The song Susan Boyle sung is actually fiendishly difficult to sing.
She absolutely nailed it

(such a Les Mis fan, me )

you know what, that amanda holden irritates me when she stands up and claps, she stands with her arms fully extended and looks like a sealion slapping his finns together...

Jennster · 19/04/2009 22:29

Honk honk honk She's not quite as patronising as Sharon Osborne

Jennster · 20/04/2009 08:46

What a gorgeous day yesterday was. We had a BBQ. Need to sort out a hospital bag though just in case.

VoodooWithBellsOn · 20/04/2009 14:14

oh my flipping god.

my sis who is now 11 weeks pg has just told me she found a lump in her breast in December...and has only just told doc about it, at same time she told them she was pg.

because of size and place of lump she has an urgent spot at the breast clinic.

its in her armpit.
she says it has gone smaller and now bigger again (surely hormonal?)

she is now worried theyll make her have an abortion if she needs radio/chemo in a worst case scenario.

do we need to be worried? obv. I already am but she doesnt seem to be (she is a nurse and very chilled out about health)

VoodooWithBellsOn · 20/04/2009 14:41

I still havent got a nursery place for dd

too much going on

VoodooWithBellsOn · 20/04/2009 14:43

daily mail were mocking A Holden for suggesting susan boyle should not have a makeover as it would 'ruin it'
this is the A Holden who has had quite a lot of cosmetic enhancements herself...

VoodooWithBellsOn · 20/04/2009 14:44

thanks for gaga interview links jenn
I like her. Poker face is very addictive.

How do you make Lady Gaga angry?
Poke-her Face, of course

Macdog · 20/04/2009 15:55

dd survived first day at nursery.

According to staff she loved free play, but not keen on structured activities.
Hoping that'll work out as she gets used to it.

Took her to beach this afternoon, dh taken week off.
Built castles, dug holes, had picnic - luverly!!

Voodoo If it gets bigger and smaller then would guess the lump could be hormonal. Is it painful ever? Has she switched to wearing bras without wire in? Do you have a history of breast cancer in the family? Obviously a history has to start somewhere but the fast track referral is brilliant at sorting out what is what. They can't make her do anything she doesn't want to do.

Read this to make you feel a bit better. I've no idea how well researched this article is, but it seems to be talking sense. Cysts it says will grow and shrink with hormones.

Macdog · 21/04/2009 17:34

I won a MN comp!

(didn't even know I had entered it )

VoodooWithBellsOn · 21/04/2009 19:34

Jenn

thanks for that article.
She found the lump in Dec but left it as it got very small then noticed it last week when it was big again. It was never painful.

we have no breast cnacer in the family but my mum has had cysts.
I am sure she will be ok.

well done Macdog! Ive never won a sausage on here.

we had a viewing booked for tomorrow night so I tidied up the kitchen to give me a head start. Then I looked out the window and they were here!! The stupid estate agent got the dates wrong. Cue me showing them round a very untidy house with two messy kids in states of undress. Luckily they had a 2yr old with them and they were both doctors. Oh well at least I don' have to waste tomorrow tidying up now!!! could've been embarrassing though...

VoodooWithBellsOn · 21/04/2009 19:36

oy macdoggie link that chinese recipe please so I do the right one.. thanks!
the only ones Ive tried off here were some rubbish yacky oat biscuits. waste of ingredients.

getting another poem published! its a really crap one. still not won any cash though.

Jennster · 21/04/2009 20:32

Voodoo well done for the poem. Would be nice to get some cash though. Estate agents are a bit crap aren't they.

Macdog Well done for winning the competition. Which one was it and what did you win? Does the chinese use left over chicken? We're getting a bit bored of stirfry every Monday or Tuesday with the left over chicken from Saturday or Sunday.

Worley Hope nights aren't going to bad. Look forward to catching up when you feel human again.
