Number 13?

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 02/06/2009 17:28

Yay! Head for Cornwall.

And thanks vvv much for the dvd. I can't wait.

Sorry, I've been working all day.... honestly, what do they think they're paying me for

Right, I now have to visit Asda or I'll have no foood or coffee. Or wine. I also have to find my contact lenses as tomorrow we're doing posh publicity photos for our press release. Yuck. I am the least photogenic person I know and will look really fat. How much extra do you think he'll charge to photoshop me?

Berrie · 02/06/2009 19:58

Tee hee, I've sent photos to my brother for him to photoshop. He has removed blemishes from my skin and put DH's missing front tooth in while he was waiting for his implant!

LyraSilvertongue · 02/06/2009 20:38

How much was the implant? i have a tooth missing and would like it replaced but I've heard it costs thousands.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/06/2009 20:39

A molar, not a front tooth.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/06/2009 20:40

Thanks for posting that DVD Oggs. Berrie, have you watched it yet?

Berrie · 02/06/2009 20:47

£2300. It was a front tooth.

We started watching it but DH was there and he was spoiling it for me so I am saving it!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 02/06/2009 21:08

Some pleasures are best enjoyed alone

oggsfrog · 02/06/2009 21:19

Zeb,I'm afraid you and Lyra will have to wait a little longer for your pleasures .
Dh arrived back home this evening with them still in his bag and he'd forgotten to buy milk.
Men ! tsk!

I've told him I'll drop dd off in the morning and I'll go on to post them.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 02/06/2009 21:23

Forgetting to post is forgiveable. Forgetting the milk is not. How can you have your bedtime cocoa?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/06/2009 21:49

Men never remember stuff like that.

oggsfrog · 03/06/2009 07:05

I had to give the cocoa a miss, so had a brandy coffee instead .

Hopefully much cooler today. I've got paperwork to catch up with and we've got a PTA meeting this evening.

Berrie · 03/06/2009 07:30

Morning.

I have one lesson today. I've started packing but today FIL has an investigation of some sort to see what is blocking his throat. I guess if they find someting sinister we won't go.

Any thoughts on your dress Zeb?

oggsfrog · 03/06/2009 09:32

Fingers crossed for you and FIL Berrie.
Is it Monday you are due to go? How long for?

oggsfrog · 03/06/2009 09:42

Oh, I forgot to say, Zeb and Lyra your dvds are now in the post, and we once again have milk

Berrie · 03/06/2009 10:39

Yes Monday and we are going for 2 weeks.

Right, lesson done! Now I'm off to water the allotment.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/06/2009 17:27

I'm still pondering the dress. Mainly because of the cost. There's also a shop down the road I need to check out, but I will keep you posted.....

Good news about the milk. You SHALL have cocoa tonight. Oh, and thanks for the dvd.

Boily hot here again today.

oggsfrog · 03/06/2009 17:32

Oh, boily hot here today again. It just wasn't boily hot at 7am (hardly suprising )

Gah! PTA and PTC meetings tonight.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/06/2009 17:51

Not so hot here today.
Did an hour i the gym this morning, spent £160 at Sainsbury's (we had run out of nearly everything), took boys to afternoon swimming lesson, made them clouds and trees (mash and broccoli) with chicken for dinner, ow having a sneaky rum and coke. Throat and cough still bad but slowly improving (bloody swine flu).
That's my day.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/06/2009 17:53

Oh, and I dropped one of my new contact lenses down the back of the radiator while I was attempting to stick the slippery bugger to my eyeball. It's gone forever. I am a speccy four-eyes again till I can get a replacement.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/06/2009 17:54

But I do have trendy new Red or Dead designer specs so it's not so bad.

Berrie · 03/06/2009 18:01

Cold here today...ok not exactly cold but not sunny, and yes a bit chilly for those still in bare arms and legs!

School is closed for voting tomorrow and there is no swimming lesson as I've cancelled them. The teacher changed and my children and their friends between them nearly drowned 3 times. Will have to take them myself now.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/06/2009 18:23

Excellent, I love teachers who try to drown their kids.

I'm speccyfoureyes too Lyra. I can't find my lens case anywhere.

Right. Off to drop of DS's belt, sunglasses and hat, then back for a yummy glass of wine now the noisy kids next door have been dragged off their trampoline for their tea. Ahhh, peace.

oggsfrog · 03/06/2009 21:49

Just got back from meetings and am sat down with a brandy coffee. Won't be long out of bed.
Tomorrow I've got to go to the village to put up a gazebo and spray it with waterproofer. Dh is dyking in the village and has decided to take our stallion along with him (as you do) so that he can tether him near the main road to get used to traffic.
Then I've got to go shopping.

What sort of lenses have you got Lyra?
About once a year I get a pack of 30 daily's. I don't wear them very often. In fact I think the last time was almost 2 years ago .

I desperately need an eye test. I think bifocals are a-calling.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/06/2009 22:47

Soft monthly disposables, but toric as I have astigmatism on top of appallingly bad eyesight (-8 in one eye, -7.75 in the other).
I can't drink brandy Oggs, after a particularly bad hangover when I was a teenager.
I've spent my evening designing a party invitation for DS2 and now I'm trying in vain to get my useless printer to print them out.
He's decided he wants a bouncy castle (reasonable, at £50-ish for hire) and a big trampoline (unreasonable at about £500, including enclosure, to buy). And he wants 35 children there. I've limited it to 20 as we're having it in the garden (please God, don't let it rain).

Berrie · 04/06/2009 08:15

Reading that made me wonder about putting a slug of brandy in the coffee I'm drinking now...it's 8.11 am!

FIL news is that they did a swallow test and as long as he drinks thick drinks, eats mashed food and does a double swallow it shouldn't go down the wrong way. The person who explained the test said that it wasn't her job to say why there was this problem so we need to wait for her to write a report for the Doctor. Meanwhile he sems to have a chest infection, probably due to aspirated food/liquid and he can't walk. Dh reckons we are going.
