julie, just got in from work, thanks for that advice, yeah anybody got any work out there? for one very eager little boy with a tooth missin!! I wish

ellesmum · 17/07/2007 20:12

dancerdeb - how old is your ds? my dd is 3 and has had a casting for disney this month which she didnt get and a availability check for debenhams that didnt come to anything. this year has been slow with kids london but last year was quiet busy. im sure your ds will get work soon.

dancerdeb · 17/07/2007 21:58

ellesmum, thanks for that reassurance, my ds is 5yrs old and has had 2 castings in 3 months, its not a complaint, as Im sure kl put forward the criteria thats asked of them, I guess,I thought having been acccepted by kl, things would take off really quickly, but Im learning!!

julie4travel · 18/07/2007 08:05

dancerdeb- 2 castings in three months isnt bad for this year. been very quiet. my 7 year old hasnt had a casting. i may see you at castings sometime as my ds is the size of a 6 year old, he hasnt grown in ages

dancerdeb · 18/07/2007 08:30

Julie4travel, Hopefully we will meet up sooner or later, lets hope its sooner! hope you hear somethin soon for your ds!

julie4travel · 18/07/2007 11:53

dancerdeb we prob will if we get the same castings

MUM007 · 19/07/2007 11:48

Hi havent been on for ages. Is everyone on this MSN now? I seemed to have registered and have an account. How do I find everyone? Do I have to be invited. Any advice please. Thanks would love to catch up with whats going on my DD is 9 and is with an agency.

julie4travel · 19/07/2007 12:03

mum007 you have to apply to be in the group, it no longer lets us send out invites, when you apply put information about yourself such as agency, if you have met anyone from the group in person etc. normally once someone has met you then you get invited in. hope that makes sence, msm is really quiet today anyway think people are busy with the end of term stuff

MUM007 · 19/07/2007 12:31

Julie- Thanks for that all a bit too complex for me!!!! I will keep trying!

ellesmum · 19/07/2007 12:53

julie4travel · 19/07/2007 13:22

ellesmum superb not us, will email you

Picklesmummy · 19/07/2007 15:03

Hi all! I'm new to mumsnet and was kindly pointed in the direction of this thread as I have a modelling query. I live on the South Coast and am interested in getting my baby into modelling. Trouble is I know that most agencies are based in London as are most of the auditions. Has anyone had any experience of agencies that aren't London-centric? Does anyone know of any repututable (non-scam!) ones in or near Southampton/Portsmouth/Salisbury/Bournemouth...etc..?

dancerdeb · 20/07/2007 09:21

picklesmummy, I wish I could help, but I really havent heatd of any reputable agencies in those areas, maybe someone has?

totallyfloaty35 · 20/07/2007 11:06

pickles, there is an agency in brighton called fresh agents but im not sure how much work they get,but really even if the agency is in the south all the castings and jobs are in london so im afraid you have to be prepared to travel

dancerdeb · 20/07/2007 17:29

Hi everyone its me again! I keep meaning to ask do kl close down for a summer break, or are they open all year round?

Rubystar77 · 20/07/2007 18:50

hi mums,
not been here for a few weeks,
been busy but not with modelling!
dancer deb do you have to tell kl of any changes to your ds? might be what they are looking for a toothless 5 year old!

dancerdeb · 20/07/2007 19:35

rubystar, welcome back yeah Ive informed them of his tooth, Im sorry but I cant remember what agency you are with? I think its been a very quiet time for us all lately, hopefully summer might bring something exiting

Rubystar77 · 22/07/2007 21:29

hi dancerdeb,
19 month dd with bk and 7 month dd with scallywags. x

dancerdeb · 22/07/2007 21:42

Ruby oops now I remember!! sorry. My ds has slapped cheek virus, which was goin around at school in the last few weeks and I seemed to have picked up something as not feelin too well. Anyways here's to a good healthy week! Can I repeat my question please, do agencies stay open during summer?

Rubystar77 · 22/07/2007 22:53

oh dear, lots going round. we've all been a bit under the weather last few weeks.
do you live in london?
as far as i know they are still open, you'd think it would be busiest time as kids already off school...

totallyfloaty35 · 22/07/2007 23:10

they stay open deb,it can go quiet during august although saying that my eldest dd got called for about 8 castings last summer hols, all of which i had to turn down as i was heavily pregnant and ill
