Go on...... .... what do you mean, 'er'?

LyraSilvertongue · 01/02/2008 17:04

I was quieter, but that's because i felt shy meeting you all for the first time. Oggs, you were much quieter than I expected. Berrie, you were pretty quiet too.

Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:06

I was tired

OP posts:
Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:07

Lyra you were much 'sweeter' than I thought if that doesn't sound too patronising...or perhaps that's just drunkedness!

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 01/02/2008 17:08

That's what I said when we first met.
I said I'd find it difficult without all the different ways of expressing myself... the emoticons and brackets etc.
Don't you remember I said maybe we should all have keyboards and chat like that
It's all these years of hermitdom/isolation/being a social outcast rather than a social animal like Binkle

Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:10

No no no....Binkle hardly ever goes out

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 01/02/2008 17:10

so Lyra's 'sweet' and I'm 'er'

Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:11

No no, I said you were reserved check back...

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 01/02/2008 17:15

We should definitely bring emoticon flash cards next time.

oggsfrog · 01/02/2008 17:23

So in Berrrie-speak I'm fat arsed hollow-backed and shy socially inept reserved

Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:25

Don't know about fat arsed but definatly silly arse!!!
You were lovely, I liked you very much.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 01/02/2008 17:31

Oggs, you are only pretending to be offended aren't you?

oggsfrog · 01/02/2008 17:34

Aw, shucks. Thanks. I now actually have some real life friends instead of online ones

I really had a great time. You were all brilliant. It's such a shame we live so far apart.

Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:38

You certainly do we'll have to come nearer you next time.

OP posts:
Berrie · 01/02/2008 17:38

OP posts:
Berrie · 01/02/2008 18:42

Lorks! Train crash on the line I was on yesterday. My journey was very nearly scuppered too!

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 01/02/2008 20:22

I really do think we should do another meet-up, maybe somewhere up north or in the west country. I feel bad that I didn't have to travel far. It was a really good night and I'm glad I met you all.

Berrie · 01/02/2008 22:45

Ahhh thanks LyraLoo, lovely to meet you too!

Oggs, where is your nearest town / station?

OP posts:
Berrie · 01/02/2008 22:54

How about the Lake District?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 01/02/2008 22:59

Lake District would be fab. We could go walking. I've been to Ambleside but that was many years ago.

Berrie · 02/02/2008 10:32

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 10:43

Berrie · 02/02/2008 10:46

I'm still not not quite recovered from our meet up I don't think!
How are things going re. DP's Dad?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 10:54

Ok, he's coping very well. But then he's not one to show his feelings.
What are you up to today? We've got viewings on the house so DP's in charge of making sure it's in a suitable state It's on the estate agents' website now. I'll email you a link if you're interested in seeing where I live.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/02/2008 10:59

I think it might hit him this afternoon though. he usually rings his dad on Saturday afternoons...
