spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

well i have just got off the phone to him. hopefully removing his temp pacemaker today as the heart is keeping good rhytmn, apparently 20% of transplanted hearts need permanent pacing, so he is very happy. says his chest feels soft where theytook out his old ICD Implantable_cardioverter-defibrillator and he is still feelign a bit crappy, but says everyone is telling him he is doing well.

his 'eat what ever you can as long as its high fat and high calorie diet' has been extended to 8 weeks, as he stil lcant swallow correctly and is seeing SALT daily.

His mum popped by yesterday but i had to keep her on the doorstep at arms reach as i cant risk her getting ill as well. she offered to babysit on monday as is our wedding anniversary but told her i couldnt risk it as i dont know how long the girls would be ill, so my mum is doing it as my mum wont be visiting peter for a while, due to her visiting my nan who has MRSA (confusing i know).
