got washing blowing gently on the line hooray for spring. not seen any squirrels though? seen some lovely yellowhammers and chaffinches, and our 2 robins.

TheCosmicClock · 20/03/2009 14:48

oops not yellowhammers trying to identify them on rspb site, very unusual beautiful finchy types, yellow and black, saw 4 in our front hedge yesterday, lovely.
we have a pair of mistle thrushes too.
but 10 magpies live on the field in front of our house so little birds have them to overcome too!!

TheCosmicClock · 20/03/2009 14:50

worley · 20/03/2009 19:49

yay yay yay macdoggies are back!!

had a lovely ploughmans for lunch, came home and finshed some tidying whilst i waited for my mum to drop ds2 off to me, went upstairs to find a cat had peed all over our duvet so after i had ds1&2 i had to spend the next 90 minuts at a launderette washing and drying it. i have sponged the matteress, sprayed it with febreeze stuff and turned it over. i hate fecking cats, once these have gone to heaven i am not getting any more, dogs are soooo much better.

however ds2 made friends with another girl in the launderette, she was 8 and played games with him, and then when she had to leave with her mum ds2 cried as he still wanted to play with the girl, ahhh.

worley · 20/03/2009 19:52

jenn, i love the crocus too, do you get their little catalogues (?sp) they send out? i love looking through them, but agree they are expensive, i have ordered from the suttons site before when they had some early deals on.

worley · 20/03/2009 20:01

and i love peking chicken, i have it every time, its lush from ours, it comes in a reddish sauce, lush lush lush. im the only one that likes it so get the whole pot dp doesnt like chinese so we dont get it that often, normally when he is at work and i cant be arsed to cook for me and the boys.

my mum and dad have a pheasant that keeps coming in and eating all the bird food they put out. mums chickens go mad, they dont like him but he comes in when they have been shut up. they have a muntjack (?sp)deer that keep coming in to.

i just saw my post from yesterday and reminded myself that i have some fondant fancies in the cuboard mmmm
brought my mum an african violet and some thorntons for mothers day, and ds1 rang me on the way home to ask if he go to the shop with his bf. its only over the road so i said yes, and as as he was the only one with some money he brought his feiend a chocolate bar too, however his bf decided he was going to save it to give to his mum for mothers day so ds1 shared his bar with his friend, so when ds1 got home and he told me all this, i aid oooh what did you get me for mothers day then? a bar of chocolate too, then he looked ashamed and said he didnt think of saving his bar for me, he wanted to eat it!!lol they are such a funny pair, like oldmen together walking down the road.

worley · 21/03/2009 16:09

i can see you!!!!!!!!!!!!

worley · 21/03/2009 16:14

left ds2 at my parents, he is happy cahsing the poor chickens around and helping grandad de duckweed the frog pond. its literally only the depth of a brick standing up but seems to get riddled with duck weed. had to que to get in the dump, the sun shine has brought every one outside.

didnt occur to me to hire a tin, but to be honet a tin to buy was £14 plus £3p£p, so handy to keep for future. im a dab hand at the batman one now. it comes out every year.
off to the shops for some crisps, i have the major fancies for a packet of crisps and i dont normally buy them so have none in me cuboards.

Macdog · 21/03/2009 17:34

am royally pissed off at dh. he's in the huff because dd didn't give him peace to watch the rugby.
I'm up to my eyeballs in doing holiday washing/drying and cooking dinner as well as entertaining dd.

Cool. I can see me and it's an up to date photo! I don't mind you putting them on Facebook if you want to Macdog.

Jennster · 21/03/2009 23:34

Macdog you have my sympathies. I am a harridan at the moment though. Horrid to live with.

Voodoo, I've been invited to a Jodi Picoult Literary Event. It's on the 5th May in St Anne's on Sea (very near Blackpool). JP will be attending and you get a copy of the new book. It costs just under £40 but you get lunch and canapes. Have lost your email address. If you email me I will forward you the link.

Worley. Ceanothus is one of my favourite plants. Absolutely gorgeous blue flowers, evergreen and you can get a variety to suit any height you want. From low growing spreading to very very tall.

worley · 22/03/2009 09:08

i see jade has dies during the night on mothers day
