Yes, text her! I do hope she's not going into labour on her own. Most likely though she is waiting around in the hospital.

Brangelina · 05/11/2008 16:55

Well, did you text her? What's happening?

francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2008 17:13

gio71 · 05/11/2008 19:14

yes and love it, keep looking round and smiling at my furniture

Sputnik · 05/11/2008 19:23

Yes, a lot of excitement today.
It would certainly be a historic day to be born

I'm picturing your house in the ikea catalogue now Gio!

Brangelina · 05/11/2008 23:17

Rosetta2 is born! Franca got a text from Rosa - her DD2 arrived at 7.18pm weighing 3.8kg so a very quick labour. Good job Rosa didn't take my crappy advice and stay put till grandma arrived.

I'll leave Rosa to divulge the name if she wants to.

Sorry to post so late but have been having a long soak in the bath and only now checked my phone.

CONGRATULATIONS ROSA AND FAMILY!

gio71 · 06/11/2008 07:14

congratulations Rosa!!!!!!!!!!!!fantastic news. take care, rest up then hurry back with details

Sputnik · 06/11/2008 08:15

Fantastic news!
Well done Rosa

francagoestohollywood · 06/11/2008 09:21

I'm so happy for rosa and her family !

My internet connection played up all night yesterday... I had been planning a long session on mn (dh went to the us yesterday), but fastweb let me down (again). So I was stuck watching the telly. The only remotely watchable thing was a fiction on canale 5 which was completely rubbish. argh.

Rosa also wanted to thank Sputnik and Brange for the support during the water leaking stage . I hope she's settled nicely in hospital and is being spoiled by her mum.

Gio, don't tell me you also have the trofast, I'd be too

OP posts:
Brangelina · 06/11/2008 09:33

Lol, did you watch that Amiche mie too? It was dire, wasn't it? I still managed to sit all the way through it though.

Wasn't it funny that they kept showing ariel shots of Navigli and Duomo, yet these people were supposed to reside in Corso Como? Also, they all appeared to live in case di ringhiera, yet the rooms were huge.

Gio, is your flat now official Ikea showhome? Do you have to conduct guided tours? If not, maybe you could suggest it to your local branch. For loads of cash of course.

Everybody has Trofast, apart from us, but only because it won't fit in DD's room with the huge wardrobe we put in there.

francagoestohollywood · 06/11/2008 09:42

Lol yes! And what about the party for elena sofia ricci in a flat just in front of the duomo? what a loads of bollocks!!! .
Really, it gets almost impossible to get a decent italian fiction nowadays. Have you noticed that rete4 only does reliogious ones? laast week it was papa giovanni paolo II, next week padre pio .

I'd love a trofast, but no space in the dc's bedroom. Mind you I bought (ikea of course) two single beds with 3 drawers, which are a good space saver.

I miss my house in exeter

Brangelina · 06/11/2008 09:58

Yes, that was silly! DP and I were just trying to work out what it was above as the tettoia thing didn't fit with where it should have been (i.e. arse end of Duomo). Boh.

People are going to think all us milanese (well, not me perhaps) live in these cool pads right in the centre.

I hadn't noticed the religious stuff on Rete 4 tbh, but then I tend to avoid it as it has Emilio Fede and Texas f*ing Ranger every evening. How many episodes did they make of that crap and did Berlusconi buy them all? It's never ending.

Rai used to do some good fictions but the best were always the historical biographies, like Caravaggio etc. DP watched the Einstein one the other day but we were most perturbed by the fact Einstein's hair remained steely grey throughout.

Now the only things that are any good are Montalbano and Quark offshoots (not strictly a fiction but I like their reconstructions). I didn't know that the unification of Italy was a primary cause of the breakdown of industrial society and therefore the spread of criminality in the south. Or is that a gross simplification and not true? Twas on an Alberto Angela prog the other day (I think Ulisse).
