would have said it sooner, but dd has been poorly, getting better now though. Hope it went wellXX

dancerdeb · 21/06/2007 20:56

Hi all, mumyeme hope your little dd is on the mend now, if I remember she is 3?
yeah short and quick casting, lots of gorgeous children, had a quick look at the call sheet when giving in details, mainly b&b and kl.
goingfor3 how did it go, was your dd on form?
my ds was asked when was he 5, he replied "on my birthday"!
was called for another casting tomorrow, cant believe it, its for new look and its at the same place, anybody else goin? his new shots seem to be workin!!

goingfor3 · 21/06/2007 22:08

It was very quick and DD was happy. It's so hard to tell with quick castngs especially when you haven't met any of the people doing the casting before. We had to turn down the new look casting as we have a fridge arrving in the afternoon. Shame as it's easy to get too!

mummyeme · 22/06/2007 17:56

Hi,
Great news re catings. Thats great! Dancerdeb, knew you'd get some things soon. It was really funny to hear how your ds replied to them, dd was in a persil casting and they had a play t-set, but when asked to pour some tea she said the kettle wasn't ready yet. Film was the best, it was a memorial scene and the preist was reading the sermon, it was complete silence with cameras everywhere and dd shouted "whats that noise mummy"
Rubystarr, we weren't with any agency for the film I was just asked if dd would be in it. The film is Incendiary but it won't be released until next year, Ewan Mc.Gregor's in it, but gutted he wasn't there for our bit. Can't wait!

doyouwantfrieswiththat · 22/06/2007 22:51

ds has just been offered a contract with scallywags, they charge a hefty commission fee don't they?

totallyfloaty35 · 23/06/2007 10:51

they do indeed, try some others first like kids london, mot and bruce and brown

dancerdeb · 23/06/2007 13:52

hiya totallyfloaty,I remember you sayin you had applied to ak, how did the application go? as you can see we have had a very positive week, I cant complain now with my two castings!!

OP posts:
perfumelady · 23/06/2007 22:09

hi everyone such a log time since i have been on here how is everybody? nothing much happening on the modelling front for dd, how about anyone else?

julie4travel · 24/06/2007 15:06

do you want fryes with that- there fee is a lot nearly £200 try agencies such as bruce and brown and ones on the list that someone else has posted as they charge little fees

totallyfloaty35 · 24/06/2007 15:37

dancerdeb, she accepted all my kids, was quite funny as only applied for 1!! I had a really long chat with her and we got on great, there is just one problem...she no longer does multi agent and as i just put dd1 with bk(who dont do refunds) i will leave it for a little while.

dancerdeb · 24/06/2007 17:34

totallyfloaty35, well maybe youve got the best of both worlds with two difffent agents for your dd's! hope everythin starts happenin soon

OP posts:
totallyfloaty35 · 24/06/2007 19:25

deb,all my dds are with different agents! dd1 with bk,dd2 with kl and dd3 with ua.

dancerdeb · 24/06/2007 20:17

totallyfloaty, gotcha, leave dd1 where she is then, as I was with both ak and bk, and found bk a better agency . Your little ones must be gorgeous!!

hi mums,

thats great news dancerdeb, how did you get on on fridays casting for NL?
we had a call from Bk for a job on thursday to see if we are available, we are just waiting to hear if they need her its all the way in leicstershire, prepared to travel. not sure if its advert or photo shoot.
and still waiting to hear on the babies r us shoot as they said it starts 2nd july.
Thats funny what your little ones say.
going for 3- how did your little one get on at casings?
does seem a good week, good luck everyone xx

Rubystar77 · 25/06/2007 07:36

hi totally floaty- what ages are your girls, you been doing the modelling for long?
you must be busy with 3 different agencies, mine are with bk and sw.

totallyfloaty35 · 25/06/2007 09:11

my ddi is 12yrs,she was with ts and then bubblegum from birth til 6yrs(we then moved out of london so stopped modelling for several yrs.she did tons of stuff as a baby, its quieter for her age group though. dd2 is 9yrs old she did a little moddelling as a baby and dd3 is 8months and has done about 8jobs,she is on m&s website and tesco baby guide at the mo.But its been really quiet for all of them for the last 3wks.

Rubystar77 · 25/06/2007 09:35

wow, will look out for her, mine are 18 months and 6 months. was with agencys from 3 months and had nothing, changed agencys now, did your baby get the work with bk?
i should've put my youngest with them 2!

Rubystar77 · 25/06/2007 09:38

what one is she totally floaty? what she wearing, theres some gorgeous babies on there .

Rubystar77 · 25/06/2007 09:40

just re read and your youngest is with ua? we tried and got no's for both.

totallyfloaty35 · 25/06/2007 10:16

hi my lo is wearing an apple of my eye t-shirt,a stripy t-shirt and trousers thing and a lilac short dungaree set.i wouldnt worry about being turned down by certain agents,Bruce and brown turned my baby down twice but she still works and some agents wont take babies that look to similar to others on there books. Also she didnt get any work til she was 4months and she joined u/a at 2months old.
My 9yr old has hardly had anything in the last 18months and apart from 1 casting with kl we heard nothing from them, but its a waiting game, have you had work from your agencies?

dancerdeb · 25/06/2007 11:33

Rubystar77, my fingers are crossed for you!
The NL casting went really well, apparently or so Im told the artistic director was the one taking snapshots of the lo's, he spent quite a bit of time with my ds, he then asked what, and how much work my lo had done in the past, and commented on how confident he was, but you never know what their looking for do you! here's hopin for us all

OP posts:
Rubystar77 · 25/06/2007 12:39

shes lovely your little one, lots of hair. there is one on there very similar to my youngest. its harder the older they get for your eldest, i think the most ages are 3-6 when they are still small and cute.
no mine haven't done anything, dd1 was with rascals for a year and didn't get a single phonecall, since they've been with new agencys about 3 months, my youngest had availability check for casting then that got cancelled and a fitting for m&s but she was ill so couldn't go and my other one has had 2 availabiltiy checks one for this week and one for next for jobs, so just got to wait and hear..
just always availailty checks for us!
thats great dancerdeb, nice to have good feedback, hopefully he will get it.. x

mummyeme · 26/06/2007 08:41

Hi everyone,

Dancerdeb, that sounds great, couldn't be more positive, fingers crossedx

Rubystarr, Thats great news you'll soon be travelling around a lot by the sound of it. Seems positive on the BK front as we also had a call last week for a baby and toddler cookbook photoshoot, but don't think dd's license was ready as we've only been with them a couple of weeks and she was poorly too in the end. Theres a really nasty bug about, Temp for 3 days and nasty cough which meant she couldn't sleep. She's much better now though. Just wondered if your photos from the BK shoot are up yet? Keep checking but dds aren't there but they did say it could take a while (really keen to see how they turned out).
Fingers crossed for your jobsX

Hope everyone is well

Rubystar77 · 26/06/2007 11:48

hi mummyeme, no hers aren't up yet, keep checking. thats a shame that you couldn't make it for the shoot.

dancerdeb · 27/06/2007 11:51
