Ciao , Hello , Welcome .

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 16/06/2008 11:55

yes do that, you've got good taste please!

yes rent is free but I start to believe that a couple of trips to the local despar and the lettini will equal to the entire hol in sicily!

PippiCalzelunghe · 16/06/2008 11:55

do not say it twice... I'm packing already

Brangelina · 16/06/2008 11:56

I don't envy you your train trip Franca, ours would have taken 7hrs with about 4 changes so we decided to drive. Are you on an overnight sleeper? In taht case it will be totally painless.

I like posti selvaggi too, I hate with a vengeance bagni organizzati con lettini e ombrellini, but this place is free, plus it's in/near la Maremma which is an area I've always wanted to see.

I have no idea what films to recommend as have not been anywhere near a cinema or DVD rentall since leaving Milan. I sound like a real sad case, don't I.

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 11:56

I watched - if memory serves me well -:
Little miss sunshine
Mean girls
Match point
Siryana
The descent
Goodnight and good luck
The lives of others (highly recommend)
an Aki kaurismaki movie, I can't remember the title
an Iranian movie (can't remember the title)
I can't remember...

I had the departed in my list, but didn't see it.

Brangelina · 16/06/2008 11:58

Ooh, is the 2 George Clooney films there? I quite liked the sound of Siryana, is it any good? I might downlaod it onto my computer.

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 11:58

yes, overnight sleeper plus one set of nonni and ds' favourite prozia to share the dc with .

I watched another woody allen movie, Melinda and melinda. I also recommend match point, if you haven't seen it yet.

Brangelina · 16/06/2008 11:58
francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 11:59

Yes, I enjoyed siryana

Brangelina · 16/06/2008 12:00

I will stop mentioning him as I'm getting distracted and ahve had to redo my nota spese twice already. Off to get some lunch...buon appetito a tutte.

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 12:00

also watched the devil wears prada

Brangelina · 16/06/2008 12:01

Devil wears Prada is very good. Lovely clothes too...

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 12:01

lol brangelina, I'm forcing myself to NOT go and look for him on youtube

PippiCalzelunghe · 16/06/2008 12:04

All good recomendation, but watched almost all of them - hmmm pippi's not doing that bad.

precisely brange.

ticket to pg 259.00 - worth it?

Sputnik · 16/06/2008 12:04

Thanks for all the birthday wishes

We had a very small party at SIL's house, there were 7 of us, including the baby, and 3 cakes, so my kind of party!

Rosa you could try lattosio from the pharmacy. I read a thread on here where someone wrote letters to the poo fairy (on toilet paper, naturally) and flushed them down. It was a big sucess apparently.

PippiCalzelunghe · 16/06/2008 12:05

return for the 3 of us.

is it unfair to leave dh to graft? my excuse is that dd needs to practice her italian!

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 12:16

lol lol lol at letters to the poo fairy.

Glad you had a lovely party sputnik.

Should get my lunch too. The fridge is full of veggies, and all I want is eggs and bacon

I'd og pippi. Do you help in pg? if yes, go and relax

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 12:16

have

Sputnik · 16/06/2008 12:50

I have a fridge full f left over cake!

I would og too Franca

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 12:55

send some here. I could do with a nice slice of cake (just had a huge bowl of salad ) I might even make myself a cup of tea, such is the weather in milan...

Rosa · 16/06/2008 13:40

You rotten lot I missed all the chat - Sputnik glad you had a good time . I will try the poo fairy but flushing sees to help a bit we only let her flush when she sends a poo there..... Today we had usual jumping round and eventually she did it in her pants tears , andiamo cambiarsi not so many screams maybe as she did not see it . Brang when she sees it she screams - this is the child that cries when she hurts herself and thats it ( But bloomin cugino is a whinging lad and cries when you take a toy off him and I can see she studies him as SIl produces galatine, chuppa etc etc ). Apricots seem to be doing the trick actually and they are easier to disguise than prunes. She had some of the juice but not that keen. Made muffins this am as raining and they have choc and apricots and prunes in Dh will be fissa in bagno
SO Sputnik, Pippi Gio its up to us to keep this thread going whilst Franca and Brang sun themselves. Franca train auguri !
Am now going to book return flights for dd and me and its £242 From Uk back but we are a bit less flexible than you as have to do internal as well.

francagoestohollywood · 16/06/2008 14:05

Dh is going to exeter today so hopefully he'll bring back those lovely sticker books you can get in whsmith

Rosa · 16/06/2008 14:25
