happy mothers day, off out for a meal with my mum, dad, nanny and the ds's. dp is working today, and ds1 still asleep so i have to wait for my mothersday card hes made, ds2 did one at nursery where they painted his foot red and put black spots on to make it in to a lady bird. his foot looks so big compared to the one they did a couple of years ago hes growing up beofre my very eyes

TheCosmicClock · 22/03/2009 15:38

cant afford £40+petrol, tbh Jenn!

I'm back at work next sunday though, so should start getting a bit easier...
am absolutley knackered and keep resorting to chocolate to saty awake, even ate one of dds easter eggs watching abit of Gosford park last night

we had a great day meeting my sister's new baby girl yesterday. she is a cutie. made ds look gigantic. My other sister and her ds had come down with a vomiting bug so couldnt come. Hope they're feeling better.

Macdog · 22/03/2009 16:54

Blimmin' tired.
Still can't see the bottom of the washing basket.
dh working so dd and I pootled round Glasgow. She's walking full time now, so I don't get half as far as I used to - saving me a fortune in TKMaxx though

worley · 22/03/2009 16:59

i got a nintendo ds for mothers day!!!!!!! i wasnt even expecting a box of chocs! i've been going on about one for months to use while im on night duties (as nowt but crap on at 3 in the morning) and dp must have relented. although im the one that actually pays off the credit card, so i will be paying for it in the end but he thought of it and ds1 is now playing with it

worley · 22/03/2009 17:04

god, dp and tkmaxx!! he is addicted to sunglasses and as soon as the sun was here this week he was there straight away to buy some, and he has ordered these, i am not walking around with him wearing these, i dont know what gets in to him and blooming glasses. its just weird. he says it will all be the fashion in the summer and he wants them first, he has been watching too many vin diesel films i think.

Off to make a public album now

TheCosmicClock · 23/03/2009 15:54

you two? what about moi?

TheCosmicClock · 23/03/2009 15:58

anyway....the big news today is I made some toast, that warburtons fruit bread... and took a bite... and bit into a piece of gravel/marble! seriously. nearly broke my tooth. and the stone/rock was white, so thought a tooth had come out!!
turns my stomach.
Phoned them straight away, and have posted my toast and the rock thing off to them. Also rang trading standards to check this was the right thing to do, an environmental health bod will be in touch with me in approx 3 days

so may get some compo!!
(in all seriousness the baby could have eaten it and choked) or I couldve choked...

TheCosmicClock · 23/03/2009 15:59

re-running the eating of the toast and the ouch-factor has put me off toast. maybe forever.
lucky I am not in the dentist now getting repairs!!

Macdog · 23/03/2009 16:06

Don't go in the huff with me, Girlie, you left FB!

And Yikes to lump of whatnot in bread

OP posts:
Jennster · 23/03/2009 20:42

Voodoo NOOOOOOOO. Warburtons will never get the piece of gravel and you won't get a penny. Dh would have sorted you out gratis.

I'm very proud of myself. I am currently downloading my albums onto my new iPod. Got it for my birthday, and now we have a spanking new computer up and running I can download to my heart's content. I need some lessons though.

TheCosmicClock · 24/03/2009 14:23

am I sooooo naive that I trust those evil bakers?

Jenn I did not know your dh was a lawyer? or is he environmental health?
what did he think? is it serious? my dh just said that lumps of whatnot were to be expected in food as its all made in factories he is a bit off colour with stress tbh, don't think he was listening to me when I told him about it all

VoodooWithBellsOn · 24/03/2009 14:26

just had a very eventful half hour, dd peed all over the mini-trampoline and carpet as I was out hanging up washing for all of 3 mins and she never hinted she might desperately need a wee
then she fell over and bashed her head
ds is alright though. Still up 2/3 times a night. [resigned emoticon]

VoodooWithBellsOn · 24/03/2009 14:27

lol at my dh's ideas about normal food production standards. what world does he live in!

VoodooWithBellsOn · 24/03/2009 14:27

I have the washing out blowing nicely but now it is awfully overcast.
Nooooooooooo!!!!

also bit of gossip dont repeat....

my other sister is now 8wks pg with her second!!!

VoodooWithBellsOn · 24/03/2009 14:28

that will be 5 grandchildren in 3 years for my parents

worley · 24/03/2009 15:45

exspensive birthdays and chriatmas in your house then voodz
about evil bankers, i just went for a yearly review at my bank, where i had to talk to this bloke, and im sitting there thinking "i know you from somewhere..."so i got home and just looked him up on facebook and he is friends with 6 of my friends so his face must keep popping up on that people you may know thing. he wanted to give me an over draft which i declined (arent i good!, although im still paying my student overdraft off at barclays) he couldnt beat any of our mortage deals or insurance things, so waste of time really.

worley · 24/03/2009 15:46

oh hell, i have some how managed to eat a whole packet of jaffa cakes. thats what i get for not eating any breakfast or dinner today and being hungry when i get home.

worley · 24/03/2009 15:48

my sil found a big bit of plastic in a lush bath bomb once, she sent it back to them and they sent her a big box of freebie things as an apology. the plastic was a bit of their mould apparently... i still havnt managed to find one

worley · 24/03/2009 16:03

and i just got a bra reduced to £7 in marks and spencers, one of their par una ones, (is that right?) i have about 8 bras now.. i keep stocking up in the sale, no one seems to want the hamocks all the better for me!

worley · 24/03/2009 17:47

ds2 just woke up after being asleep scince 3pm, his first word was cake. he picked a donut with a smiley face on from the bakery but i told him he had to wait till we got home to eat it, but he fell asleep in the car and obvioulsy didnt forget about it!

Macdog · 24/03/2009 18:49

at you finding hammocks on sale.
I hate going shopping for bras, can never seem to find ANY that fit.
Got "measured" in M&S the last time - never again. Nearly came away in tears. (it's what I get for being a big fat heffalump though)

OP posts:
Jennster · 24/03/2009 22:48

Yup ds a solicitor. Does that sort of thing.

Worley I only got the invite because I'm on the mailing list for an independent bookshop that won 'Independent Bookshop of the year' last year and I suspect part of their prize was organising all the celebrity signings and things. There was a Stuart Maconie one recently and Trinny and Suzanna have been to Kirkham too. In fact Macdog it's the bookshop you got the icecream from.

Very tired. Just been to a talk 'The Politics of Breastfeeding' by Gabrielle Palmer. Was very good, but I'm ready for sleep.
