Evening. We don't have any sun here.

Very boring day, been doing some errands and having a general tidy up as the house is looking a bit of a tip.

Oh, poor TavCats, hope they're better soon.

Done a couple of hours on the jigsaw, watching a bit more of the Simon Reeve and then hayloft.

We've been watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Yet another late night for DS

In work news, I spent the day arguing with spreadsheets and discovered at 5:30 that someone has deleted a whole bunch of work, so I was severely hacked off with no-one to shout at. Inconvenient Cat has also been to the vet for a jab that will hopefully sort him out. I think he may have forgiven me. He was very well behaved for the vet anyway. And much biking was done today - partly to meet DS who was on his way back from a friend's house. Except he came home another way so I just got to sit by the road in the sun assuming that he was the slowest cyclist in the world - until he phone to say that he was already home

I have also eaten too much chocolate today.

Hope that Fancy has had a fun day with FancyMan (and FancyCat isn't going stir crazy), and that LetUs's and Apricot's houses are tidy now, and that we all have HBFs at our beck and call...

I have had a nice day thank you - did some more gardening and more mum-cabbing. My car stinks though ScaredyCat has been desperate to get out all day & has succeeded this evening ffs. Bloody cats.

Morning. Oh dear - I hope ScaredyCat hasn't made new paw worse

It's a bit bloody hot already Today I need to start clearing up the old chicken run, and also I may borrow a horse for a re-enactment of the gallopy gif staid plod around some fields. However, I shan't get my hopes up because this has been suggested and cancelled several times by my very lovely but somewhat flakey friend.

We don’t have the hot weather yet. In fact, we’ve had unexpected rain and it’s only now brightening up. DS1 has —grudgingly— gone to work with DH so it’s just me and DS2. Could do with nipping to a supermarket for a few bits and bobs but that’s effort.

Hope you get your horse ride Helen.

There will be more tidying at some point, perhaps even some dusting. One doesn’t like to overtax oneself.

On the plus side LetUs - if you do overtax yourself, you'll be needing a lie-down. And some food drink brought to you.

wicked - how is your foot today?

I’ve done a great deal of tidying and sorting (only a small area but crikey there was a lot of stuff), and have hoovered and dusted and cleaned.

I will therefore definitely take that offer of food and drink and general sustenance

In RL news, have heard from work. Initially said to go back near end of August, but pointed out I’m away (which I had reminded them about during previous conversations). If we’d not been going away, I’d have gone back in. So it’s the week after. I’m feeling very ho hum and surplus to requirements. I’m looking for something else, but this is obviously not a great time to do that.

No change with the foot Helen, not as bad as the first day though. Hopefully by using "steady" shoes I will get better.

I'm quite proud of myself, I finally painted the f-ing wall I've been meaning to paint since about a million years. First time for me, quite fun actually.
Also started painting two chest of drawers I bought a zillion years ago, then I will put some wallpaper on it.

Not planning to do much for the rest of the evening

I think I need another coat of paint, it looks a bit blotchy in one area. I'm thinking I might paint my bedroom walls next. If this energy lasts

In good news, lovely but slightly flakey friend came through and we had a nice sedate plod on horses. Gallopy-gallopy GIF was not re-enacted due to DS being on a lead rein behind me.

Currently watching Buffy. We have a re-animated/rehydrated incan princess Mummy on the loose and flirting with Xander (whio is in danger of being dehydrated and mummified himself...

Had just started to think about planning a family party for my approaching Big Birthday, hoping for good weather so we can spread people out in the garden. In the middle of messaging family, news flash popped up on my screen about restrictions coming back in so separate households can’t mix indoors or in private gardens. We’re in one of the affected areas. I’ll pop those plans on hold then.

Crikey it’s a bit warm, although it’s gone quite cloudy and breezy now.

Next door have got about 10 kids round, her parents are there and another grandparent. I’m trying to not be pissed off and let it go, but given that I’ve cancelled my mum and dad coming tomorrow, I’ll allow myself a bit of a gripe and then I’ll let it go.

Afternoon. It's been really hot and sunny here today, but just as I was planning a meal at The Apricot Terrace, a nice restaurant not too far from here, it's started raining.

Oh, my line broke again this morning, scattering washing all over the place. I must get a new one. I hitched it round a fence post, which was lower and shorter than before, but it was alright.

I have been working all day, so have not been lying in the sun, much as I'd like to. Unlike Inconvenient Cat, who has spent the day asleep, changing positions depending on his cycle of 'it's too hot outside/indoors is nicer/it's not hot enough indoors/outside is nicer/it's too hot outside'. I have done no exercise and need to go out on my bike. It's a bit windy though.
Oh well...
