Got a day out planned tomorrow to a wildlife and wetland centre. DH has a day off and we’ve pre-booked the tickets. I’ve —more or less— persuaded DS1 to come with us. Given that it’s all outside and the website says they’ve understandably had to close some of their toilet facilities, would anywench care to guess what has put in an appearance after several months of not bothering? Fucking brilliant.

Oh dear LetUs, that sort of thing always used to happen to me. Glad the roof is nearly finished.

I did some mending and I did one coat of paining and I started working and then realised than I'm still waiting for an answer to a question so I ground to a halt on that and went out into the garden instead to declare war on the bindweed and nettles.

That's bloody typical timing LetUs. FFS and all that. At least you've made plans though. Hurrah for the roofers getting on with work though.

How did you get on with bindweed and nettles - folk duo coming to a festival some time next year.

Even though I’d watched the last episode of first Strike and then all of the others, DH hadn’t realised. The other night I thought I’d watch the very first episode. DH walked in partway through and said oh we can finish watching this, which we did. He’s just suggested we watch the next ones

Yep - that works for me on many levels.

I did escape from the spreadsheets eventually, and took Inconvenient Cat to burn money at the local vet. They were very keen and have offered to burn lots of my money for me while they investigate if Inconvenient Cat has an infection or is just fine really. Oh well. Apparently he's 14 Our cats are old
Or I would, except I think they've both sodded off upstairs and have no interest in sleeping on/near me if anyone's bed is available upstairs. Pfft.

Cleanliness is good Wicked. Plus, wenches have super-clever skin which doesn't wrinkle like a prune, so we can stay in the bath with HBFs for ever as long as we want. (Made up fact #314)

DS and DH are still out. I am sitting in a silent house enjoying the sounds of outside countryside stuff. (Geese, mostly. Which isn't overly relaxing, but still...)

Weather's looking a bit dubious which might change my plans of going outside and working on the chicken run. Am currently on the sofa, cricket is on TV, which reminds me of this tweet which made me snigger yesterday...
