Morning everyone!
Here's the new threadx

Does anyone know when KL are typically casting new faces? Ds2 has been with Scallywags for the last two years, started off really well but this year's been next to nothing so I'm considering contacting other agencies rather than paying another 200 and something pounds to renew with Scallywags.

Already had a "no" from Bruce and Brown..

thanks mummyeme, our first official job with kl!! (even though it came to nothing, it shows he was chosen as you say) so now Ive booked hin out for the week we are away, though should have done that sooner, you live and learn!
Michaelad, just apply to kl as they accept applications all year round they dont have specific periods of the year. good luck!

don't be disheartened about bb, I rang them a couple of days ago and they said they aren't taking anymore until september for dds age which is 3 (and to call back then to see which vacancies there are), don't know if that aplys to all age groups tho.

Hi,I'm new to mumsnet and have a query about modelling agencies, has any1 heard of Babyshak aparently they are a part of the bizzy ltd companies(bizzykids)but I am struggling to find any info on them apart from on there website, my 4month old son has just been accepted onto there books without even wanting to meet him seems a bit odd considering its meant to be down to the babies personality aswell as looks!!please help

Bezi, hope i can be of some help, youve been accepted by bizzykidz and babyshak is their baby zone, dont worry if they dont want to see your baby as babies change so quickly. just update your pics on a regular basis and they will find the work, they are a reputable agency and you are in good hands with them, good luck (smile)

If i were you i would send off your little ones details to all the different agencies, see who accepts him and then decide rather than join the first one that accepts him. Although BIZZYKIDZ are reputable they do have 900+ kids on their books where as others only have 250 or so so you would stand more chance of getting work! To name a few which don't charge you anything to join(another bonus!!) are KIDS LONDON, BRUCE & BROWN, MOT JUNIOR, ALPHABETKIDZ, URBAN ANGELS, BUBBLEGUM ones which charge but are also well know are ELISABETH SMITH, SCALLYWAGS, TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS,
We have seen kids from all of these agencies at castings/jobs we have done.

bezi some agents snap up some children wwith no assesment. bb are a good agent. my ds has done quite well with them so far. bb have no assesment or upfront fees which was a huge bonus when we joined them. good luck

dancerdeb - bet you are really frustrated. i know i would be. make sure you keep them up to date with any hols in the future or birthdays. i had it last year refused a casting for my ds as on my dds birthday. ds wanted to go and started crying. he said he didnt care about his dds party! we couldnt fit it in as we needed both parents to do the party. ds was not impressed at all! i wished i had advised them dates before so i didnt have the hassle. i would rather not know

thanks for your advice. After kl called, I sent them an email booking out my ds for the week, but as you say, that should have been done a while back, hope it hasnt ruined our chances for future bookings as I dont think they were very happy with me and rightfully so. Any news your end with b&b, how long have you been with them?

dancerdeb - no nothing for us. ds joined them aug last year. i always hope with the holidays ds will get something yet he hasnt had anything since debenhams the last week of term and we only got called on the day. never mind the sun is shining

yeah a lovely day and what am I doin but cleaning the loft as we are having a loft conversion! my older two are in Italy with Nonna (gran) Papa has taken them over, he is due back tomorrow, ds and myaelf are having a lovely time on our own!! then on Tuesday off to my sisters in sunny Liverpool for a week!! why dudnt we go to Italy? coz Ive been going there for 24yrs now and I wanted to enjoy my home, as its my first summer in the uk, since I was a youngster believe it or not. Sorry Julie for my verbal diaorehea that has nothin to do with modelling, just felt like a chat!!

dancerdeb - enjoy your free time whilst you can. everyone needs a break! i am more productive with housework when the kids are out/away

Im not going bonkers, kl have called again to see if we can do the disney on thurs, spoke to my sis and have reorganized goin on away after the disney job, Im so exicited never mind my ds!!

Congrats Dancerdeb, you must be so pleased!! Well done!!

Just heard from UA and Ds has got his first job with The White Company on Wednesday. Am so happy for him. It was his 7th casting and I was begining to think he would run his cotnract without getting anything.

Yeah it certainly does. I hadn't heard anything so thought he hadn't got it and went away for the weekend and came back to a very plesant e.mail!

dancerdeb- they must've really wanted him to ring u again after saying u couldn't make it, its good you could change your holiday.. good luck, looks like summer hols might be busier for you guys.
i'm gonna have such a shock when we finally get a job or casting!!! we've only had dress fitting which we couldn't make!

back from the disney shoot a great day,he did most of the outfits (boys) coming out for xmas, and wil be in the online disney shop around about october i should imagine. Got called for a job tomorrow for Debenhams is anybody else going? julie4travel, I know youve done a bit of Debs?

No good fortune has it that we were leaving tomorrow evening so it has fitted in perfectly, I didnt expect that call at all today!! what is it like working with them are they a nice team of people? I was hoping that you were called as well.

dancerdeb the team we had was lovely, lucky you, good luck, see if you can find out what the pictures will be used for, they were really vague with us.
