Actually not raining here. I think I even saw the sun earlier.

Not much planned other than homework, washing and tidying. Might do a drive by at my parents’ house and wave at them.

Oh - Brave New World - I was vaguely tempted but haven't done anything about it. Then I read this review yesterday www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/oct/02/brave-new-world-review-sky-tv

Has been raining on and off here. It woken me periodically from 5am - I thought our window must be ajar because it was so loud, but no - it was just very noisy rain (and wind? too dark too see, even if I could be bothered to get up and look).

We also have homework on the cards here, and possible painting or the decorating variety. And/or embroidery because I need to do some and keep putting it off. Also could do with getting a tiny bit of shopping, and working out how to unblock a slow-draining shower without using the stuff that says it's hideously toxic to aquatic life. I see I have a day of domestic bliss ahead of me then.

at the idea of washing on the line. We are still stuck under a perpetually raining cloud. DH is painting, DS has done his homework (and I've managed to beat the printer into submission to print it out for him), shopping is done, and I've ordered reams of some sink unblocking stuff. Get me sounding all productive!

I am extremely impressed Helen! Athos is on his way to express how impressed he is with you.

DS2 is driving me demented re homework and his generally crappy attitude as soon as he has to sit down to do it. I suspect a large part of said attitude is anxiety driven but fucksake it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.

Washing is off the line and ironed and ready to be put away —when I can be arsed—

Afternoon. You've all been very productive.

I've been trying to carry on with TB and but I keep falling asleep and forgetting where I am, so I've given up for now. I had a bad night last night for no particular reason.

at waving to parents. I only see the DC when there's something to collect.

We're still plodding through watching Outlander. I'm getting fed up with it as it's so contrived. Everyone keeps meeting up in the same place completely by accident whether it's Scotland, a Caribbean island or North Carolina. DH won't give it up though as he likes Claire.

'Contrived' - yes. I gave up reading the Outlander books for that exact reason Apricot. If DH insists on watching it, can you just tune out any pretense of following the plot and just watch it for MrClaire (I forget his name until I start typing, and then remember - Jamie. That's the one. (I prefer MrClaire) Hopefully you get a better night's sleep tonight. Of at least a night packing with FAF-filled dreams.

Had the weirdest dream last night. We wenches had started a company, at least you were there Helen, you was the boss sort off and this guy hired us for doing some stuff around his house and I was supposed to do hummus and pesto and also a soup but destroyed his stove somehow. And then I woke up

Coincidentally there was a Leslie Caron documentary on this afternoon. She’s the only the woman to dance with Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Nureyev and Baryshnikov.

DS2’s attitude and behaviour has improved but not before he was a complete sod which resulted in an iPad ban.

Remember when people could just visit each other and go to each other’s houses. Mad times.

Wicked at that dream. I’d have fit right in. I have exploded a casserole dish in the past. It’s not that easy to clean sauce off the ceiling let me tell you.

Afternoon. I've been reading more TB, but I've got a headache now.

Sadly the DC aren't supposed to visit us, even in the garden at the moment. They can visit each other though. . I'm a bit worried that they'll stop us going to the caravan, and it needs to be shut down this month, but DS wants to go at half-term.

It was lovely this morning. Got a wash out, went to the shops, went for my physio, watched tv. Then it started raining but luckily I got the washing in before the heavens opened. It hasn’t stopped since and I’m a bit bored of it.

I’ve no doubt there’ll be yet more football on tonight so I shall have an early night with TB
