Just over an hour to go...
I'll email you now Berrie.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 21:25

So tell me, are we mad to leave our lovely little house for one that's not vastly bigger, given the costs involved? I keep having second thoughts but then I remember the en-suite bathroom...

Berrie · 02/02/2008 21:40

Gosh...without having looked too hard at each, they are very similar aren't they...

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 21:44

Yes, but one's detached with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the other's a semi with two bedrooms and a downstairs bathroom. The two streets are comparable. So hard to decide...

Berrie · 02/02/2008 21:53

What is the price difference?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 21:56

Over 100K including fees, stamp duty etc.

Berrie · 02/02/2008 21:56

If it's a better house and you can afford it then go for it. if there is a chance that you could get an even better one in a couple of years then that might be an issue.
BTW, I think your chamber pot is a fine idea, I'd do that too! In fact we do do that when camping!

OP posts:
Berrie · 02/02/2008 21:57

Though not a victorian chamber poy obviously...more of a bucket!

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 21:57

I've bought a lovely one off ebay. I'll just have to find somewhere suitable to store it now...

LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 21:58

Mine's plain white but the traditional shape.

Berrie · 02/02/2008 21:58

oh horror of horrors!!

and

My dress split open at the ball last night. Irony is it is looser than it has ever been (at last I am starting to get results!! the only reason I struggled with the zip was because it is on the side and hard to manouvre IYSWIM so I couldnt have foreseen what would happen - but I was just straigthening it in the toilet mirror and the zip came apart a little at the hip....I twisted to show my friend and basically then came apart all the way up to my chest (thank god for the little hook and eye at the top of the zip .

So now I am wearing a dress slashed from the bosoms to the groin a la Liz Hurley circa 1998 (minus the safety pins). In this state I had to cross the ballroom with my friend pinned to my side (all natural like) so I could get my coat and get home and changed.

It did tickle me but I was mortifed as well, not because I had burst out of it - in fact I was dead chuffed it felt fairly loose - but because of my ability to lower the tone of even the swishest do by exposing acres of milk bottle white flesh - I had only applied tan to the bits you could see, naturally

binkleandflip · 03/02/2008 17:53

ps can I see the house photies too please

binkleandflip · 03/02/2008 18:07

have just see e-mail Berrie, thank you

Berrie · 03/02/2008 18:13

Oh no Binkle!
Tee Hee, you paint a vivid picture. Good job you don't go out much...smaller chance of it ever happening again!

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 03/02/2008 22:13

Oh dear Binkle.

oggsfrog · 04/02/2008 07:19

Morning
Binkle . Is your dress repairable? Not that you'll need it again obviously, seeing as you hardly ever go out.

Berrie · 04/02/2008 07:21

Morning...aaah a long night's sleep at last. I had nightmares though and shouted out at one point!

I'm debating whether or not to change my name...
Mum phoned yesterday as she was having a clearout of her computer. She asked if I still needed all the bookmarked photo's, articles, and 'letters' to my friends that I'd saved when I was down there in the summer
The 'letters' turn out to be bookmarked pages of the thread, and she worked out (obviously) who I was .
I don't remember bookmarking any pages, and honestly can't see why I would have. She said there are 41 pages .
What to do....what to do......?
