Number 13?

I did get the pattern Oggs thanks! How I laughed!

Did you enjoy the film?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 27/04/2009 09:09

Breakfast: 1 slimfast shake. 1 huge mug of black coffee. Lunch. Errrr. Leftover sausage casserole or grilled fish with spinach and veg.

Berrie, today's Telegraph has a big section on diets etc. I'm not sure how helpful you might find it, but at least it's worth looking at. I'd be happy to lose 3 stone and moan about the last one, but that's still a huge amount.

I like Lyra's stalking suggestion. Maybe I could lose all the weight that way. Then I could leap out at the end in my new svelt body. Ta-daaaaa!

Oggs. I've lost track. Who are you in love with today? DT or RP?

Berrie · 27/04/2009 09:18

Thanks Zeb...I will go out and get it!

CChildren deposited...I need to clear up for my Mum's cleaner who comes because of my bad back. (does that sound a convincing excuse?) The place is extra bad as all weekend we had to negotiate which job would be worse for who..dh because of his hand or me bcause of my back. I might just sweep round, chuck it all in a basket and hide it somewhere!
This meaty cheesy diet is not going to be cheap is it?
Maybe I can face some eggs now...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 27/04/2009 09:38

Poached always works for me.

Re the meaty cheesy stuff. I'll send DH off to kill one of his prize cows for our freezers shall I? And he's always been going on about making cheese, so I'll have some of that too.

Berrie · 27/04/2009 09:43

Jolly good...send it over!

I had a mushroom omlette...at least that's what it was meant to be but it stuck!

What do I eat for snacks? Can I have snacks? I'm hungry now. Oh yes water...this isn't going to do my incontinence much good...better buy some tenna lady while I'm at it

oggsfrog · 27/04/2009 09:47

Why did you laugh Berrie? You'll manage it. Just take it one stitch at a time.

Yes. I enjoyed the film.
Very much.
Very, very much.

Stayed up 'til 1:30 to watch bits again and again .
Will discuss favourite bits and bits that were just wrong when I have more time.

Zeb, I should change my name to Mrs Fickle, Fickle Cottage, Upper Fickleton, Ficklesham.

There is room in my life for only one man. I might have lagged a bit behind you lot on the journey, but I have arrived. With a thud.

Berrie · 27/04/2009 10:06

Swoon..that's a nice one Oggs.

I laughed at DT toy standing next to his tardis. So did dh!

Berrie · 27/04/2009 10:16

What's all the water for anyway?

Berrie · 27/04/2009 10:49

I'm hungry...can I have soem corned beef pout of a tin?

Berrie · 27/04/2009 10:56

Found some pork from yesterday in the fridge. That's better! You see this is why I don't do diets. I'm obsessing already.

No -one here to play today?

Berrie · 27/04/2009 11:00

Right, I'm orf to Tesco then...

MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 11:27

Corned beef should be fine.
Why not keep some tiger prawns or some chopped salad in the fridge to munch on? You have have limitless amounts of the right foods.
Glad you enjoyed the film Oggs. I wanna know which bits you thought were wrong. Most of it, in my opinion but still an enjoyable watch. I did buy the soundtrack and the Director's Handbook, which has notes and pictures from the shoot.

Corned beef okay Berrie.

Things I didn't lke about the movie (briefly. will be able to analyse more on second viewing );

I did like RP. Oh yes. Oh yes indeedy. Very muchly.

He didn't sparkle (may just be the quality of the copy and our crap small tv)

It was too shallow and quick paced. I know it's difficult to condense a book but felt they didn't represent the relationship correctly...depth and strength of feelings... turmoil...angst.

Alice annoyed me at times, especially the leg raising thingy in the baseball game Eh? Why?
Rosalie isn't delicately beautiful enough. Emmett is wrong.
Jasper is okay I think. I think his motivation came from watching Edward Scissorhands (same expressions etc).

The baseball game wasn't as dramatic as it should have been. The crack of ball hitting wood and the collision of Edward and Emmett should have been like a huge clap of thunder.
It wasn't loud or earth shaking enough.

This could apply to the book too,
but if Bella notices how icy cold Edward's hand is just by brushing against it, then how does Carlisle get away with touching patients, and how did Charlie not notice when he shook Edward's hand?

There was more but I'll have to have another think...

There were loads of bits I loved, especially any bit where RP smiled

MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:30

I wondered about the Carlisle thing too.
Edward was wearing gloves when he shook Charlie's hand.

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 27/04/2009 12:35

Crikey. Mrs Fickle's off.
Good points all. But yes, he did not sparkle. It was very disappointing. And I'm sure in the book he takes his shirt off, rather than just unbuttons it. I want my money back. And to a large degree the whole love scenario seemed to come out of nowhere with no real build to it, or certainly not from Bella's side.

Right. I'm starving having just been to the gym . Leftover sausage casserole I guess.

oggsfrog · 27/04/2009 12:42

Feel that Jacob was a let down too but was expecting that anyway.
I seriously think they've messed up in the casting wih him... how. on. earth. is he gonna be a love rival for Edward??

Now what to do tonight? Read Breaking Dawn or re-watch Twilight?

Are the soundtrack and book any good Lyra. The book will be worth it just for the photos of my precioussssss .
What is on the extra disc in the dvd set? Much RP?

Weigh in this morning showed a loss of 6.5 lbs since last Mon.
2 boiled aggs for breakfast. Remains of cold pork for lunch.

oggsfrog · 27/04/2009 12:44

Gosh. Feeling a bit hyper. He excites me.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:47

Ham, cheese and tomato for lunch here.
The second disc contains deleted scenes, extended scenes, music videos, footage from the UK premier, trailers, interview with Stephenie Meyer, etc. Lots of stuff worth seeing.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:48

Oh, and Muse performing Supermassive Black Hole live at Wembley.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 27/04/2009 12:49

I think I'll have to get it from Amazon then, along with the book.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:51

I'm quite annoyed that they cocked the film up in so many ways. The next one's got a much bigger budget so they should do a better job of it. But Twilight's the most important in the series and therefore the most important to get right.
Apparently Summit have bought the rights to Breaking Dawn now too. How they're going to recreate Renesmee is beyond me.

OP posts:
MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:53

Take a look at this site Oggs.

OP posts:
MatthewBellamysMuse · 27/04/2009 12:54

Oh, and if you search Twilight deleted scenes on Youtube you can see the extra (much more passionate) kiss scene which was cut from the movie.

OP posts:
Berrie · 27/04/2009 13:09

Lyra...Oggs has not read breaking Dawn yet!

Berrie · 27/04/2009 13:12

Tesco shop cost much less than usual but that is because I HAVE NOT BOUGHT ANYTHING NICE TO EAT! Lots of flippin' meat and cheese though.
Oggs that is impressive...do you do some special activation phase the first week though. Not sure I can be arsed tbh.
