OP posts:
oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 14:04

Ah, Dd is off today. I forget England is different.

Copying as I type... email me your address through FB and I'll be able to get it in the post tomorrow.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 14:10

Ok, thanks

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 14:20

New Moon trailer, and the best bits from the MTV Awards

Berrie · 01/06/2009 15:34

Nope not watched it yet. Too much going on with FIL going back into hospital.

I'm wondering whether to have the piano that me and my brothers learned on from my Dad and sticking it in the conservatory.

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 16:22

That would be nice Berrie.

I now have an image of you in a wafty dress, with a G&T, tinkling away in your conservatory of an evening in a Noel Coward stylee - either that or you and the family gathered round with pots of winkles and jellied eels for a 'Knees Up Mother Brown' sing-a-long

Berrie · 01/06/2009 19:17

Hee hee. Reckon I could only manage a few exam pieces now.

I should never have told dh that your dh didn;t think much to the film. He wants to watch Lost instead...

Do you have plans to visit your parents Oggs? You and dd are welcome to break your journey here on the way down.

How much was the piano Lyra?

Zeb...I am very jealous that you are having one of those dresses. You'd better not lose weight afterwards!

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 19:24

'Edward' looks a lot better in that trailer. They've ditched the silly bouffant hair.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 19:25

Piano was £41. I'm going to have to fess up to DP. He's not going to be pleased...

Berrie · 01/06/2009 19:37

Cant watch clips at mo. Its going too slow for some reason.
How are you going to get the piano to yours?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 19:58

No idea. I'm not even thinking about it till tomorrow. I bet the seller's wondering why I haven't contacted them yet.
What are you doing this evening? I'm going to sit in the garden and read my new book (Mara and Dann by Doris Lessing). No sign of DP yet...

Berrie · 01/06/2009 20:34

Off to bed soon.
We went at 8.30 last night and I had not even had a drink.
However this evening I have. Therefore...bed time. Lyra do you get sunburnt much? Hope that isn't too ignorant a question.

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 21:27

I'm not long out of bed. Had a couple of beers with the bbq (ended up having chicken wraps with bbq chicken skewers, and the left over burgers that I made on Sat, with salad)

Now I'm gagging for a cold glass of squash and will soon be in bed.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 22:10

Oggs, you lightweight
Berrie, not much, I have inbuilt protection, you know. I did get burnt once when I was in Majorca with a friend and we fell asleep on our sunbeds on the beach. Very stupid.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 22:23

Just told DP about the piano and luckily he's pleased. Phew. Now just have to work out how to get it here and where to put it.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 22:25

Let that be a lesson to ya - don't bid on eBay after a few glasses of wine and then forget about it.

oggsfrog · 02/06/2009 08:57

Lyra and Zeb, your dvds have been sent off with dh this morning. I will text him later today to make sure he has remembered to post them.

How's fil Berrie?
Yes, dd and I will be visiting my parents at some point this summer. I haven't looked into dates yet - I normally try to fit it in so we get to see my nephew, but he's 14 now, so I don't think he'll be wanting to have days out with us like he used to.

We'd love to come and see you. I'll have a look into it, but tbh I don't think it'll be possible. We fly down from Prestwick and I don't think they fly to your nearest airport. Which one is it again? I seem to remember looking into it for our London escapade.

oggsfrog · 02/06/2009 13:00

Where are you all?

Berrie · 02/06/2009 13:42

Hello. Here I am. Feeling I just wanted a simple, cheap, comfortable dress for my holiday. UnfortunatlyI am too fat the shops have not got anything suitable.
Ah well.

Nah you are right, it doesn't fly to our airport and it would cost a fortune to do two lots of flights.

Ho ho ho... not drunk!

Berrie · 02/06/2009 13:46

Actually they do fly....only £99

oggsfrog · 02/06/2009 13:59

Aw, Berrie .

I hate trying on stuff in shops (not that I do it more than once everycouple of years very often.
I tried on a couple of tops the other week and left feeling utterly disgusted with myself. Changing rooms/lights/the fit of most clothes don't exactly engender good feelings about yourself.

oggsfrog · 02/06/2009 14:10

Can't get on Messenger...

I've left it a bit late. A lot of the dates I wanted I can't get any flight at all.
Which airport is your nearest?
I can get a flight middle of July for me and dd for £10! It's just a bit early.
I'm also trying to factor in Matt's aunt's 80th birthday in Aug.

Berrie · 02/06/2009 14:34

Tee hee. The 'only £99' was not serious. You can go much further for much less!
EMA is our airport.
