I don't mind our germs...I just don't like cold germs from other people. I feel furious if someone visits and they're full of cold. i used to get really pissed off with colleagues who struggled into work thinking how good they were being then infecting everyone else...

Berrie · 30/04/2009 11:20

How odd...

Berrie · 30/04/2009 11:21

Although if dh had ever talked about Zombies I would probably have ignored him.

oggsfrog · 30/04/2009 11:25

That thread made me cry with laughter at times.

I went to 'threads I'm watching' to try to find it for you and realised with a shock just how many threads I've tagged over the last 3 years. I need to have a clear out.

I've never been fussy about germs of any sort. Some of the things I did and was exposed to when I was a student nurse would have grossed you out Berrie .

oggsfrog · 30/04/2009 11:28

I'm currently converting The Golden Compass for dd so she can go and watch that while I try to catch up with weeks worth of washing, cleaning, paperwork etc... ... I'd much rather be googling RP.

Berrie · 30/04/2009 11:52

Glad she's feeling better.

Nearly lunch time.

Berrie · 30/04/2009 11:53

Didn't catch any rats again last night. Dh loaded that traps with peanut butter but they were not even sprung. I reckon he put them in the wrong place.

Thinking about cancelling my Tesco order

oggsfrog · 30/04/2009 14:12

I wish I could have home deliveries.

Because they go by postcode rather than common sense the big store I usually shop in (~20 miles away) won't deliver.

The nearest by postcode is ~50 miles away and is a much smaller shop, not stocking a lot of the stuff I want.
The two times I have used them they've been over 3 hours out on delivery (I can't blame them, they just underestimate where we are) and have substituted so many things that it's like getting somebody else's shopping .

Also I can't have anybody pick my meat for me, I have to do it myself , so it means going out anyway.

Berrie · 30/04/2009 14:55

I've revised it instead. taken off all the stuff I wouldn't use normally. That way it's not really costing me money on a silly whim...more buying it in advance!

oggsfrog · 30/04/2009 16:30

Couple of slices of ham with cheese for lunch.
I've run out of cream, and the hot choc drinks I have, so will be on black coffee until I can get to the shops.

Berrie · 30/04/2009 16:56

Mackerel salad for lunch. Felt so light headed this afternoon I had to have a flapjack. It was delicious. I'm no good at this.

I've unravelled my tardis.

Zeb must have had a heavy night!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/04/2009 17:04

Morning all. Oh, is it dinner time already?
Only joking! I was up at the crack of dawn this morning, with a raging hangover, for a job interview. However, the hangover may have been a Good Thing as they offered me the job on the spot, which I accepted.
So Zeb has been bouncing up and down ever since.

Without boring you, it's kinda similar to what I was doing before, but actually the manager this time and paying a wackload more. Plus car. I start towards the end of May, so I now have to tell the other guy who offered me a job starting in a fortnight that I can accept it. But as this new job pays enormously higher than his one, it's not such a difficult thing to explain. And it's private not public sector. Thank f*!

And I'm afraid I'm with Oggs on the cleanliness gig, Berrie. 4 years on a farm does that to a girl. But supplies might be a good idea so as to avoid people if necessary.

oggsfrog · 30/04/2009 18:18

Oh well done Zeb! That's brilliant

MatthewBellamysMuse · 30/04/2009 19:06

Congrats Zeb. No more lady of leisure for you.

Berrie · 30/04/2009 19:10

Tee Hee Berrie rolls on the floor laughing that she has given the impression she is a clean freak and would like to point out that when she complains that her house is a pig sty, she does not mean there is a single crumb on the side- it really is grim.

My house is geeeeerm paradise! I just don't like other people's sneezes!

Berrie · 30/04/2009 19:11

Congratulations Zeb...woohoo!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/04/2009 19:24

Thanks. I can be a lady of leisure for a couple more weeks though.

Phew Berrie. I'm so relieved. I suddenly had visions of you trailing around after me with your bleach in one hand and mop in the other, tutting loudly at my slovenly cleaning habits. Oh bu$$er. That reminds me. My mother's coming over next week.

Berrie · 01/05/2009 08:06

You can't have too much of a build up of gunk under the fridge yet Zeb, you've only just moved in. There can't be anything for Ma to see!

Right I should be working all day today if all the children are there so have a good day everyone.

oggsfrog · 01/05/2009 08:07

Good morning

oggsfrog · 01/05/2009 08:09

Have a good day Berrie

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/05/2009 09:25

I hope the day is good Berrie. And Breaking Dawn is definitely an oddity.

Right, I suppose I ought to pack as I'm off to Dorset after lunch.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 01/05/2009 11:34

Morning. I've spent the last few hours in various DIY shops buying various DIY materials. DP is home today so I can't get away with doing nowt then making it look like I've worked hard all day.
Breaking Dawn does get quite absurd towards the end, doesn't it. All that stuff with Bella's shield and the weird assortment of vampires collected from all over the world. load of old nonsense.
But now you can read Midnight Sun (what there is of it) then go back to the beginning and re-read Twilight.
If you go to stepheniemeyer.com there are chapters that were left out of the books and lots of other stuff. Look for 'outtakes' under each book heading.

Ciao ladies. I shall 'see' you all again when I get back from sunny Dorset.
In the meantime, keep well!
