Morning. That's a good idea Oggs. Is it Friday so that we can be just a little naughty at the weekend?
I was good alllll day yesterday and then spoiled it last night. But...never give up giving up eh?

One modest bowl of porridge with raisins...

LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 10:14

Keep it up Berrie! It gets easier after the first week.

Berrie · 13/02/2008 11:29

Have not even done one day yet

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 11:55

The porridge was a good start though.

Berrie · 13/02/2008 11:59

Parsnip and apple soup for lunch.

And I bought some salmon for tea...you really made me fancy it though I'd better lay off the mash. I only went to tesco for wellies...they cost me £75 in the end

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 12:37

£75 for wellies?!

Berrie · 13/02/2008 12:57

Nah, I spent £75 pounds and I only wanted wellies...

LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 12:59

Oh, I see.
DP's taking us all out for dinner tonight as he's off to South Africa tomorrow for his dad's funeral, so we won't see him till next week.

Berrie · 13/02/2008 13:24

Going anywhere nice?
Does DP like it in South Africa? I've heard it can be a bit frightening?

Oh yes...1 apple.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 13:32

SA is bloody dangerous, esp joburg where he's going.
Not going anywhere special tonight. Can't do posh with the DSs. Maybe italian?

LyraSilvertongue · 13/02/2008 14:45

DS2 and I are making gingerbread men. Never done it before. I found a great recipe on the Waitrose site.

Berrie · 13/02/2008 16:41

1 carrot

OP posts:
Berrie · 13/02/2008 20:03

Another day at work.
You'd be surprised how packed the trains are at 6-7am. I never knew so many people started work so early.

Berrie · 14/02/2008 08:05

Lordy...you start early.

1 small bowl or musli...do you think I've lost any weight yet?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 14/02/2008 08:09

The best thing you can do is increase your water intake if you're not drinking enough. I lost half a stone this way (or maybe it's the pills, it's hard to tell). And my skirts aren't tight around the hips/bum anymore. Hurrah!

Berrie · 14/02/2008 08:20

Sigh...I hate dieting and the worst thing is that I never keep it off. With weightwatchers and slimming world I lost a stone each. On the best diet I ever did, I lost 2 or 3 stone (can't remember it was a long time ago) that was a fat free diet and walking to university 2 1/2 miles. That stayed off for quite a time but that was your typical change of lifestyle as opposed to a diet diet oh and I broke up with dh then dp around the time of final teaching practice and lived on peanut butter sandwiches and brandy for weeks, that helped

Will officially start 'Operation Pig to Twig' tomorrow. Promise.

Berrie · 14/02/2008 11:01

Are we weighing in then then?

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 14/02/2008 11:06

erm.... erm..... ..... Yes!

What time shall we convene? or shall we just grab the chance when we are both online?

Berrie · 14/02/2008 12:06

Don't know...

Tuna salad....
Dh wants to have a takeaway tonight. I asked him not to send me flowers so he wants to buy a meal...but this is my third day of being good and I don't want to

OP posts:
Berrie · 14/02/2008 12:23

1/3 rd bananna, sultanas in fat free yoghurt...

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 14/02/2008 12:30

Ooh, you're doing so well Berrie

Instead of a takeaway, could he not treat you to a couple of big fillet steaks then you could have yours with salad. Not quite the same I know, but fillet steak is a big treat for me .
