freeze mayonnaise. It will separate. You need to eat more omelettes .

How did it go Lyra?

Yes about the Sookie Stackhouse.

Spent aaaaallll night tending DD who is now being sick. I have a lot of bedding to wash today! When I said that last night, she said, 'I will help you Mummy!
'Sleep deprivation is torture! Poor DD...

Berrie · 16/07/2009 08:05

Oggs, did DD remember? Did you say anything to DH?

oggsfrog · 16/07/2009 09:06

Oh, poor dd Berrie . Poor you too.

Dd remembered. I phoned dh as usual at about 7pm (I had been expecting him to phone during day, but no). He sounded very quiet and tired but no mention of my b'day. I didn't say anything.

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/07/2009 09:40

Does DD know he forgot? Will you ever mention it? How upset are you about it? Did he know it was going to be your B'day while you were away?

oggsfrog · 16/07/2009 16:19

Yes
Yes. At some point. Will wait to see if he twigs.
Not particularly. He never remembers without a prompt.
Yes

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/07/2009 19:53

Ah sorry about that lovely.
Berrie sends Ogg's DH a sharp poke.

Berrie · 16/07/2009 19:54

Lyra must have a shocking hangover

oggsfrog · 16/07/2009 21:14

Either that or she's fallen headfirst into Twilight again

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/07/2009 21:52

Hey gang. I've just read the first chapter of midnight sun and now it's bedtime. Sooo tired.
I hope you're all ok?

LyraSilvertongue · 16/07/2009 23:54

You're both right. I've had the most hideous hangover. And I spent the evening finishing Twilight. Now I can get cracking with City of Glass
The party went great. Loads of people came and much wine was consumed. We have tons of food left over, enough to feed us all for weeks! (It was bring-a-dish - everyone brought a contribution to the food.

LyraSilvertongue · 16/07/2009 23:56

DSs, in their pyjamas, were the welcoming party. I think DS2 was a bit freaked out to have his teachers in his house.

Berrie · 17/07/2009 08:24

Glad you had a good time.
I cannot imagine socialising with my classes parents.

Another sicky night with dd. How come she throws up more at night than in the day?

Berrie · 17/07/2009 09:58

Yikes spoke too soon about dd.

oggsfrog · 17/07/2009 16:34

Poor dd. How long has she been sick? Is ds okay now?

Dd is the only child in her year at school so it would be a very boring get-together if we had one

Zeb you've not been around much, are you busy at work?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 17/07/2009 17:07

Poor DD, Berrie.
Another busy day today - morning spent selling uniform at school (it was induction day for the new children), lunchtime I dashed to Asda to buy party bag stuff, then back to school to help with year 2 swimming classes. I'm knackered.
Tomorrow is DS1's party and I've got 16 seven-year-olds coming. Oh joy. If it rains, we're buggered.

Berrie · 17/07/2009 17:42

Lordy Lyra, you don't live the quiet life do you?

Dd started being sick in the middle of the night before last. She was very hungry and I've just given her something to eat...not sure if dhe'll keep it down but DH is home so Ds and I are escaping to the CO-OP woo hoo! have been trapped indoors for 2 days now!

LyraSilvertongue · 17/07/2009 18:34

It must be awful being trapped indoors. what's the weather been like there? Its been raining a lot here. Hope it's dry tomorrow. If not, i'll have 16 seven-year-olds (plus DSs) in my house. Yikes!
