No more viewings Oggs. last one was Saturday. The market is a little slack at the moment, methinks. At least I haven't had to do much cleaning.

Berrie · 15/02/2008 14:24

Tee Hee Lyra.
I just don't like the idea of chocolate fountains...a bit germy methinks although you did have to use a new stick each time. Also, you have to add a load of vegetable oil to the chocolate to make it flow...bleurgh!

Zeb, you have to send the prize if you lose

I looked up at those flats as we walked to Tower Bridge and thought of you Lyra as you'd mentioned it before but I didn't know they were the very ones! Very swanky!

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 15/02/2008 14:52

Are you going to buy one as your new swanky London pad Berrie?
And as the official winner, I'm going to send the loser a big packet of chocolate hobnobs. Mwahahaha

Berrie · 15/02/2008 15:22

Chocolate Hob Nobs...I'm a real sucker for those ...what are you trying to do to my weightloss Zeb!

Oggs is keeping a suspiciously low profile this afternoon. Come on Mrs, weigh in time!!!

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 15/02/2008 16:05

My gingerbread men went down well so it was worth all the effort.

LyraSilvertongue · 15/02/2008 16:06

And I finally have that lamb stew in the slow cooker.

oggsfrog · 15/02/2008 16:48

Jog to the post box! The nearest post box is nearly 10 bloody miles away!

oggsfrog · 15/02/2008 16:59

Zeb, how have you won the prize when a) you've had an 'eating week' which implies that not a lot of weight has been lost?, and b) it's the first week so there are no winners yet?

Have weighed in - so ner, ner, ne ner, ner, but a) have not actually started my transformation yet (read - have been eating like a pig), and b) am not going to put it on here, but will divulge only in the privacy of msn

LyraSilvertongue · 15/02/2008 17:06

I just sprinted to the corner shop to buy milk. Only because I left DC at home as I couldn't be bothered to get them into their coats and shoes and drag them out in the cold just to buy milk. I was only gone two minutes, honest.

Berrie · 15/02/2008 17:14

It was jog to the post box not shop Lyra

LyraSilvertongue · 15/02/2008 17:15

It's not something I do often. My lungs were on fire by the time I got back.

Berrie · 15/02/2008 17:16

I shall loose as I'm already having my first week. I am already 4lb lighter though I was a little dehydrated this morning

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/02/2008 17:17

I never knew how slow a slow cooker could be. After three hours, the potatoes were still hard and the meat still chewy. And I had it on the highest setting. Had to dish it up anyway for the boys. They seemed to like it.

binkleandflip · 15/02/2008 18:39

Cor Berrie, that sounds like a fab night out!!

Today has been a complete and utter write off starting with me and dd getting up late for school (dh's had set off in the middle of the night to Portsmouth) so we ran out of the house (me in my jeans and just my bra with a long coat over If I had been run over I probably would have been sectioned ) I then find out I have brought dh's office keys out instead of house keys so now I am locked out without keys/phone/money/any top on...

...after much hoohah I get spared keys brought to me - I then get a phone call to say pick the dog up. That was quick thinks I...no, she cant have the op for another two weeks as they have found she has wet eczema on her leg and it might get infected so had to treated first...I could have told them this but they never asked about existing conditions and I didnt make the connection that it would compromise the op..so...I spend an hour (ok, two) sprucing myself up for my meeting with Dr Gorgeous (the vet) thinking well, at least I can salvage something from today...a little bit of gratutious swooning...and then...

AND THEN..I drive an hour to the vets to find he has been called into emergency surgery (but of course he has ) so I am to deal with his geriatric colleague!! PAH!! What a waste of good lippie!!

Tommy better be good tonight or I may just flip completely...

LyraSilvertongue · 15/02/2008 18:51

Oh dear Binkle.
At least you won't have to worry about the dog when you're away next week.
Have a fab night!

Berrie · 15/02/2008 19:28

Ho ho ho Binkle. Serves you right for extra marital swooning (Berrie whistles innocently)

Berrie · 15/02/2008 19:31

Tee hee...DH just nipped up to the cost cutter and in a moment of weakness, I asked him to get me a fruit and nut bar. He forgot and I was as mad as a wasp!
I'm blimmin' falling asleep here but even I can't go to bed at 7.30 pm....the chocolate would have woken me up

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/02/2008 19:44
