Macdog · 23/02/2009 17:30

I remember informing you lot about Billy Connolly's opinions on them

OP posts:
Macdog · 23/02/2009 17:31

oooh, do you remember the night I got rather inebriated and waded into a fight on your Parent & Toddler thread

OP posts:
Macdog · 23/02/2009 17:34

Hope your ds better soon Worley

OP posts:
IceCreamy · 23/02/2009 21:10

it is only good to fight on MN when you are pissed...otherwise I get too involved and oddly upset by the harridans.

toblerone as a sex aid? was that what BC was on about? Butthole pleasures? can't believe I typed that..
hope your ds is feeling better, Worley.

ds is still incredibly grizzly, hope he sleeps thru tonight. have singing group tomorrow, dd so excited about it bless.

IceCreamy · 23/02/2009 21:12

dh watching boring football so Ive been googling the Oscar dresses.
I love Angelina Jolie, she is so beautiful. Too thin though.

didnt really like SJPs dress, too wedding-y and try hard.
Meryl Streep is a goddess, and I liked Kate Winslets grey and black dress. Beyopnces was a bit wild though..

IceCreamy · 23/02/2009 21:13

reece witherspoons was weird.
penelope cruz was boring, she always wears floaty pretty types.
Like nicole kidmans feathery tentacles

VoodooTheOriginal · 23/02/2009 21:16

ok I am BACK!!!!!!!!

VoodooTheOriginal · 23/02/2009 21:17

that old thread bought it all back to me. I am voodoo.

VoodooTheOriginal · 23/02/2009 21:17

and Food Focus doesnt like Ice cream anyway.

Jennster · 23/02/2009 21:44

Ha oh god.

Worley, I suppose it's possible that the injection could be messing your periods, up. I'm not sure though. Sorry that's not more helpful.

Icecreamy I'm flattered. I could have posted this boasty aren't I fab post this morning and it's all gone down hill. I'm a nasty hormonal old witch. I sorted out the kitchen cupboards, hoovered the kitchen floor (easier and more efficient than brushing your floor) scrubbed both ovens and grill - they were disgusting- worked out how to put the oven on timer, put a roast on timer in the oven, made some flapjacks, made Dh some lunch and went out for a swim and yoga. Had a fab day until I got home and ds started puking, dd was being a little monster.

So anyway they both puked up their dinner so I gave them a bath and put them to bed. I know dd will wake me in the night so she can either sit on the potty and empty it for her, or change her wet bedding. I'm knackered, need a full nights sleep, need a co-operative daughter who doesn't bloody ask me why to everything, doesn't object to every little detail. I don't want a pink plate I want a pink plate. I don't want a blue cup I want a blue cup. ffs. Dh said he would tidy and clean the kitchen, so I took over reading the stories so he could do that as he has a load of work to do tonight, and I came down to him on the internet and watching tv. All the pukey clothes still need washing, all the loads of washing I did today need folding and putting away.

Anyway Macdog. Monday sounds good, or you could extend your holiday and stay the Friday night at ours? You'd all have to stay in the same room though.

Macdog · 24/02/2009 09:27

{{{hugs}}} Jenn

Thanks for the very kind offer, but I don't want to put you to any trouble. You have enough on your plate at the moment.

Macdog · 24/02/2009 09:33

...and Voods, I can't think of you by any other name!

VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 14:38

eeeeek Jenn, my dd is also big with that kind of intensely aggravating whine;

she will ONLY eat 'daddy's cornflakes' in the morning, and only because she perceives them as daddy's and therefore eating them is naughty..

she always without fail runs and hides under the duvet in between me dressing her in one item of clothing, ie. pants go on, run and hide. sock goes on, run and hide. Not a fun game for me, end up dragging her out by her arm. she doesnt understand why I dont find it cute/amusing..

and answers NO! now automatically to every question - here's the killer - including when she emphatically means 'YES!' very confusing for us all.

but on the good side she is wonderful with Mr Grizzlechops (ds not dh) making him laugh as much as she can, fetching the 1000th bib of the day etc.

hmmm, in the 3 yrs we have had our oven I have NEVER cleaned it...but I hate a grubby grill pan so I am always doing that. isnt that weird! I just cant face cleaning ovens.
been sloely doing the insides and outs of all the windows, am up to the conservatory...that is a lot of work...

VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 14:39

'sloely' actually works as an alternate spelling.....

VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 14:40

I only stopped being voodoo when that MN knowitall nicked my name for halloween

VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 14:41

Jenn can I come and stay? and leave my rotten teething dribbley bunch here!!!

VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 14:43

we went to singing group this morn....to find it overrun with 6 yes SIX extra 18mth old boys...........hard core. It was a zoo.
there were 12 kids altogether in a small hot room, yowling dingle dangle effing scarecrow and all that jazz...the mums trying to keep grins firmly fixed on our sweating stressed out faces...
and one boy was called 'Xonder'

Macdog · 24/02/2009 14:54

Poor you Voods.
glad I don't do the Singing time at Toddlers anymore.

my grandad died last night, i got a call at 8.45pm to get to the hospital asap which i did (good job dp was here so i just him with the boys) i got there at literally 9pm and he just passed as we all got in the door to his room.
i got there just before my parents and was standing at the door to the hospital but it was all locked (its an old cottage hospital, so if they dont lock it the elderly mobile people let themselves out and get lost!)i was knocking on the door, but the women at the desk didnt see me and then i turn round and theres this bloke walking towards me, im feeling a bit nervous then and stands right in front of me and then asks me where the postbox is!!??!! i kept looking in the the door trying to will the women to see me as i was thinking i was about to be abducted or something! but them my parents and brother turned up and he went. and the receptionist saw us and let us in, but we only just made it in his room. the nurses didn't even know he had died i had to go find them and tell them.

i was going to go to work this morning but then when ds1 got up and i told him, i started howling again, so thought maybe i wont, so i rang work and spoke to one of my friends and started howling on the phone to her as well! so stayed at home today. took ds2 to nursery and took the dog out for a really long walk around the field.

worley · 24/02/2009 15:20

and the freaky thing is that sunday night night he kept saying that my nanny was there standing by the door waiting for him. we thought he was going a loopy but maybe he could see my nanny and she came for him??? who knows?

Macdog · 24/02/2009 17:21

Oh Worley

So sorry.

OP posts:
VoodooTheOriginal · 24/02/2009 20:04

sorry Worley. Comforting to think your nan was waiting for him.

Jennster · 24/02/2009 21:42

Voodoo (always voodoo, even when you are icecreamy) you would be most welcome. We live an hour away from each other and still never met!

Voodoo it really wouldn't be any trouble at all. Honestly, but then once you have to pack up, you just want to get home I suppose.

Got my friend coming to stay next week. Her dh is doing up their house.....very very very very slowly. I think they have plaster on the walls at least now. Anyway she has a 3 month old baby so that will be lovely seeing her for a few days. I'm off all next week too.

Feel a bit better today. Full of pancakes.

Worley. Sorry to hear about your grandad. It's nice to think your granny ws ther.

Macdog · 24/02/2009 22:07

Voods, are you around that week too? from Mon 16th march??
I'll DM you my numbers and see if we can get a meet-up going!!

(you can sense dh sitting with his head in hands, can't you!)
