Number 13?

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 14:55

Yes. Definately lost. About 5lbs. I always drop the first half stone within a week, then the long slog starts.

I'm doing the WWAVE diet... What would a vampire eat? Blood is protein as is meat, cheese etc. No carbs.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 15:02

Berrie, am I right in thinking that the disc was for viewing on a computer only, what with it being a cd rather than a dvd?

I'm currently converting it to a dvd so I can watch it on the tv.

Gosh, I'm spoilt for choice. Breaking Dawn, Twilight film and also our next dvd rentals arrived too... and one of them is the episode of Who Do You Think You Are, with David Tennant .

Berrie · 26/04/2009 15:36

Ok I'm in. What do I need to buy tomottow?

What's for breakfast lunch and dinner?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/04/2009 15:53

I'd use DT in Who Do You Think You Are as the warm up - just fast forward to the bit with the skulls. Received opinion is that's what won him Hamlet. And he's very sweet in it, but I'm giving nothing else away. What are the other dvds?

OK. I'm broke until someone gives me some money, so I've got 5 days of slimfast for breakfast and tea and slim-a-soups for lunch with an oatcake, although I guess they're not really allowed? Plan B is to visit DH and swipe a stack of sausages, beef and possibly bacon if it's ready, from his freezer. Oh. And eggs. Perfect. That IS the Atkins Diet. Luckily, I have enough coffee to see me through.

Half a stone in a week eh? Right, I think if we work on about a stone a month, that gets me to my target weight by, errrrr, September. That sounds hugely optimistic. What about you guys?

And I've just been to the gym. Yep, that shiny twinkly thing above Zeb's head is her newly polished halo.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 16:48

Oh. FFS. I just posted a long post and the sodding computer timed out or something.

Zeb, the other dvd is Steptoe and Son Series 3 - Dd loves it.
I won't be able to hold off from watching Twilight.
I've just been to check it had converted correctly and can play on the tv.

It can.
It does.

Oh. My. God. He. is. gorgeous.

Just watched the 'how old are you' bit up to where he runs off with her to show her what he looks like in sunlight.
Managed to stop before they get to the meadow but bloody hell . I turned to jelly and my spine kept tingling.

Think I might be in a puddle on the floor after watching it all.
Jacob looks a bugger , but Edward more than makes up for it .

Thank you Berrie. Thank you.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 16:52

Oh.
Breakfast is boiled eggs.
Dinner whatever I grab;ham, cheese, salad if I can be arsed to prepare it.
Tea; I sometimes have what dd and dhare having minus potatoes and other carby veg. Curry with shredde fried cabbage instead of rice. Spag bol with cabbage instead of pasta.

I dn't feel hungry though, so often just have a couple of grilled lamb/pork chops or some steak on it's own.

Water. Drink loads. At least 2 litres.
Coffee or tea but no milk. I use double cream or soya milk (it curdles in coffee, so is best in tea, but I still drink it)

Berrie · 26/04/2009 16:59

Right...
Packed lunch for dh?

Are you not watching it properly Oggs Stop forward winding!

Zeb that's very ambitious but the most I ever do these days is one stone which I put back on with more.
I think I'd just like to take the chance to look halfway decent before I am to fookin' old to be able to pull it off.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 17:06

Tuna salad? Tuna mayonnaise with cucumber?
I used to make a salad in a pot - add tuna, olive oil, lemon juice and shake. Or vinaigrette made with oil, mustard, vinegar.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 17:07

Sorry . I had to check it worked though didn't I???

Berrie · 26/04/2009 17:15

Good idea.

Fruit?

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 17:15

Bugger. Just burnt the oil for the roast potatoes.
Too much googling .
They'll have to have mashed. Dd is not amused.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 17:19

No fruit. Too much sugar.
Deopends how hard core you are doing it. If you eat lots of fats ie cream, mayo, oil then you really should keep any carbs to a minimum or you won't go into ketosis and will just pile on lbs.

Have you got any books on low carbing? I'll have a look what I've got. I think I got rid though. I've done it so many times I don't need a book .

Berrie · 26/04/2009 19:07

Yes I bought the India Knight one. I read it all through and I didn't loose anything! Probably got Atkins somewhere, Dh did it once. TBH it doesn't appeal much.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/04/2009 19:16

Here's the list of food your allowed with Atkins, Berrie. It might help.

And there's no way I believe I'll reach my target weight by September. Or ever, actually. But I've got to give it a go before everything really does head south forever. . After all, those fit young men aren't going to start queuing up until I lose at least some of it.

Berrie · 26/04/2009 19:18

Thanks for that, it's really useful...I'd better make a shopping list.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/04/2009 19:25

I'm raiding DH's freezer tomorrow I think. And squeezing lots of eggs out of his chickens' bottoms. Luckily I don't need to milk the cows as milk's not on the list.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 19:35

Berrie, did you get the tardis pattern? Have you joined Rav?

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 19:37

How much do you want to lose Zeb?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/04/2009 19:44

A lot. Something like 4 stone. I've piled on masses recently and it's not a pretty sight. I think all the stress of work and then that stuff with DH earlier this year really didn't help. Still. New house. New job. New gym. So, time for a New Me.

oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 20:35

I'm the same; about 4 stone.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 26/04/2009 21:54

I'd be happy with a stone. Which I can lose in a month if I'm disciplined enough. Just meatballs in tomato sauce with the odd mushroom for me tonight. And gin and diet lemonade. It's not as nice as wine

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/04/2009 22:25

Yuck. Gin and lemonade? At least I had diet tonic in my gin. And only drank 1/2 glass.
Ooh, and all my men at the BAFTAs. DT, RP-J and Richard Armitage. Even Jason Isaacs whose also a bit of a hotty For these men I could lose 4 stone See. All grown men. All the right age. None of them young enough to be my children.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 26/04/2009 22:30

I know, I bought the gin and forgot the mixer. It was either lemonade or coke
Are those men all taken? If one's still single you could always start stalking him After losing the 4 stone, or course.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 26/04/2009 23:43

I think I'm in lurve

Berrie · 27/04/2009 08:03

Morning!
I weighed in...thought it might have been worse after a month of inactivity but just the same. (mind you I only weigh myself when I feel fat!)
I always force breakfast down at the best of times so can't face eggs or meat or cheese...I just wish I could exercise to help things along. I want to loose the giant muffin roll. Obviously my ideal weight would be 4 stone less but I know I'll never achieve this so I'd be happy wih a stone and it's mainly for my holidqy in 6 weeks time eeek! is that achievable? It is isn't it...
