Have not been able to post so much today.
DH needed some support cos of his TOTALLY awful Mother. I have been ooo-ing and aaah-ing and was secretly wishing that I could join the party ...

But Hey - here I am .... Yurts aren't for ranting .....

Relax ... and ... think of sandy beaches

So where is everyone? Me and Ewan have had the place to ourselves all weekend. Very nice, but you don't get much time to yourself with all the llama's to milk, yak skin bedding to delice, clean, groom and blow-dry, the composting toilets to clean, and all the dp's to cater for...

I think I get at least a week off from all the cleaning. After 3 days of hard work I'm going to settle down with a joint and a bottle of dandilion wine AND I'm going to finish of the organic, fairly traded non-dairy chocolates...

We've all been off to the supermarket. Half of us were eating the grapes, and the other half were scowling at the first lot.

Some even formed a breakaway group to go on the rampage in Clarks...

So you've given in to the corrupting influences of capitalism, tut tut. Supermarkets are intrinsically (sp???) evil. No, no. Take yourelf off to the veggie patch and take in the health and vitality of our naturally grown produce. Ok, so the grapes are a little small and yellow, and the carrots have slug holes munched in them, but it's far healthier than the rubbish you get in supermarkets (and if you take a torch down to the herb garden you might find something of interest that you certainly WON'T find in the supermarkets....)

Is it something I said? I only returned to the yurt a few days ago and suddenly everyone's b***d off.

...Need some Yurt tender care........ too much work and stress!!

I had one too many grapes at the supermarket and I was arrested! just spent a night in the cells.

Excuse me, you Yurties! Your pet goat got into my garden yesterday and ate the heads off my prize dahlias. You might think you're living next to a large field but in fact that's the end of my enormous garden on the other side of that fence! And, the other day when I was walking the corgis I accidentally breathed in some ghastly-smelling smoke that was wafting out of that appalling hovel you live in. Felt very strange all day and, unusually for me, kept smiling a lot even at the common villagers when I saw them eating grapes in Waitrose. Just warning you that if it happens again with the goat I'll have the gamkeeper bring his shotgun down there.

I'm not sure I like your tone, young lady, but I keep both of them very busy round and about my estate, particularly the younger one as he has a great deal of energy. And while I've got your attention I wonder if you have planning permission for that ghastly dwelling and do you pay your council tax? I might have to make a quick call to old Fotherington-Gay in the Town Hall

CAM - the YURT is actually a SSSI (site of specific scientific interest) so we don't need planning permission or to pay council tax. Please feel free to contact him..... while you're speaking to him can you ask him to bring back the Bong he borrowed last week? And remind him about the special cookie recipe he promised us.
