No, I swear, I'm not confident at all. It's the internet, I think. Actually to think about it, I become more confident if around people I know. During the (extremely long) university yrs, I used to work for a market research company, doing random phonecalls (what's the right name in English cold something?) anyway, I have to force myself to pick up the phone and dial the number. I dreaded it. But the pay was good and it was from 18.30 to 22.30, perfect. ANd we could smoke !!!

I did Market Research for 1 day only I hated it 100% I just felt I was imposing on people!
I also despise door to door sellers ( as well as phone sales) of anything I feel if I want to buy smething I will go to a shop / internet / church myself.

yes, I felt like I imposed on people. And some of them were really rude. But most of the interviews were for newspapers. Somehow people seemed happy to talk about their newspapers habits...

Am sorry to hear about DD's poo problems. Too much or too little? Have you tried succo di prugna? It works wonders for stubborn unshiftable poos - the children's equivalent of a coffee and a fag. You can get the Ceréal one in most supermarkets.

I share your pain about the floor. We moved out bathroom around so all pipes run under the pedana where the bathtub is, so when it seemed we had a problem blockage we nearly had a heart attack.

Lol! And the sad thing is the ones with music from 20 years ago are often the better ones. There are so many weird stations out here, apparently there's even a station that plays nothing but Biagio Antonacci.

DP's old car radio was possessed, it used to automatically tune itself to Radio Maria or this really nightmarish ultra-techno-E-popping music station. We had to get rid of it as it was making our early morning commutes very vexing.

I like it though. as an expat it always make me feel good as it reminds me of my youth and makes me feel as if not one day has passed since I left!
