Rubystar, I live in north london, Barnet. Totallyfloaty, well done for your casting, your dd2 is with kl isnt she, has she been on any other castings during her time woth them, I think we joined them around about the same time, mid-April?

hi deb,yes she joined kl at beginning of june and this will be her 3rd casting for them.

sorry she joined in may not june,dd2 has a job on fri for debenhams mag,anyone else doing it?

You'll hear soon I'm sure. Haven't heard at all re. dd but with our last agency she was up to loads of castings (Burberry and allsorts of things) so I'm a bit miffed. The previous agency want her back too. But at least with KL you can be happy you've got the best chance.

mummyeme, your dd is with bk isnt she, it did take a bit for things to warm up when my ds was with them, but at the time I was also with ak when she wasnt sole rep,(and got quite a bit with her) so i didnt think much about bk at the time.why dont you try Mot they arent sole rep and they get a lot of work for their kids? what agency was she with previously? I agree mummyeme, I know I couldnt be in a better place as regards opportunities.

Rubystarr and Dancerdeb, dd was with NCA and did a lot of castings with them, most of the other kids at the castings were with KL and Scallywags. Just left because I couldn't afford to renew at the time but wish I had now. But then again there wouldn't seem to be much about at the moment. However at least as an agency NCA were able to tell me if dd had been put forward for things even if we didn't get the casting/job.
Hope it's going great for everyone else.

Thanks very much, will definitely try mot I've got some really nice photos so fingers crossed. It's so annoying when she did so well before and at an age where they said there isn't much work. Hey ho. But you'll be well away soon I'm sure.

if you remember thats how I did it with bk and ak when it was possible. Mot are very good, check out their website as its password free, it shows you what the kids have done etc wish you the best

Thanks very much. Joined mimo a little while back and they are getting quite a bit for older kids, 4+ at the moment so bit too old for dd but may be really good for your ds. Not sure if kl is sole rep, if not there have been 3 jobs in the past week wanting 4-8yr olds, so definitely worth going for if you can.
Thanks for your good wishes and we'll go for it, next job is finding a photo printer! can't get my new camera to work on my really (not at all) up to date computer.

mummyeme-did you manage to print her pics.
its tough what is the best decision with agencys when they've got high fees, we've got til march/april with these so fingers crossed something will come up.
BK have let me know about 2 jobs they put my dd forward to but she wasn't on clients shortlist, they done weight and height checks for the jobs then didn't hear nothing.

Rubystarr77, I printed her pics via bonusprint online and they've come out really well A6 size only cost about £2.50 (for about 8) and they were here in a couple of days so I'd really recommend them if you haven't printed yours yet.

re photo prints tescos and snapfish are both very quick sending back pictures, i have used them both for passport photos and headshots etc. even better when they have specials on where you get it even cheaper. tescos you can also collect instore to save on postage if you want. its dead easy

mummyeyme - how do you know there has been some jobs this week for 4 to 8 year olds do you know people who have had these castings or do you ask your agent? this is more out of curiosity. we havent had any calls this school holidays

Julie4travel, They've sent out emails to ask if any of the children fit the criteria, age age and personality wise, if so they will put your child forward. The casting and job dates and locations are there to see if you'd be availible. Some great stuff tho too, a couple for mastercard and one by the ex henson people for a tv series to air in 2009 (now that would be awesome!) gutted my dd is too young but fingers crossed for more.

mummyeyme sounds good. have you ever had a casting out of them? i wouldnt have a clue what my ds has been put forward for, yet i know his agent get lots of jobs/castings. i am sure it will pick up for your lo soon

News, am absolutely gutted, had to refuse a straight job, no casting for disney, on the 9th of august as we are away, kl said it was okay as two boys had been chosen and my ds was their first choice aaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhh!!

What a nightmare! But it does put him in the spotlight and they may well ask for him in future, on top of that it reinforces his potential with KL (if it works that way). CONGRATULATIONS!!! Have to say, told you it'd happen, very excited for you.
