Just had to post something about this programme. I watch it every week, and love the fact that Sarah is always right, and the "amateur" is always wrong. But tonight's programme was a classic - did anyone else think "personality clash"? And did anyone else think that Sarah went out of the way to show that she was right? They don't normally show people viewing the house, and they also seemed determined to show that the estate agents were concerned about the roof.

Great prog - I love it! (yet another one! )

It will be far more interesting when/if the market slows/stops/goes into reverse though. Imagine how smug SB will be then

What did she do to her tree, and what are those pastel bricks?

pupuce · 30/09/2003 20:32

Finally a real nut case

pupuce · 30/09/2003 20:57

Another who still made a bit of money... do you think she will do better next time ???? Certainly her builder will cost more next time...

forestfly · 30/09/2003 20:59

Awful, awful decorating ideas. Those petals! That fireplace! That bathroom floor!

Anyone see Grand Designs? I must be getting old, I was thinking how nice it would be to live in that house. ALL for 130k. Thought that was pretty good. How sensible were they though?

i thought they did very well! i would love to have a house designed from scratch...

CountessDracula · 02/10/2003 17:19

Shouldn't they have been out getting p*ssed, taking drugs etc? He could do with a visit to the dentist too..

aloha · 02/10/2003 18:25

I thought the house was LOVElY. Really liked the storybook porch. Cannot believe it was 130K. I agree they were supersquare...but...really well matched and sweet. His teeth were grim by telly standards, but they seemed really real. Ihope they have lots of babies and a happy life. Anyway, their house was actually quite groovy for a village farmhouse - loved the black limestone tiles.
BTW we only think 25 is young nowadays, in past eras he'd be leading batallions into war and she'd have two kids, and nobody would think they were too young. And I'm a geriatric 40-year-old!

pupuce · 02/10/2003 18:34

Agree with Aloha - some of you are bit harsh
At least they weren't arrogant... they managed to stay within deadline and didn't even overspend by 10%! Which is quite rare (if not never heard of) on that programme.... they were REALLY well supported though with expertise left and right.... but they stayed on top of it.
Well done them !
