Hi
Thanks for the welcome. DH has rang and DD is loving the shoot, has messaged me some photos and she looks to be having a ball.

Lolly68 · 11/07/2007 15:09

Welcome Splishy. What agency is your DD with? My DD is with B&B.

FooFooTrue · 12/07/2007 12:42

Hi all, I normally am just a reader of this post. DD (22 months) had a job yesterday which was a disastor, they wanted her to wear a costume which was pulling on her neck so she was having none of it. Was a shame as would of been great to do it. Am thinking about giving up for a while until she's a bit older. If you were giving up would you let the agency know or just not send updated pics?
Also I'd love to know if any of the mums work as well, if so how do you get your kids to the castings?? Thanks

dancerdeb · 12/07/2007 12:52

Hello foofootrue, thats a shame that the job didnt work out, but shes only little and maybe it was just a bad day for her, butI really wouldnt give up, you'll see on your next job that it will be a good day and you'll be glad you hadnt considered giving up! Im sure we all have days that dont go well and we are disappointed, but thats part of the business I suppose, I still have to tell myself that!! Im a bit disappointed too as my ds was shortlisted for a job and he didnt get it. What agency are you with?

FooFooTrue · 12/07/2007 12:59

Hi, i'm with kids london since feb. She's had three jobs, two which didn't go well due to them putting her in costumes and about 10 castings. I'm going to start part time childminding soon so that is also a reason in giving up as i wouldn't always be able to take her to castings.

dancerdeb · 12/07/2007 13:06

Im also with KL, we have been with them since mid-April and have had two castings, both shortlisted, but no outcome. Maybe you can get around that if your job is going to be part time, as I teach two days a week and if potentially I couldnt make a casting Id organize for my DH to take him, or substitute myself with a dance assistant, Im sure you can get around that with friends and family?

Lolly68 · 12/07/2007 14:57

FooFoo - I work full time but because have not had many castings etc it works out quite well for me. If I get a casting job - I just take the day off or go sick! If DD became really busy though dont know how I would cope!!

dancerdeb · 16/07/2007 20:55

Hi all,
my ds has lost his first front tooth!!
where are you all? julie4travel. mumyeme, totallyfloaty, goinfor3 and the list goes on....

wigglesmum · 16/07/2007 21:30

Hi finally have Sky Broadband back! Felt a bit bad posting and then not being able to reply.

Well done to people with castings etc and thanks for the feedback on Scallywags

Well I rang Scallywags to buy the CD of my DS's photoshoot and asked when he was likely to get a casting and the girl who answered said it all depended on what came in in blah blah blah.

Do you think I should enquire at other agencies again- I tried KL and BB back in Jan and it was a no- is it too soon?

julie4travel · 17/07/2007 08:18

wigglesmum- we got 2 nos from bb before they said yes you have waited 6 months so try again.

dancerdeb - sorry been busy. my ds had a debenhams job last week very last minute yet he really enjoyed it so cant complain. quite a few of us still talk on msm so dont post much. we had a call for another casting yet were on holiday, i darent ask what it was for, its better not to know

seems to have got busier the last couple of weeks. bet it goes quiet when school hols start

nothing else recently for dd

dancerdeb · 17/07/2007 08:31

julie4travel, for some reason thought you were with KL? it must have been the tedbaker casting conversation we had!! are both your children with B&B? One more thing how do you get on the msn thing, havent a clue!! as regards my little one we havent heard anymore since our last two castings, I dont think we will for a while as he is missin his front tooth. thats great news on your debenhams job, well done!

mummyeme · 17/07/2007 09:50

Hi all,
We were away on holiday so are only just back, been really quiet for us.
Dancerdeb, I've seen a few ads lately where the little one is waiting for their next teeth at the front, so you never know. Were you a tooth fairy and did you pull it off, never knew how my mum managed not to wake me!
Congrats to all with castings and jobs

julie4travel · 17/07/2007 10:00

dancerdeb- no just my ds with bb, they said no to dd so she started with ts in jan. one of the little girls who did ted baker had her teeth missing and still gets lots of work. dont think it matters nowadays.

debenhams was good, we never got called for casting for them though, i prefer jobs no casting. more notice would have been better yet i cant complain!

dancerdeb · 17/07/2007 10:01

mummyeme, hope you had a lovely holiday and had some chill time!! The missin tooth came out in a bite of an apple!! and the other one is wobbly and he likes carrots!!

dancerdeb · 17/07/2007 11:44

julie, sorry i didnt see your message!! Yes how I wish we could get some straight jobs and no castings, just to not have to go through all the waiting and hoping, if you know what I mean. How do you find ts, does your daughter get work with them?

julie4travel · 17/07/2007 12:20

dancerdeb 2 castings this year, she didnt get both of them although months later she was called and later confirmed for a different job from one of those castings. some modelling agents read this forum by the way

dancerdeb · 17/07/2007 13:00

julie4travel, what do you mean about some modelling agents read this forum, have I said something I shouldnt of?

Tinkerbel5 · 17/07/2007 14:48

dancerdeb I dont think julie was hinting you had said anything wrong, think she was just mentioning it.

3lambs are you here ?

julie4travel · 17/07/2007 15:23

dancerdeb- sorry didnt mean it to come out like that. i am wary what i post as i know agencies read this forum. so i try not to comment too much on agencies. last year we did a modelling event and the people running it were reading up on everything and i said innocent stuff yet had to get info removed . didnt want to get sued or anything!

julie4travel · 17/07/2007 15:29

tink - i dont think 3lambs has been on here since last year has she? i had wondered if they have had anything since being with bb

totallyfloaty35 · 17/07/2007 15:30

great any agents reading this, giz a job,my 12yr old is with your agency debbie at bk!!
