Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective

Was a cracking sunrise here, and still dry at the moment. On today's exciting list of things to do, is the shopping that I couldn't do yesterday. Hurrah.

Evening. It's rained all day here and is very windy. I haven't ventured out.

I didn't sleep particularly well, but then I never do.

From reports I've read, Tom's play is over 3 hours long , and is "dark and intense" with a minimalist stage and modern dress. Frankly, I'm a bit apprehensive. I think I read somewhere that it's in iambic pentameter and as Shakespeare was lost on me, I think it's going to be hard going for me particularly as my hearing isn't too good. Oh well.

No rain here today, but windy. I just went to start making tea and discovered that the joint I bought takes nearly 3 hours to cook I have cut it in half and will hope that works for reducing the cooking time

Aramis, meanwhile, is very interested in the fact that you'e going out LetUs - and is on his way to help you choose an outfit. It will involve taking your clothes off. A lot.

Athos’s Apple picking technique appears to involve shaking the tree so that all the apples are on the ground for you to bend over to collect. Sneaky

at Aramis’s method of providing wardrobe assistance. I’ll also be having a shower so will HBFs on hand for that. Actually, I’ve gone a bit warm thinking about all that.

Second bout of windfalls-retrieval was sadly lacking in Athos. Probably just as well tbh, since DH was out them and might have been a bit at Athos' version of 'assistance'

We finished watching Vanity Fair btw. Was highly enjoyable - though I've not read the book or seen other adaptations so I don't have anything to measure up against. Reassured DH that I wouldn't have left him in a debtor's prison.
DH: "You would if you were with an HBF." he replied
Me: I would Not! leave you there for long if there was a HBF occupying me at the time

Am already partway through a bottle of wine.

Apparently the preview night had some technical glitches, which were sorted out by the nest night, and there's a video at www.facebook.com/ExeterNorthcottTheatre/videos/2154148888154488/ of interviews with people who've seen it. I haven't watched it, so I have no idea. But dumping the link here for viewing at some point later.
