my toms and pepper seedlings are growing like mad in the conservatory. it is quite cold today.

waiting for so much news today..
sister, last viewers' feedback, want to start ringing midland nurseries to get up to speed on where there are places just in case
but darent in case I jinx it again

love the word 'jinx'

the pirate lang thread almost makes me want to re-join FB! not quite though..

worley · 05/05/2009 14:56

hope the scan went all right.
i applied for ds2 to start full time nursery in sept today. we decided that i can apply for the obstetric and gynae ultrasound job coming up in sept, i dont think i will be offered it as one of the people going for it has been in our dept for 12 years , so lots more experience than me, but at least apply so if another job comes up next year they know i have been interested. the other girl going for it has only been qualified a year so not sure if they would give it to her either. if i did it would mean working full time for a year and then i can drop down hours again after qualified in sonography. lots of travlling to london to college to.

dp says he would go back on to nights so i can do it, but then i would get the guilt trip for the next few years about him giving up his position again so i could do it. etc etc so i told him i would only go for it if we sort something out for ds1 after school, im not having him moan at me for being on nights.

why does childcare have to be such a pain!!!

worley · 05/05/2009 14:59

have pasta & bacon for tea. mmm nice and quick and easy. surfing to buy dp a ipod thing now, get discount through an nhs discount site so going to get this one

Jennster · 05/05/2009 16:24

We are going to have chicken and mushroom pie when I get round to making some pastry. Dh loved it last week, and it's not stirfry weather today.

Very tired. Just been woken by my sister. She wants to know about renting her house. She has just got a job in Manchester, and will be moving there to be with her bf. Was expecting a call from my mw as I had to have a presentation scan this morning. Ended up having 80-90 minutes of very painful alien-like movements from little one. I was leaning over a beanbag with my bum in the air making sure baby didn't turn, and it was moving that violently, it was making the beans in the bag move noisily. Had to breathe through it. Luckily head is still down.

Voodoo. Hope your sister gets good news, and you get some good feedback about your house.

We viewed a primary school today for dd. It was really nice. There is a before and after school club, which our local school doesn't have. The children were really well behaved, and the layout of the school was lovely.

Jennster · 05/05/2009 21:39

I'm off to Chorley tomorrow to get fitted properly for nursing bras. They do Hot Milk ones. Mothercare and MandS are absolute crud at measuring and fitting you. And the Mothercare bras are absolutely useless if you're going to use them longer than a couple of weeks.

Macdog · 05/05/2009 22:14

Hey everyone!

Glad things going well, Jenn. Good luck with boulder holders tomorrow.

Voods, keeping fingers crossed for your sister

Worley, hoping you get job, and get childcare sorted!

dd no probs back at nursery

Macdog · 05/05/2009 22:19

was at dd's parents night tonight.

Came over all MN at reading 'possitive' and 'seperation' in her reports. I swear I had my face on

Jennster · 06/05/2009 08:42

Macdog. I'm 'friends' with 4 'aunties' from nursery on Facebook and increasingly at their exploits. They are not circumspect at all. As for their text speak....yee gods.

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 09:11

btw macdog your mooncup scenario was hilarious on the talk roundup!

sisters lump is A-OK. she has to go back in July for a checkup but they are happy it is not anything sinister. {relief} now she has her 12wk scan today!

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 09:16

kids still streaming colds. Jenn does your sister want to buy our house? [pleading face] the last viewers really liked it but have lots more properties to view.

kids so bad with colds and I really need to swing by the building society today... is it worth wrapping them up against the cold brrrr? or doing it another day. going to skip playgroup this morn,. dd was up 3/4 times throght he night coughjing and drowning in snot [sorry if y'all are eating]

Jenn keep the head in correct position!!! sounds like it won't be long..

how late/ early were the other two babes?

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 09:19

I am wearing my new specs as so tired from last nite too tired to do contacts (and may have a nap later!) they are really comfy and light on my nose, even with my wacky prescrition (one eye more than twice as bad as the other. when I was a kid I had to have extensive testing at Birmingham eye hospital including a skull xray and electrodes all over my head testing reaction times as they thought my mum had dropped me on one side of my head !! PMSL thinking about that today, my mum must have felt very 'got at' at the time. Im sure she didnt drop me. Jeez, when I think of all the times ds has bumped his head already, he smacked it off the horrid corner of the [tiled] fireplace yesterday. made me feel sick but he was fine.

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 09:20

and with Liam Neesons wife refuseing treatment after bumping the side of her head it makes you worry,.

Macdog · 06/05/2009 09:24

Glad your sister's results good, Voods. Wrap those kiddies up and get them out there!

keep that head down jenn!

worley · 06/05/2009 15:40

im soo glad im not having any more babies, you forget how uncomfortable you get at the end!
i cant remember which nursing bras i had, i dont think i have ever heard of hot milk though!

Jennster · 06/05/2009 16:27

I got this one, this one and plain old this in ivory

You'll never guess what size I am. Was wearing a 34D and now in a 30F! How cool is that?

worley · 06/05/2009 17:08

oooow, were you all squashed up? are giving jordan a run for her money lol!!

worley · 06/05/2009 17:10

are they actually using pregnant models?? they dont look quite right?

Jennster · 06/05/2009 17:29

No idea. I imagine so. Didn't feel squashed, but feel supported now. I feel a bit smug and a skinny minny. That said I'm wearing a shrunken non maternity T-Shirt from New Look in size 18.....

Voodoo, sister is going to rent with her OH for a while, to see if they are ok together, then get married and buy. Think she is working in Openshawe, but he lives in rented in Didsbury or somewhere posh that way.

Macdog · 06/05/2009 18:57

This is what you want Worley. A snip at £5K

LOL @ Jordaneqsque Jennster!

dd peeled and grated the carrot for her dinner tonight. kept her quiet for AAAAAges!

OP posts:
VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 19:47

eek some bits of MN have changed now Ive logged in again..

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 19:53

oh my goodness I want a horse exerciser Worley! and a horse practise machine macdog! Just need to win the lottery ..

yeah kids got wrapped in 2 coats each (Iamaze myself sometimes) and dragged to matalan and pets at home. Needed fat balls for the tits (not yours Jenn ) and a coat for dd. as its spring though, no shops have any kids coats. what utter nonsense. got her a pair of sparkly white pumps on a ridiculous £6 whim. they are 'fairy shoes' though and some gifts for the kids' cousins we'll see on saturday at grandad PEmbolism's birthday BBQ. No spicy sausage for him

VoodooTheUnlikely · 06/05/2009 19:55

hmm. on a reread you may think I am obsessive about coats. dd was in fact wearing 2 of ds's coats as the PIL and other family members randomly all bought him a coat but none for dd. Hence he has 4 coats and she has just grown out of her last one.
