LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2009 22:22

Nine more minutes to go...

LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2009 22:28

I'm free!! I'm ff to get hammered bring in the washing.

Berrie · 31/05/2009 08:29

Groan...why am I the only one who does pissed typing? Is it just another facet of my emotional incontinence on here?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/05/2009 12:34

Don't worry Berrie, it beats throwing plates and screaming at the neighbours!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/05/2009 13:35

What do you think of one of these fabulous dresses for the wedding I'm going to in 3 weeks? Phew what a busy morning on google, but I think I've solved my problem.

oggsfrog · 31/05/2009 13:51

Oh I do pissed typing as well; mine are usually very late night/early morning though so there's nobody here to chat with.

I've confused a friend on FB by posting late night ramblings but then deleting them in the morning before she sees them. I didn't realise that FB sent an email to her with the details. She thought she was going mad as she could never find them on FB .

I think it's also helped by the fact that I don't have a laptop and the pc is in a different room than the dvd player. I try to make a point of switching off the pc before I go and drink watch a film.

oggsfrog · 31/05/2009 13:56

Those dresses are gorgeous Zeb! Which one have you ordered?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/05/2009 14:41

I'm not sure which yet. I'm torn. I also need to dig out my tape measure then see what they've got in my 'voluptuous' size. I'll let you know, but if the sainted Nigella has bought them, they can't be bad. I'm thinking little cardi and peep-toe wedges (it's in a field!).

Ain't nothing wrong with pissed typing!

LyraSilvertongue · 31/05/2009 17:20

Lovely dresses Zeb.

Berrie · 31/05/2009 20:10

Tee hee Zeb. I already have that site bookmarked. I've not had an event to justify buying one yet!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/05/2009 22:16

Aren't they fabulous?! I think they'll do justice to my lumpy yet voluptuous figure. But the underskirt is another £45, although necessary. I'm going cardi not bolero I think. Opinions? I guess the belt too.

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 00:56

Aaaaargggggh!!! The midges have arrived. I'm being bitten to bits, even at this time of night.

I really hate this time of year.

It's far too hot.
There's no breeze.
We're hot and sweaty and have a fan going just to get the hot air moving, and in a vain attempt to keep the midges off us.
Every few seconds I'm brushing one of the biting bastards off me (and I'm inside a hermetically sealed sardine tin).
The bites feel like tiny red hot pokers, and itch sooooooo badly... for weeks after.

Those dresses really are lovely Zeb. I wish I could get away with wearing one (not that I could afford one, and anyway I always feel like a bloke in drag or Lily Savage when I wear anything overtly feminine).

I love the red one with white polka (I love that word) dots, and the white one with red polka dots.

See Berrie. I do pissed posts too .

They really are gorgeous

Berrie · 01/06/2009 07:21

I know Zeb. It was the extras that put it out of reach.

I think you could wear either a bolero or a cardi...Mmmm guess you'd have to try them. A cardi could grannify it a bit too much. I'm leaning towards the bolero.

Berrie · 01/06/2009 07:22

Oggs, you poor thing.
Come down here - bung the chickens in with mine and you can sleep in the conservatory!
Not sure what to do with the horse...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/06/2009 08:50

Maybe Oggs could ride down?
Much as I really adore Scotland, them darned midges are the reason I couldn't live there. How about jumping on a plane to Newquay? Ain't no beasties down here.

And thanks for your tips. I can't decide on black, red or blue. I kind of like the idea of contrasting dots on the dress and bolero. I'm thinking 'What would Kirstie do?' There's also a really gorgeous one in the sale section, but I'm not sure it's in my size.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 10:10

Oh dear, I've just bought a piano. I bid on it on eBay and then promptly forgot about it. Oops. Now I've got to pick it up

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 11:27

An upright? Do you/DP/Ds play? I'd love to have a piano again.

Another hot day. Dd wants to have lunch by the river.
What can I cook for tea on one of those disposable bbqs so I don't have to have the oven on?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 11:33

Yes, an upright. None of us plays.
What about marinated chicken for tea?

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 11:38

I'm presuming you have room for it?
Hmm, maybe chicken. We had that on Sat. Actually clouding up a little now.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 11:41

Steaks?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 11:43

Feeling like death warmed up today. Was awake all night coughing plus DS1 was in our bed kicking me every time I started to drop off. I managed half an hour of sleep before the alarm went off at 5.30 and I had to get up for work. I wanna go hoooooooommmmme!

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 13:15

Chicken wraps with hoisin sauce; the only thing I have to cook are the chicken breasts and they can be done in the microwave as they just get shredded anyway. Sorted. No cooking.

What time do you finish Lyra? I take it you are in the office today?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 13:23

3pm. Nice normal-length shift. I bet DP and the boys left the house like a bombsite this morning so I'll have to tackle that. Oh joy.

oggsfrog · 01/06/2009 13:52

Have they gone anywhere nice?

Zeb, I'll post the dvd tomorrow as I'm not going out today, and nearest post box is 10 miles away. There's only one collection a day so it probably won't be with you until Wed.

Berrie, did you watch it? If so, what did you think?

Lyra, do you want a copy?

Twilight won 5 MTV awards. I'm trying to catch up on youtube.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/06/2009 13:59

They will have gone to school/work hopefully
Yes, I'd like a copy Oggs. Or maybe Berrie or Zeb can forward on theirs once they've watched it?
