I've got the lovely job of wrapping a bulky musical instrument which I've sold on eBay for DS. I don't mind doing it, but every time I sell something he brings something else to sell.

I’ve checked the forecast and it seems the thunder’s on its way to us tonight.

Lots of washing done, didn’t do any ironing. Just had a small try on and clear out of clothes, because obviously today’s been quite nice so I felt the need to piss myself off But things look a bit tidier now so that’s good.

Wonder if I can get Aramis to appear?

Morning. I should be in the garden, doing things

Sunny but a bit breezy. Have done the exercisething and now resemble an overripe tomato.

DS2 is off to sportingactivity soon but DS1 has flatly refused to go. It’s quite disappointing as he’s achieved quite a bit but hasn’t quite reached the top (which he’s more than capable of doing) but we can’t make him go and it’s now just a waste of money, so we’ve cancelled his attendance.

Weird dream including driving through Yorkshire (obviously not weird), an ancient stone castle on the moors that was on fire but sort of a tornado fire, arriving at a hotel to be given instructions to go to the castle and being given a pack of stuff to take with us which included packets of children’s socks in various sizes and about 30 pairs of opaque swimming goggles. No idea.

at DS1. Still he can always start SportingActivity again if he decides to. Boo to missing out of HBI and the innuendos though.

My dream involved forgetting to shut the chickens away, and coming down in the morning to find them wandering about the garden. I absolutely didn't do that yesterday. Not at all

FFS - I've mooched the entire morning away doing nothing productive.

I’d forgotten about HBI. Ah well it wouldn’t be me taking the DC (they’re in the same class - or would be if DS1 still went) so we would still be innuendoless.

Took DS2 for new trainers because he said his current ones were hurting. That would be because they’re a size and a half too small.

We’ve had football on. You may have heard them

DS is not far off the same shoe size as DH [horror]

In utterly brilliant news, we missed the football because we were out in the garden. DH was a bit grumpy though - he didn't mean to forget it. Now we've got Pirates of the Caribbean on, because DS doesn't remember seeing it before.

Flipping heck Helen! DS2’s feet are now bigger than mine, although I do have quite small feet for my height, but he’s nowhere near DH.

Well done on missing the football. We’ve got Match of the Day on now. At least it’ll tail off now, although I know there’s a final or two coming up.

I need an early night.

Morning. Cloudy here and a bit rainy (or it was at 5am when I opened up the chicken house, because I was awake and they like being outside) Did go back to bed, but I'm trashed now and wish I could blame Athos for knackering me further... Sadly not. As ever. Thoughtless git.

Drive in comedy gig was good - the drive in aspect was a bit weird but it was great to be out doing something different.

I'm trying to think what I've been doing today. Ah yes, went to our little local Sainsbury's (two people not in masks ) and then took the musical instrument to the drop off shop (one person not in mask ).

Rained nearly all day, although the sun’s decided it will come out now. Everyone’s had masks on in the few shops I’ve been in over the last few days, with the exception of the sports shop yesterday. Part of me is imagining you wheeling a wrapped up piano into the Post Office Apricot

Things are hurting. I’ve had paracetamol for a headache, but my hip’s playing up and my dodgy shoulder’s decided to join in. Can’t take ibuprofen so I think I should just go to bed.
