These are useful.
Beans aren't quite heavy enough.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 17:16

Oh Lord...those will do my back in Perhaps I should just wear those weights all day instead?

MatthewBellamysMuse · 28/04/2009 17:35

Is cosmetic surgery an option?

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/04/2009 17:45

Yes. I'm thinking all over liposuction. How much do you think that would cost?

RustyBear · 28/04/2009 18:24

Hi - I hope you lot don't mind me gatecrashing your thread to say thank you very much to oggs (I assume she'll be along some time) for my tardis knitted square, which arrived today - a very nice surprise to get when I arrived home from work.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 18:37

Tee hee - am making my very own tardis square!

Berrie · 28/04/2009 18:38

Yes, I fantasise about having a tummy tuck and a bingo wing removal.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 18:49

My pleasure Rusty . Thanks again for taping Planet of the Dead for me.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 18:58

I'm just putting dd to bed.

The fact that she's going without protest at such an early time is proof positive that she is under the weather.

She's hardly eaten a thing all day and is falling asleep - looks like she won't be going in tomorrow either, and I'm supposed to be working.

Ah well, that gives me even more time to spend in the bath with Edward and Jacob

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/04/2009 19:45

Bath? Ha! Is that with or without bubbles?!

Berrie · 28/04/2009 19:58

Poor DD, has she stopped being sick?

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 20:01

Me and the boys will be bathing with bubbles tonight. (Bubbles can hide a multitude of sins )

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 20:42

Dd not been sick since earlier today, but very subdued, sleepy and no appetite.

Right. Off to the bubbles I we go...

oggsfrog · 29/04/2009 07:54

Jeez, I think I'm suffering from sleep deprivation. I made it until 2am last night before I new I needed to clamber into bed.

Well. Hmmm. It's all a bit erm... odd? weird? Actually, ludicrous was the word I wrote down last night as I was reading.

I'm now up to the part where Jacob has imprinted with Nessie, Bella is a vampire and Charlie has just been to visit.

It's like it's written by someone else. I quite liked the Jacob part once I'd gotten used to his first person narrative, but only the Jacoby bits iyswim. The whole fountains of blood, broken back, torn apart bit was a bit .

The characters seem to be inconsistant with the first 3 books. The timbre of the writing has changed. It's not cohesive or believable. It's a bit pat/trite/neat.

I know that is perhaps not the best way of putting it (we are talking werewolves and vampires), but before you could believe in the people (their emotions and reactions) whereas now it all seems to have turned into a bit of a farce.

Hmm. I still love Edward and think Jacob is a complete star who has made the most sacrifices of all. Bella wants a good slapping at times. I'm jealously enjoying her new relationship with Edward.

Right, must go and drag my weary body to go see how dd is this morning. She had a high temp late last night and as I hugged and kissed her I thought, I wonder if this is what hugging a werewolf would be like .

Berrie · 29/04/2009 08:21

Hope that you don't catch it Oggs!

Berrie · 29/04/2009 08:25

Ok I joined Ravelry Oggs and I called myself Berlie...closest I could think of.

oggsfrog · 29/04/2009 09:09

I found you.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 29/04/2009 09:10

I agree with everything you've said Oggs. It's so different from the other books. It's all a little bit too freaky for my liking.
Jacob imprinting on a newborn
Bella going off hunting with Edward in a silk dress and high heels
Charlie just accepting that his daughter is a vampire and not wanting to know the details
Bella never giving her poor abandoned mother another thought

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 29/04/2009 09:12

Oggs, I pretty much agree with everything you've said about Breaking Dawn. As for the explanation of how Edward can father a child. - that's my sceptical face. Even with my total lack of medical understanding I found it unbelievable. Yes, I know these are vampires, but even so.

How's DD this morning? Is she still off school?

And Berrie, how's DH? That's an awful lot on your plate at the moment, isn't it. A bad hand and the possibility of redundancy. Big hugs,

Err, Lyra, how's the painting?

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs, 2 1/2 rashers of bacon. Lots of black coffee.

But I have a friend coming over tonight. It will get messy. Any suggestions of what I should cook?

MatthewBellamysMuse · 29/04/2009 09:16

What about a big fat steak with a nice creamy sauce and lots of veg?

Today, I'm going to have to attempt the job I've been putting off - scraping off the old tile adhesive in the bathroom and skimming the walls (upper) ready for painting.
I did paint the floor the other night and tiled the splashback behind my new little basin in the separate loo. I'm getting quite good at all this. I'm getting my builder to make me his apprentice.

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 29/04/2009 09:17

Is she writing another one, or is that it now?

MatthewBellamysMuse · 29/04/2009 09:17

Those Breaking Dawn examples were in addition to Oggs' list btw.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 29/04/2009 09:18

Midnight Sun. I bet I'm the only one who's read it. Still.
She says there won't be any more but I bet she gets tempted.

OP posts:
MatthewBellamysMuse · 29/04/2009 09:23

It's blazing hot here today.

OP posts:
Berrie · 29/04/2009 09:28

Morning. My frickin' back is killing today. I think it's because I walked up to school to fetch ds yesterday or it could have been the ironing on Sunday.
I really really don't want to be a full time teacher again. Much too much like hard work. Nevermind. I'll come and be Lyra's builder's apprentice's apprentice!
